I never fight back,all I do is heists,missions,modding cars.

Never played TDM ever.

 

Getting very close to rank 100, never have actually engaged in PvP (there was one time though where a King of The Castle event was active. No-one actually cared so I went there and then people suddenly decided to start swarming in. I blew up a guy with a sticky bomb but then he unfairly used a rocket launcher against me so I immediately cut the power to PC on the wasted screen so the game couldn't get a chance to save my death (and kill)), and I don't think I will on that character. If I'm in public lobby or with friends (just to make sure) I am in passive mode all the time.

 

I do PvP on Xbox 360, though, and I don't plan on transferring yet which is literally the only reason why I want the DLCs on last gen (yeah, maybe yacht would kill the performance but new cars and freemode events wouldn't for now. Adversary Modes definitely wouldn't. They just wanted an excuse to be lazy and stop updating last gen) because most of the content I would actually like to try want me to do the stupid PvP. The idea of killing players to unlock tints is sh*t, too. I want the orange tint on SMG and Carbine Rifle but there's no way to get it since I will be staying at 0.

 

Trying to keep my deaths at minimum. Currently I only died 62 times, all from NPCs.

Wow it's almost like there's a thread about k/d on here every week lol. Op as you already said this is not a hardcore fps so k/d doesn't matter in this game not only because it's not a hardcore fps but because of a multitude of other reasons which make k/d in this game completely flawed and useless.

Post above is exactly right too. It's not a hardcore shooter, so why does k/d matter? It's a fun diversion from missions and heists, but that's all.

KD means fk all to me. If it's a team based game/mode I put the team before inflating my own KD.

In pvp if it means me taking a nap from a camper who has everyone pinned so one of my team can take him out, so be it.

 

It means less in GTA because if you wanted you can pad your KD by going after low levels, afk'ers, camping LSC or even running your own teammate's over in missions.

Play the game, have fun, fk numbers.

Yeh, my KD was 0.41 and yet I'd gone 200+ consecutive missions without enemies killing me before. A friend that I often play with has a KD of 2.45, and he's a good player for sure, but he died far more often in missions than I did...

 

That's incredible man. If you can do that, you are a very skilled player. Being that consistent in missions means you have a good tactical approach and don't just rush into situations, getting killed instantly like most people. You are also probably skilled at driving, shooting, flying, all the foundational skills you need to be successful in GTA. You probably pull more than your own weight with any players you join. I wish there were more players like you. Hell, I wish there were more players who didn't just sit there doing nothing during missions, or worse yet drive around trying to blow up peoples cars or run them over. I'd be happy if people would just help out, I feel like I do almost all the work in every mission I join, and yet people still pull sh*t like that, even though without me they would be making no money and would likely be failing the missions.

The best thing OP and everyone else can do is just play the game and forget that pointless stat. For me it's more important to try to win and help my team/crew mates than avoid dying. Obsession to k/d ratio ruins all fun of the game when you can't play certain game modes, because you could lose badly.

Bro, npc's dont are a challenge in this game. Your friend die just because he go without taking cover. If he play this missions with calm, im sure he can finish without die too.

 

Once you've gone 10+ days without getting killed in a mission, and not using the damn kuruma, get back to me. BTW, 0.41 now up to 1.29. It's just too damn expensive to fool around in free mode for long.

Honestly, all it really is to me is a fun escape from missions and heists. It can really be a nice break, but holy hell is it expensive. I dumped off about $300k in a couple hours last night, but mine is up to about 1.63 now. Good times.

dunce cap, ridiculously high K/D, etc. don't even deny most people on last gen with high K/Ds today are cheaters. 9 times out of 10, when i see someone with a K/D above 2, it's someone using an account that they got secondhand off of some script kiddie. for that very reason, i'm no longer even surprised when i get accused of being a modder, or using a modded account.

 

am i saying a K/D of 11 isn't possible? not entirely, no. but even if it's not done via a modded account, then i still have my suspicions that an exploit of some kind was being abused. don't try to pretend a K/D that high isn't abnormal.

Reading this thread makes me feel better about having a 4.11 K/D ratio.

 

In all seriousness, I'm on last gen and don't plan on upgrading. I've done every mission and heist countless times. I have every car I want and every Pegasus vehicle. I have nothing to play for. I decided to play for my K/D ratio after having one of 2.34 and it's been going up since.

 

I've said it before, though. I wish R* would get rid of it. I don't jet grief or go to passive mode after being killed, like other players. All I do is drive around my insurgent and throw sticky bombs out the window.

sometimes if i'm feeling crazy i'll just put a stickybomb on the grille and plow right through the closest player nearby. bonus points if it's a group of people huddled together.

Your KDR is representative of nothing in GTA. Too many easy ways to bump it. I do PvP occasionally, but mostly I stick to LTS. I'm pretty good with an RPG in RvI, and mine is hovering around 2. As long as you're enjoying the time you spend playing, forget the stats.

Though I've enjoyed it lately, it's clearly a way to get people drain their bankroll. I mean, it's a Grand Theft Auto game, should you really have to pay insurance if you blow up a car? I said that to my wife and she said what's next, having to get an accountant to do your taxes on there, lol.

 

I've probably blown 600-700k in approx 10 hours of hell-raising/boosting my KD big time in the last 5 days.

The weird thing is how obsessed people get over it, likely really obsessed. Some players I know basically stop playing the game except for that and that sucks. As long as you use it as a break from the grind of missions/heists/etc, it's a nice can to kick around.
