Maybe for no lifers, some of us actually spend the most of our lives working and in between everything else only get about an hour or two to play in a whole week. So yeah, they kinda f*cking are.

Not everything is meant for everyone. I want a Ferrari as well, I can't have one because it is expensive.

 

You are talking to someone that goes to school full time and works full time. Married, 3 kids. Lvl 400. 100+ days playtime.

 

Yachts are not too expensive.

This makes me laugh, and there is a definite theme to GTA V DLC responses.

 

The Osiris was too expensive.

The T20 was too expensive

The low riders were too expensive

The Luxor was too expensive.

So was the Hydra

Also the Savage

 

And now the yachts.

 

I personally don't think that any of these things were too pricy, they are all toys that only the super rich or the military could have irl. The fact is that the pricing of stuff in the game favours people who play the game more over those who don't (specifically those who take part in activities that pay money, not just running about in free roam firing RPGs at everything that moves)

 

Honestly, how boring would it be if everybody got everything that that was available to buy? It's good to aspire to get something special.

 

And to the people who say they haven't got time to play enough to earn these things, well I feel bad for you but I don't see how the game economy should be designed around people who don't play very often and have no money.

 

As nearly everyone has pointed out, the yachts are a bargain - there is a big difference between getting good value and getting something for cheap!!

 

If the next major DLC is in 2 months or more, there is no good reason why everyone who plays regularly shouldn't have at least 10 or 15 million in the bank.

I love the idea of the Yacht, the only thing I don't really like is the lacking of a garage of some sorts. Even just a little 4 or 6 car garage would've been nice. I'd trade my 5th property slot for a yacht with a garage tbh. Otherwise like everyone has been saying, the 7-10mil you spend on a yacht with the vehicles is more than worth it once you factor in the value of the vehicles to the Price. I went all out and paid about 10mil for mine and while it was a little more than I really cared to pay it wasn't that much in retrospect because I've made about 2-3mil since the update dropped and I've only been able to play few hours a day.

6m to 8m for a yacht that's slow as hell and I saved up to 1million or so and yet I feel like you must use a 100$ bill for a fake boat, don't get me wrong I love how they did the yachts and you can customize and save choppers but for6-8 million , I feel like they should put the yacht for w cheap price like 3million or 4million cause it's ridiculous...

 

Nothing wrong with the price. You don't need to spend real life money to get one. Play the game, bide your time and money just happens.

The only thing in this game that is not over priced when compared to real world prices is Real-Estate and Now Maybe the Yachts

 

In Game prices the Items that are over priced is Mainly Clothing Items, Then Weapons, and some of the Vehicle Upgrades

 

Of the Three Yachts (not counting upgrades becasue they seem to cost pretty much the same for all three)

 

I would have to say the First Yacht is the Worst Value for 6 mil you get the Yacht and a couple of watercraft that would cost you about 60k maybe if you purchased the watercraft separately....... which would mean you are paying 5,940,000.00 for the yacht alone

I have read on the forums that this Yacht does not have a defense system, I cannot confirm this or deny this

 

The Second Yacht is a better value for 7 mil you get the Yacht, The Buckingham swift helicopter and several watercraft , the chopper and watercraft would cost you around 2 mil if you purchased them separately so your paying around 5 mil for the Yacht

 

The 3rd Yacht at 8 mil gives you the most value, you get the Yacht then you get a super something something carbon helicopter, a speedboat, a dingy 4 seaharks the value of these vehicles totals more than 5mil if you purchased them separately bringing your yacht cost down to just under 3mil

I have seen a few people saying about a garage on the yacht. How would that work?? Wouldn't you have to drive the car on to a car carrying boat and then drive that to shore? Quicker to order your PV from the captain and chopper over to it?

have a small barge like boat that beaches itself kinda on the same shore where the boat/helio waits for you when you call Capt. that you drive onto, do a cutscene like they do when you exit or enter a regular garage but it's the boat leaving the shore then pulling into an opening on the side of the Yacht. They have boats with features like this.

they're about 10mil less than i expected and come complete with a slew (around 5milGTA$) of air and sea vehicles that i thought would, in true R* style, be optional extras we'd have to pay for.

I had to laugh when i read people were asking about Garages and Yachts, the only way i see this could work is for there to be stand alone garages located close to the shoreline with a helipad or boat dock .....but then this presents a problem of two players parking yachts at the same location and trying to land a helicopter at the same helipad, Granted a this garage would be nice, and could use up one of the property slots....there could be an area big enough to accommodate multi helipads, but with several Yachts parked nearby and a other players knowing where....this area would quickly become a suicide landing zone LOL

I don't think Yachts are overpriced at all considering you get expensive Pegasus vehicles with it. I was expecting a lot higher prices and it was pleasant surprise that the best model with modifications cost only 9.2 Million to me. I don't get it why these days everything must be able to get in day one or people say it's overpriced. I worked hard for long time to earn enough money and it felt great to buy the Yacht after that hard work. I haven't bought all the new vehicles yet, because I want to be able to enjoy this great update for longer time.

No, they're not. You're just cheap and/or broke. Play some heists, grind money or buy a cash card. But please don't claim they're overpriced simply because you can't afford one.

Overpriced? Of course it's overpriced. It's supposed to be overpriced. That's the whole goddamn point of the yachts, to sell shark cards and for everyone who owns one to circlejerk about how the prices are totally acceptable. This pattern repeats every DLC.
