Still on last gen here, how detailed are these yachts exactly? Just watched someone doing a tour of the most expensive yacht on youtube, didn't seem as detailed as the one used in the heist setup mission, do they even have engine decks?

There are no yachts on last gen...Yes I realise that mate, obviously I'm considering upgrading aren't I. Just wondering if this latest dlc is worth it, sounds like maybe it isn't.

The Random freemode events, new missions and the general 'look' of the game make it an entirely different experience than on PS3.

I dunno, looks exactly the same to me, can only tell which version I'm watching on youtube by looking at the mini-map at the bottom left.

 

And the next gen only dlc seems a little underwhelming too, the yachts sounded interesting but you can't even drive them, they're just apartments in the sea. What I really want is stuff that would have been impossible on last gen...casino, nightclubs, events in the stadium...stuff like that. Would appear Rockstar have little interest in those kind of things for this gta, pity.

It died out for me in approximately 12 hours. I'd far rather have my $10m back now, though I'd have no other use for it.

it can be bought via cashcards so u can tell yourself that u are supporting the company that developes your favourite game.

it offers you free weapon pick ups inside, basically u can save ammo costs, when you do it right, the yacht accumulates itself after a few years.

it is a 25000$/jump teleporter.

 

U dont pay 8 million for a yacht. u pay for a yacht interaction menu and a garantueed free access to "a yacht" on the water. with your name on it, woohoo!!!

There is no real practical reason to buy a Yacht, The 6,7,8 mil plus upgrades you spend on it will never be gained back with free weapons, it offers nothing in terms of making money

 

It is simply a way to show you had the money

 

I have purchased mine and watched my bank account drop to below 1 mil for the first time in ages......Do i regret it, NO, I purchased it with fake money, i earned playing a game i like, is it fun to use....well no.....only the Captain can drive it, I can go to the bar and have my drink poured for me tho, and sit in the hottub ....its biggest convenience is i have direct access to a Helicopter and watercraft for those time i want to use them and not have to drive to a Pegasus drop off point, and its nice to be able to move it around from one place to the other

 

If you are looking for a practical reason to buy one,,,,,Dont, ,, its not there ...go buy a Armored Karuma, it is the most Practical thing in the game for making money

The most fun with the yacht is to be had first few days and that's it. I see few people joining yacht invites anymore . They are too wary with the owner messing with the yacht defense system for easy kills.

No, you can't. The most that you could do with the yacht is either downgrade to the other ones or upgrade to the other two, depending on which yacht you originally bought and currently have.

+ up to 2 helipads ($8M yacht) <-- FINALLY! a convenient parking space for my $$$$ Hydra in free roam. And my completely useless Liberator which I've never used since the Independence Day DLC. Will never understand why R* didn't let you park this in the damned garage. Also can park +2 of your excess cars over the 50 car limit on these using the Cargo Bob airlift....

 

+ 1 dinghy (kinda sucks if you already bought this though)

 

+ Jacuzzi hangout where you can relax sitting or standing up and chose to wear clothes or not

 

+ perfect floating base for amazing photo ops. Take incredible shots of the LS city line from the ocean at night an upload it to RGSC for competitions, personal album etc.

 

+ floating warship with gun turrents mounted on top = no more air griefers

 

+ personal VIP club entertainment (hire a stripper from the club)

 

+ personalized VIP clothing themes

 

+ new bodyguard jobs

 

possibly able to dock the sub there as well? Haven't tried this so don't know if it would work

 

all of which you can dock at your new boat. Also a new mobile hide out when you get into a shoot out with NPCs or other griefers/players in free roam.

But snap the cars on your helipad is always great.
