Yachts are over priced ...

When you buy a yacht you're mostly just buying the ability to have a heli spawned next to you when you join a session.

You can't even get the captain to move the yacht to one of the other anchor points unless you're standing next to him, which sucks as this should be possible over the phone (for when you find yourself in the middle of nowhere like Bear Grylls does every other day and want a quick lazy exit from the area). So don't feel so left out.

Expensive? Lmao. People expected prices to be at least $20 million. Upgrading the most expensive yacht costs maybe up to 10 million & its definitely worth it.

Considering that there are 2mil+ cars, 6-8mil for a giant luxury floating/movable interactive safe haven is is not bad at all. I do agree that they could've spaced the prices a little better though (i.e. 5/7/8 mil, instead of 6/7/8 mil) because that cheapest yacht without a chopper or hot tub isn't really worth it compared to others.

You can make an ass load of money in a short period of time by playing the game as intended. Not only is 8 million cheap, but as others have stated, it comes with multi-million dollar vehicles. Anyone complaing about the price of a yacht is just being silly, or doesn't realize how easy it is to make cash in this game. I mean come on...

$57,000 if you join a FLEECA heist and hosts keeps it 60 / 40 (did three of them last night in the span of 45 minutes)
$25,000 if you do the daily objectives (my character is sitting on the Ferris Wheel completing today's as I type)
$100,000 if you do the objectives for 7 days straight (with the removal of some of the old objectives these are even easier than ever)
$500,000 if you do the ojbectives for 28 days.

$50,000 for the weekly time trial bonus

$17,000 for Los Santos connection (usually more but I shot low here) which also has an additional 6k (or more) of money in crates at the hangar.

$10,000 - 14,000 for a sold vehicle off the street.

$22,000 for the VIP mission "sightseeing" which can be completed quickly and replayed (with a cool down timer of course)

I could keep going but you get the point. And none of those numbers factor in the x2 GTA$$ weekends, other heists, other contact missions, robbing stores or the occassional exploit or loop hole that everyone seems to find. Honestly though, maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but when I see complaints about in game currency and how expensive sh*t is I can't help but point this sh*t out. Just play the game, make your own opportunities and have fun. You don't need EVERYTHING immediately, that's not really the point. Buy the items you like and want instead of trying to buy EVERYTHING and you'll have the money for things like yachts or mansions or spaceships...

Everything in gtao is relatively overpriced...but it really isnt that hard to become a multimillionaire if you play regularly and manage your money wisely. In other words, don't waste your money on tons of overpriced but useless sh*t, and you can buy all the useful but overpriced sh*t you want. Including yachts.

I thought Rockstar gave us a pretty good deal on the yachts, especially the most expensive one. What I do not agree with is the high price of changing the name. I also do not agree with the high price of moving the yacht when the yacht itself moves each time you finish a heist/mission.

 

I am usually very critical of Rockstar, but for once I actually like this DLC, and being able to purchase Yachts.

In the yacht appreciation thread, they said that the 7mill yacht comes with a free swift deluxe which costs 5mill from Pegasus. So essentially you are buying a swift deluxe and then paying 2mill for a yacht and some other Pegasus vehicles.

The $10mil Yacht comes with a $3mil+ Heli a $1mil Toro 4 jet bikes and a dingy, to me that's a bargain

I can make $500k to $1mil a day without breaking a sweat,

I usually go for $500k in about 4-5 hours then spend the rest of the day on my Yacht,shooting low life scrubs that come aboard.

People really need to learn how to play this game.
