What they should do about strangers on yachts

I don't like this. Passive mode on your yacht if you don't want trouble. And they can't go inside anyway, which is where all the cool stuff is.

I'm all but positive Rockstar will fix this later, but it makes sense that they did it this way. Let people get on en masse, which will make them more likely to waste the money on shark cards; it is the spending season (nay holiday). This was absolutely no accident.

Thats like me allowing the public to do whatever they want in my front yard because at least they can't get into my house. Thats dumb. Your front yard is still your property and trespassing on it is punishable by the law. The yacht should work the same in that ALL of it, not just indoors, should be impossible to reach by those uninvited.

sheez, people are getting lazier all the time. why not play the game the way they intended? i thought that defending the yacht was the job of the "player" bodyguards and the VIP if needed. basicly what the OP wants imo, is to play the role of VIP and friends as body guards and get the perks with it, but only to sit around on their duffs doing nothing. for that then go to invite/friends only. otherwise what is the real purpose of having a VIP/body guard gameplay if all you have to do is sit around watching NPC's do all the work? if so then there should be no perks or anything gained by the VIP player and their body guards. they should be just as normal as those unwanted players and get nothing. infact the NPC's should get all the perks and what not.

They passive mode so the owner of the yacht can do nothing to stop them.

I plan ahead for non-passive intruders.

 

Turn off defenses.

 

Place proxie mines at the two stairs on the fantail.

 

Place proxies at the top of those stairs.

 

Go inside and get two more proxies from the first stateroom

 

Throw the fifth proxie in the hot tub.

 

Turn the defenses back on and get a good vantage point to watch flying bodies

 

The stickies do stay there when turning the defenses off and on and even when moving around the map.

 

Good fun and you get credit for the kill, but not effective on passive pussies.

I think you just hit on something there ... wanted level for trespassers ... you could sit back and watch them fight the cops for awhile

 

 

Problem with that is it'll just bring a ton of attention to the yacht and if the trespasser is committed to fighting the police on your yacht you'll have a bunch of unwanted action and attention on your yacht. That also causes problems with the anti-air system and passive mode. They'd have to really tweak how things work for that to be implemented.

Strangers can get on no matter what setting you have on. Usually in passive so you can't even attempt to get them to go away.

I'm usually away from my Yacht and access is set crew+friends so I don't care if some random wants to visit while I'm away. Today I was doing some VIP missions and this other VIP group (everyone sounded like children) got beaten up pretty well so after that they went to my Yacht in order to annoy me. I cleaned the deck couple of times with Hydra's cannon. After they got killed a few times most of them left my Yacht alone. This is good method to get rid off unwanted visitors, but beware of missiles and good snipers. Sometimes I like to plant prox mines on the deck, but it has been more money waste than kills.

why do u guys r moaning about strangers anyway...? kill them... or try to kill em.. if me and you are in the same session ill kill u not becuase u can afford a 10 mill yach.. it is just the way i like to play the game.. the way i like to take the stress away after work.. if u dont want strangers go to an invite session and u can jerk off in your hot tube i dont care.. but as long as ur in free roam ill try to kill u... and i say try to because there will be always other players who are better than me but... most the times i can only get a decent fight when more people are stucked together againts me.. thanks rockstars to allow people to hire bodyguards makes my gameplay not that boring as before..my kd keeps going up since the last update..
