How good is the armor on the Armored V12 Schafter?

It's infinitely more useful than the Kuruma. It can withstand a rocket and you can throw stickies out of it. It's windows will withstand enough bullets to get you out of a tough situation, but they are bullet-resistant, not bullet-proof.

How people manage to get shot out of ANY vehicle, armored or not, boggles my mind. Like, you're in a car; why are you sitting still long enough to get shot up? Why are you charging at people who are firing?

Whoops. Yeah, that spelling mistake. D:

So it's more explosion-proof than the Kuruma but it's easier to get shot out of? Damn. That's a crappy tradeoff. Because a standard sedan is easy to get shot out of...

No. Not as effective as the Kuruma. The windows will do their job for several rounds before breaking. On the bright side it can with stand 1 explosive round and it's faster.

So it's good for drive-bys but not good for just rolling around in a big gunfight?

Its probably not as good a mission car as the Kuruma, as you can just roll up and uzi npcs with impunity in the Kuruma. The S V12 takes about half a clip of automatic weapons fire, and a few rounds of heavy weapons (sniper, revolver) before passengers start taking damage. There are trade-offs however, higher speed, sticky bombs out the window and the ability to shrug off an explosive hit. Different horses for different courses I guess.

The vehicle, like the other new armored vehicles, are the middle man between the Kuruma & Insurgent.

Insugent- Windows: Normal, Armor: Resistant To Several Explosions

Schafter- Windows: Bullet Resistant, Armor: Resistant To One Explosion

Kuruma- Windows: Castle Archer Windows, Armor: Will Give In To One Explosion.

Well according to Rockstar, it's stronger than the armour on a Hind attack helicopter (Savage), for some truly weird, frustrating reason.

Not a direct hit it can't. Anyway OP the V12 can withstand an rpg but the bulletproofing isn't enough that you can grief anyone in freeroam in it without being killed. It's good enough to survive driving past quickly and that's about it. But on the other hand it's faster and nicer to drive (much much nicer) than the Kuruma. It doesn't bash cars out of the way like a Kuruma though because it isn't heavy.. oddly. I think these new armoured car's are more like how the Kuruma should have been and not the game breaking freak it was.

The Schafter is much better than the Insurgent and Kuruma currently, because it's resistant to both bullets and explosives and is more discrete.

I'm the worst GTA Online player and i've been dominating freemode sessions with this thing.

People haven't realized that these new armored cars exist yet, you can just drive up to other players and run them over or blow them up, they will try to shoot you but they never get through the glass in time. It seems like they have no idea why they can't hit you.

Several things about the windows:

1. It takes any of ~15 pistol, ~15 rifle, 5 shotgun, 2 revolver or 5 heavy sniper rounds to take out any particular window's HP. (The next bullet in that window will go straight through)

2. The car itself is explosive-resistant, but the windows are not. Get hit by an explosive and kiss goodbye to your armored windows.

3. Any occupant shooting through windows will instantly destroy that window.

More things about the Schafter V12 Armored:

1. It runs circles around the Kuruma.

2. It handles much better than the Kuruma, and for the matter, the unarmored Schafter V12 (which is already a lot better than the Kuruma).

3. On a long straight road, even supers will have difficulty keeping up, let alone closing distance.

4. It looks so much better than the Kuruma, but this is just my opinion.
