How do you grind?

My character is new (Rank 25) so while I run quick missions (Chasers, Rockford Roll, All In The Game), I usually listen to some music, or watch TV shows, or stand up comedy acts while I mindlessly drone mission after mission, taking a break on the hour to carjack and sell a high end car off the street. Doing this until I can go VIP at 1M and try the Invite Only trick there.

For those of you that refuse to buy overpriced Shark Cards like me, what methods do yo use to make ends and keep yourself entertained?

Missions at first and when I feel bored I try some races created by players, those with huge jumps and so on. If you don't have fun it's useless to keep on doing it, you just ruin your experience

I don't think so, some people like to grind. And like the whole point is to make money.

I also play on PC so its hard to find decent people to play with.

It's just a temporary fun mostly, otherwise they have a really weird conception of fun. How is it enjoyable to repeat the same type of activities over and over and over? GTA is full of things to do, people just have to find out. Even the free roam events can give you a decent amount of money if you're looking for something a bit more hipster

For me personally, I'm not really having fun unless I have the best stuff. I don't mind grinding for it because like I said I play solo. Pickup Heists aren't an option (couldn't even get Benny/Lamar's first mission done because people kept getting killed), so grinding is the only option for me really. I race too, but those are mostly silly stuff like wallrides and ridiculous jumps and what not. I might try some of the free roam stuff when I'm higher level. Right now I'd get destroyed being only 25-26.

Heists.

One successful heist can be more profitable than the same amount of time on other things and I've met pretty good people on heists.

What about afterwards? After buying the good stuff and being high level?

You're still at low levels (no offence), it's normal to "grind" a bit, I even did that too, but if you keep on doing it after level 50...well...you have some serious problems, you see?

Another little tip is to sell cars while in free roam. Look for the most expensive ones on Google and if you bump into it, just go to the nearest LSC. Considering it gives you around 9 000$ it's not bad since you're doing nothing

You run pickup heists? That's lucky for you man. Like I said, I tried to do Lamar's Lowrider mission with randoms and they kept getting killed.

Yeah I'm selling Felons and Ballers at the top of the hour.

Do daily objectives if they're not too inconvenient then I'll do some missions and then a sightseer VIP mission and repeat until I'm bored. Listening to music does help a lot for me so I usually have a playlist with some fast paced songs to keep me awake.

That's what I do if I do grind but most of the time I mess around with friends or play last team standing custom jobs which are fun. You shouldn't really grind all the time though so you should switch it up and try other game modes, may not be as lucrative but it's a change.

Good strategy. It may seem like nothing but if you do that every once in a while between missions you can get a nice amount of cash

- register for vip then sightseer job

- 5x potshot playlist

- sightseer job

- join contact mission

- continue choosing missions from job lobby

Criminal Mastermind really is the biggest payoff and most rewarding time sink in the game. 10 million on top of bonuses for about 8 hours worth of work isn't that bad at all.

Aside from that, I find that placing well in competitive game modes with a fairly high number of people is an extremely quick way to make a few hundred thousand dollars in a few hours. Especially when you add the extra 4K bonus for betting (and winning) 10 grand on something you know is a shoe-in.

Good luck on finding what suits you best!

Don't get me wrong guys, grinding like this is only kind of what I feel I need to do when a huge amount of content I want is out of reach.

Right now I need a custom apartment - 1.1m, an armored V12 - 400k and guns and stuff, probably like another 100-200k. Once I have all that stuff I'll probably just relax and "enjoy the game" more.

Level 25, right? Do as I suggested and play at least the very first heist. It gives you quite a bit of money to start with

If you're on PS4 I can help you with the first heist right now.

EDIT: Scratch that, see you're on PC. Sorry dude. :(

But I'm sure you'll find someone in the players section of the forum.

Its fine. That's why I don't do co-op stuff. By the time I find a competent group I could have just grinded the money myself lol.

But yeah, the point of the thread was, IF you grind, what do you do while you do it. I should have been more specific.

I grind on the hottest chicks.

Savage. Back OT, my way of grinding is Los Sanots Connection, RR, Landing Strip, Titan of a Job and many more high level missions. They are even easier with the Savage Heli or Hydra, all though I mostly use the Savage because of its missles.

As long as I remember to turn off my mic it works. Once in a while I forget it and start singing in every language but English (apart from some exceptions)
