VicariousXIV
Anyone else notice the vast difference between how people tend to play GTA and other games? I mean I may be the weird one, but in games like Elder Scrolls and even Fallout I'm the kind of player who plays as an Assassin. Like high level of sneaking/stealth so I can move around without being noticed and I always pick people from the shadows and do my absolute best to never actually be seen and when I can eliminate all my targets without them even knowing I was there it means I truly succeeded lol It's just far more fun for me to slow down a game like that and make another little mini game within the game for myself. So in GTA I can't really do that, but I still takes things a bit slowly. Like we pull up to a parking lot with a dozen or so enemies we need to take out with mission specific weapons, so we can't just throw explosives and wipe them all out. So what I like to do is find a good vantage point with some cover and try and see where all the enemies are before I open fire, we do have a limited amount of lives in these missions afterall! But like 9 times out of 10 if I don't rush to the spot where all the enemies are my teammates will all role up in some f*cking sh*tter mini van they found where we started and they all just open up guns blazing while they're still driving up, often times even driving their unarmored vehicle straight into the clump of enemies and all die in a matter of seconds. Like I get it's GTA and all most people want to do is blow sh*t up and shot lots of people, but why is common sense so scarce? kyle3309 and Bradipo Atomico
Kreedzm
...often times even driving their unarmored vehicle straight into the clump of enemies and all die in a matter of seconds. This is just noobish behaviour. People dont know what they do. What i've learned from gta is take your time! Dont rush the place or when driving dont hit the pedal like an idiot. And dont take shortcuts that you dont know. _47_
Yukinoshita
Is that so? From what I've noticed, since the release of heists, players tend to be slightly more helpful. Surely there are still dicks wandering and killing everyone with *random shooting vehicles*, but much less than before. Maybe it's just an impression of mine hahaha. A little funny experience I had 2 days ago with some high level guys: basically these guys (likely modded for some reasons I won't tell) just suicided when they had little health left. rlk232
The average GTAO player has the following checklist: 1)Run into bullets 2)Don't use snacks 3)Think armor will allow you to take 10 more bullets 4)Fail missions 75% of the time or rush to do them in under 2 minutes and get paid peanuts. No, they get paid in GTA$. I don't think there are peanuts in the game, at least not in an inventory storable capacity anyway. You're talkin funny talk. rlk232
dudclub55
That's precisely my play style. Playing deathmatches like a tactical shooter is very frustrating however, the game obviously caters to run and gun rofl on the floor boom headshot dudes. Bradipo Atomico
That's my favorite approach too, but in GTA Online is simply not one one of the bests. The NPCs spot you almost instantly and in PvP you end up spending more money to play stealthly than to pray 'n spray. The thing i found the closest to stealth play while being efficient too is to use your sniper. Get a chopper, approach the people you wanna kill, land on a roof and from there start picking them off. Even if they can see you on the radar it'll often take a while for them to spot you, and even then you can still break havoc on them from your roof if you're good with a sniper and clever enough to be prepared for when they try to come over your position :T

rlk232
I constantly see 250-400s who are insanely dumb. Stupidity even extends into the 800+ realm, somehow. I have no idea how anyone can play that much and not know the optimal route for just about every mission. It floors me.

Recently, I was playing Crystal Clear with a bunch of trigger happy idiots. The whole team ran straight into the middle of the enemies while I took my time picking them off from a distance. The whole team died, leaving me to kill off half the enemies and deliver the drugs to Trevor. (With half a health bar and no body armour.) I slowed things down to control the outcome. Experience won.
