I think my Tank is broken? (PS3)

Legit question here.

 

I went into Online and fired up my tank. There were these guys having fun doing something and my intention was to troll them and spawn kill them with my tank.

 

Some other guy came along in a Jet of some sort and killed me with one shot.

 

Assumed he was a hacker but he swears he wasn't. I kept trying to spawn kill these other guys but every time I called for my Tank, Jet guy would come along and blow my tank up with one shot.

 

How is this possible? It's a TANK!

 

Obviously this is an issue that has to be a glitch or exploit?

 

Any help fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated. I spent like almost 2 million on this Tank.

 

What good is it if people can just blow up my Tank before I can spawn kill people?

 

Is there some counter-cheat I can use to counteract the Jet Glitch?

tank armor is awful now, only one good strafe from a jet is needed to destroy a tank.

not a glitch or exploit, just tanks being underpowered in terms of armor, even insurgents have more armor than them

Presume you haven't been on in a while, been like that for a long time now. They nerfed the tank armour ages ago because people were complaining about them being too op. Fine up to a point but Rockstar went over the top with the nerfing and, as the above poster says, there are now vehicles you can store in your garage that are far stronger than a tank. Ridiculous but there you go.

 

The only 'counter-cheat' for this is to get good in a jet yourself and take them on that way, you won't be doing it in a tank anytime soon.

Boo Hoo my 1.5 million dollar ground vehicle gets dicked on by a 3 million dollar air vehicle.

 

 

 

 

The food chain is fine as it is

 

 

People on foot get dicked on by heavily armoured vehicles, said vehicles get dicked on by tanks. Tanks get dicked on by jets and jets get dicked on by 9 million dollar floating houses should they go there.

 

 

Tanks can still dominate your average lobby for a while, they don't need and should never absorb jet missiles. Considering most Jet griefers would kill themselves if they tried to make a pass over your tank providing you are in the City.

People as always were bitching and moaning about being owned by tank users 'most of them from this forum' started crying their eyes out.

 

So R* removed all of its armour and even the Insurgent can take more explosive rounds now.

 

Now everybody around here is crying their eyes out because they can't do anything about jets owning them. And R* doesn't do anything about that.

OP there's an upgrade for PS3 that turns it into a PS4, and it costs nothing so it's cheaper than buying a new console, but better because it's smaller and takes up less space and also less power because 3 is less than 4 (obviously).

The Insurgent is massively stronger, only that you need to take care about the front screen. The Tank is an old GTA thing. It could be even garaged in GTA: San Andreas. Now it's useless.

I was replying to the comment where somebody said something about a flying fortress so naturally I assumed it was a hack like the Jet being able to destroy my overpriced Tank with one shot.

 

I didn't actually think it was a flying house I thought maybe it was a either a hack or some B52 type flying fortress.

 

Still none of this has actually answered my question. I legit just want to kill people when they spawn, using my Tank, and not have to worry about some cheater in an airplane.

 

It's cool.

It's dicks like you spawn killing other players that are the reason tank armor was nerfed.

 

So yea thanks a lot spawn killers. Now we have no ground vehicles that can stand up to a jet.

OP, GIT GUD, snipe pilots outta da cockpit or take em down with your tank, its not that difficult.I have seen a lot of tanks taking down jets, plus i have done it myself.

in normal circumstances you will never get a chance to take down a jet with a tank unless the pilot is severely handicapped

It depends on what the OP means by "one shot".

 

If it's a rocket then no, it shouldn't be able to kill a fresh tank. If it's actually "one burst of the cannon" then yes, the tank MELTS regardless of its health.

 

Either way, kudos to the jet guy for wiping the floor on spawn-killing scums that try to ruin other people 's fun for no reason.
