Just 2 years ago, GTAO was only up for about a few months. At that time, the Adder, and Entity were the top cars for racing/trolling. The Tank was the ultimate Grief tool. Coveted, and Rooftop Rumble v1 were the main money makers along with Survivals. The LSC Exploit was the big thing before getting patched. We also only had one 10 car garage/apartment to store out lovely cars. Things were pretty simple back then. Of course, the chaos of the Billionaire Days changed all that before the Great Money Wipe took place in early January.

Now when you look at GTAO today, it's almost like a completely new game. We have 5 garages now, plus a Yacht. Multiple new cars that blow the Adder out of the water. Tons more military vehicles to kill with. Even the much sought after Heists that a majority people thought would never come. Re-watching the original trailer for GTAO, I guess Rockstar has lived up to their promise of a constant, evolving game environment.

From a performance perspective, nothing really blows the Adder "out of the water." It has been replaced as the super car of choice because of how old it is, but it is right up there with any other super car in the game in speed and handling.

Savable Outfits is one more thing i would add.

But after recent dumb idea of cleaning all outfits that includes Non Purchasable items (ex. VIP, Hunt The Beast, Xmas) they make stupid decision, i never know why.

DeadMoonNight

Really have to give R* credit for the work they've done to evolve GTAO into what its become today.

The one thing I miss is how lucrative the payouts for racing used to be in the early days. It was a fun way to make money.

It really is impressive how much has changed. Funnily, my friend and I were talking about this just last night. I was watching a video of GTAO from late 2013, and it really does look like a different game.

I hope R* continue to work with GTAO across subsequent SP titles. GOAT indeed.

Nothing is wrong with the Adder, its still up there in top speed, all they added was new styles of cars, the T20 and Osiris but speed is still comparable, neck to neck.

And I still play Rooftop Rumble and Survival. Whats up with people worshipping new stuff all the time? Yeah its fun to get new stuff but it doesn't negate the older stuff, esp if its not broke.

Hahaha I still remember when the Insurgent wasn't here. I kept blowing up people's car and became Bad Sport for months. Thanks Rockstar

I may complain about various aspects of certain updates, but in all honesty the breadth of content this game offers for the single price of $59.99 is staggering. Not to mention an enormous campaign?

And R* (even with their numerous shortcomings) seems to improve each game with every release. I can't even imagine what online will be like with the next title.

Hunt The Beast outfits make sense, but the Bodyguard/VIP outfits should have been sold at the clothing store, not available for 4 hours at a time every 16 hours.

Those f*cking memories make me play this even more often.

I'm about to cry. GTA is simply a masterpiece.

The struggle of selling baller and robbing liquor store. How stupid I was for wasting my time like that, while also holding the hope for the no-action-talk-only story dlc.

I remember how hard I thought this game was starting out. Actually I HATED GTA for a long time because I just couldnt get any momentum in online. And to be fair, with no friends and no idea what to really do, this game has a steep learning curve online. But I met a few people, and they showed me the ways of roof top rumble. I had a tank in no time. >=)

Agree.

They should have let the VIP/BG clothing be purchasable, and if you want to coordinate than fine, just like the "Team" clothing

Things have certainly changed around here... I remember when this was all farmland as far as the eye could see. Old man Peabody owned all of this.

He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees.

$120.

I bought the game twice but it's been a bargain for as many laughs and friends it has gotten me.

I look forward to starting my VIP adventures this weekend. I have yet to do a single VIP thing.

There's a lot of content in GTA Online now. Loads. I can say all I want about how shark cards are anti-consumer and they're horrible - and I still do think that - but even I'm not cynical to deny that they are effective. Semi-regular updates and sh*tloads of content are available to everyone* for free*. And that's impressive, to say the least. That's not to say that everything about GTA today is an improvement, and I would hate to be a new player right now with the information overload, but it's still cool to see how far this game has come.

How is it going to be realistic roleplay if anyone and everyones uncle can buy the bodyguard and VIP outfits. Rockstar was finaly smart this time, making it a limited thing

They are delivering on the content side I just wish they would address the connection and general running of it which can be pretty stressful and annoying at times

I just wish they gave us new missions with each update, and making cheaper in-game items, instead of making it seem more of a cash-card oriented update.

Looking at you, IGG and Executives.

The early days...when I would take out my disc case map out and mark the stores and plan my robbing sprees so I could buy an AK. lmao.

Or how about making ends meet by waiting for the Baller sale cool off time hahahahaha

I'll never forget when I bought my Richards Majestic, somehow buying a stilt apt or a yacht still hasn't replaced that feeling.

Also when they released the beach bum update...I thought it was so cool.

As much as I adore GTAO now, I do feel all nostalgic when I see the original trailer. Discovering Los Santos in V & online back in 2013 are some of my most cherished GTA memories. Great times...
