Best new armored vehicle

To me, they seem all the same, stat wise.

All capable of taking 1 explosive directly, & possess good bullet resistant windows.

Just a variety of armored cars to select from that act as the "middle man" capability wise between the Kuruma & Insurgent.

Now window sizes are different, so that's a pretty self determining factor.

To be honest, they all seem pretty similar. They can maybe take 1-2 dozen bullets and then are shredded. I wouldn't spend the money for that reason, frankly. The Kuruma is miles ahead.

Well, I went after this guy's armored sedan and the windows would not freaking break.

Really? Do you think you hit the same part of the window with more than 5-6 bullets?

I have to disagree with you mate - yes the Kuruma can take more bullets to the windows, but it is not capable of even taking one explosion. Plus I like the look of the new armored cars much better.

To be honest, I don't think I've had any of the new vehicles be directly hit with explosives, so I'm not able to speak to that. However bullets are far more often a threat so you have to end up comparing the practicality of the two.

V12 definitively.

However, I feel better in a Baller.

First off, the Kuruma has armored plates with small castle archer style openings, not actual windows.

That's why it's so hard to hit someone inside such a car.

The new Armored Vehicles have glass windows that are strengthened to withstand more gunfire that normal car windows.

So you can't compare the Kuruma to the Armored Vehicles, because the actual design is different, one uses plates, while the other retains it's glass.

The Turreted Limo has the same windows & armor as the new Armored Vehicles.

I've tested it's resistance, it can survive even 1-2 rounds from the Savage's explosive mini-gun.

I have owned the Kuruma for quite a while and I must say that it is amazing against bullets - but it has no chance against an explosive, and I have found myself in situations where someone was waiting for me round a corner with a RPG. I have purchased the armored schafter v12 lwb and it is alright against bullets- not great if someone is shooting at you constantly. And another thing is - the Kuruma is very often owned by screaming kids.

I'm not asking about a Kuruma comparison since it's totally a different type of armored car. So Baller is best?

- All the new armored vehicles have the same explosive resistance (1 direct hit).

- All the new armored vehicles' windows have the same upgraded bullet resistance.

As I said in my first post, each of the cars have different size windshields & windows though, that's the only factor to consider.

& that, you can easily determine yourself just by looking at them, to how much window (exposure) you want.

FTFY. Miles behind any armoured V12's in a session, anyway.

Earlier on I was ferrying around my Bodyguards when we stopped. One jumped out and quit being a bodyguard, and instantly turned an autoshotgun against me. He got three or four point-blank shots before I got away from him. No damage to my health bar. Windows scuffed, nothing more.

For comparison, some time later I stepped out of my apartment and called my car. As I was waiting for it, some troll in a badly-painted Kuruma rolled around the corner and using the Assault Rifle (AK) I swiftly dispatched him via the front window from one or two car lengths distance.

V12 Master Race.

It's easy to take people out of kurumas with an advanced rifle. So in a lot of ways I'm guessing these newer vehicles are better bc the windows are reinforced and block enough bullets to give you warning that you need to get out of a situation.

Just throwing this out there since no one has said it yet. When you shoot from the new armored vehicles you break the supposedly bullet resistant class on what ever side you are shooting from. lol

The new armored cars are, in my opinion, a total waste. I would rather use an insurgent that is reasonable hard to target the people inside and can take a bunch of RPG's as opposed to any of the new armored cars that are slightly more armored than a paper bag.

Turret limo FTW, that minigun is a laser of death, blows anything the f*ck up and is way better than the insurgent with turret, despite less armor.

Yeah, I tested that yesterday. I do like the addition of that though, so people won't fully abuse it.

I have these:

Baller LWD

Shafter LWD

Crogni SWD

I like the Baller best, it looks badass with off road wheels.

A bit disappointed with the LWD shafter, it's kinda slow. (compared to normal SWD shafter that is)

The crogni, is real nice too.

Can't say if one is better than the other though.

It depends on taste I suppose.

And the gun limo is totally brutal, that gun is insaine.

Its LWB by the way

Out of the new ones, id say the Baller and schafter V12 are the best. But id still take an armoured kuruma over them :)

Kuruma, Executive armored vehicles, Insurgent:

They are different tools for different purposes

They are like a tinsnips, leatherman tool, and a hammer.

Kuruma:

  • Almost entirely bullet-proof, including the glass
  • Can't survive even one explosive
  • Can't throw explosives from it

The varied Executive armored vehicles:

  • Glass will resist bullets to a limit
  • Can survive at least one explosive
  • Can throw explosives from it

Insurgent:

  • Glass (is small, but) will not resist bullets
  • Can survive several explosives
  • Can throw explosives from it

Personal style and taste aside, they are more or less useful in different situations, so owning all three isn't a "dumb move".

For the new ones, I got the short-wheelbase V12. Fantastic! It just... keeps... accelerating. Not as fast as a Super, but for a "sedan" it's very Sports-like.

I think its stupid that the insurgent doesn't have bullet proof glass - its a heavily armored vehicle so you would expect it to have bullet proof glass

I have had a karuma and hvy insurgent since they came out, just bought the armoured cog 55, armoured cog lwb, armoured v12 schafter and non armoured v12 schafter.

Observations so far are:

Armoured schafter is incredible. Very fast, great handling, can drive up crazy steep gradient hills and for me has survived not one but two direct RPG hits. The bulletproof glass so far has done me well and not been an issue - I have been killed far more often in the insurgent by bullets than I have in the new armoured cars.

I love the armoured cog 55, and in terms of protection I have found it to be just as good as the schafter, and it's a looker for sure - but it's as slow as balls unfortunately by comparison to the schafter so it doesn't get taken out of the garage much.

I already sold the lwb cog - again very pretty but wow slow and dreadful handling too.

The only reason I'm keeping the karuma at all is for the Pac Stan finale.

It does have bullet proof glass when I tested, it resisted 15 bullets of any type with the 16th penetrating this was last night as well fairly recent change
