My Yacht needs a bigger anchor

I purchased my Yacht, then moved it the Mount Gordo location,

But when i sign in or switch sessions i find my Yacht location changes, i have had it spawn in all of the available locations,

 

I first thought maybe rockstar only gave room for one maybe two yachts at each location and the game was spawning me in an available area .....but i used my helicopter to fly the map and found no other yachts (small lobby with less than 10 players)

 

So i started playing around a little ...invite only sessions, solo sessions ect.......and about 3 out of 5 times my yacht would get moved

 

I am starting to think the Anchor is a little bit to small

 

does any else have the problem of a Yacht just drifting around??

I spawns closest to you where possible is what I heard, you can't let it stay at the same place all the time.

I am starting to think the Anchor is a little bit to small

thats because it is too small, it won't hit bottom hell it just barely penetrates the water

That's how it is and if it releases too fast it can make a balls of things.

 

Also, that's probably a cargo ship in the video, which are absolutely huge, and the extra length/ weight is just to account for that fact. There's also generally at least two anchors on a ship, but then again that depends on size.

 

I would rather pay $250,000 in-game and have the yacht permanently moored at my selected location.

This is absolutely not true. It seems to be completely random. Mine moves almost every time I go into a new session. Often it moves to the complete other side of the map - I've hopped from Del Perro to Paleto Bay after a job. You can't tell me every spot between those two was occupied. And sometimes I've been moved, then flown to where I was before and there was no yacht anywhere to be seen.

 

If the location is supposed to be saved, it just doesn't work.

yes I am, I have moved my Yacht 3 times out to Palmento Bay only to respawn and find i am back down close to the LSC .........The only problem is that it sucks to pay 25 grand to move it and it not stay even close to where you want it......

The yacht definitely doesn't stay in one location. I moved mine to Vespucci Beach but its moved in new sessions to other locations without spots taken up by other yachts(far as I could tell).

Size it self isn't that important, however the right proportions is. Anchor size is fine. R* just got lame and wants us to waste 25k every time.

I bought mine and then moved it to MT Gordo

 

set my spawn location for "Yacht" and changed sessions 5 times, every time it spawned at Mt Gordo ( although in slightly different spots)

 

Then I flew down to the LSC in Harmony and changed sessions and it spawned off Humane Labs

 

I switched again and changed my location to Alts St and it spawned off the beach

 

So it definitely moves around, all these were in public lobbies with no other yachts

 

I bought the house in grapeseed and set it as my spawn location and the Yacht was back at MT gordo every time

It's intentional. The anchor has a silent W and is simply trolling you.
