Get this , I race my friend with a luxor then a Titan then a orisis and even a t20 and lost with all ( and no I don't suck at racing ) have any of you lost against the Schafter V12? And yes all my cars are modified FYI

IMO, an appreciation thread would be the last place to ask for unbiased answers, pretty much anyone in there would usually just give a biased response for something they like.

Going off Broughy's testing there's 3 cars faster in a straight line, the Z-Type (sports classic), the Adder (supercar), and the Dominator Racecar (Muscle, but not available in Online unless custom added on PC)

• Z-Type: 126.0 mph (203.0 km/h)

• Adder: 125.0 mph (201 km/h)
• Dominator Racecar: 124.5 mph (200.5 km/h) (not available in Online)
• Schafter V12: 124.0 mph (199.5 km/h)
• Schafter V12 Armored: 123.5 mph (199.0 km/h)

 

How he gets to these numbers you'll have to watch his stuff I can't explain it, I'm bad with numbers and definitely not as thorough as he is, so here's the playlist of all top speed tests he's done so far:

His videos are really informative and I like them, but you're right. He bases his 'best' overall car opinion on the performance of these cars over a single track. That's why the Elegy RH8 is apparently the fastest in the Sports car category because it performs well on his circuit with its fast, sweeping turns. The car is good, but handles like a bathtub on twisty-turny circuits and I don't even own one.

You do realize that is basically what his videos are about, which cars are best for racing in the various classes, not which are the best for freeroam, and then when his fans asked for it, he started doing the top speed ones.

And of course it's a controlled environment, you can't get any useful stats out of freeroam as the situation on the road constantly changes with traffic, with other players, with cops, etc., a good comparison tries to make sure that all conditions are exactly the same, else it's not a good comparison.

And more often then not he tells people that the top 3 or 4 are close enough so it doesn't matter, and people should try those out to see which suits them best, that still saves the rest of us a boatload of money buying all cars and modding them to test ourselves just to find out they can't compete in a race no matter how good you are.

^ 8up is correct...he's not saying Broughy test aren't accurate he's saying its HIS driving style...test cars out for yourselves instead of always waiting on ONE person's opinion...if Broughy said the Baller was the fastest car in the game 80% or his followers would believe him outright without even testing it out for themselves.

Broughy's tests are the closest thing to trustworthy information if it's not that already, especially the top speed series which takes even the skill, mood-of-the-day and luck variables out of the picture. You can argue all you want about the Cutting Coroners GP lap time series, but the top speed tests are as accurate as one can get short of modding in a 50km straight line and an accurate speedometer into the game.

 

It should be noted, however, that Broughy is only testing top speed in his top speed series. That particular series isn't concerned with the car's acceleration or handling characteristics, so being the car with the highest top speed doesn't necessarily mean it is fastest in any other situation (that's what his Cutting Coroners GP lap time series is more accurate for).

Fast ain't subjective. Accurate track tests proving a car is faster than X is fact, hun. Period. Now you may or may not like the car depending on your tastes. That's an opinion. But it's not an opinion to say which car is faster. Are you serious?

The Mammatus is clearly the fastest plane in the game. Broughy doesn't give enough love to the plane to make it run laps around the Hydra.
