Losing my touch?

Lately it feels like I have lost my touch in GTA i just cant seem to get those shots that i used to when fighting people has anyone else else experienced this?

DM junkie here and yes, it seems like my aim acceleration is off.

For example, I'm used to being able to hold down the aim button down and flick my R3 stick and it "jumped" from enemy to enemy.

Since the update, I can flick it but after the second flick, I have to let the aim button go and press it down again.

Now of course the first thing I do after an update is check my aiming bars and aim mode (full assist) and everything is the set the way I usually have it but it's not performing the way I am used to.

Not sure if it's that auto-aim assist (full) is defaulting to auto-aim (partial) while it says it's on full assist or if it's just not registering the full aim acceleration, aim sensitivity bars that I keep full.

 

I do recall after the Slasher mode was released that the aim was acting up and a few weeks later it went back to normal and now it's back to acting strangely.

 

Another thing I think I noticed was my 9F Cabrio.

It seems like the car has been shortened.

I mean, I jacked a regular 9F from an NPC and I was like, oh snap, they gave us a new smaller version of the 9F?

But that is not the case.

So I went to my 1st character and pulled out my 9F Cabrio and maybe it's me, but damn, id put money on that they shortened it, perhaps by accident but either way, I almost start d a thread last night asking fellow 9F owners if they are also seeing what I think I'm seeing.

Double check your aim settings. Assisted aim partial is what the first part of your post sounds like. It's the f*ckin devil.

haha, man, yeah that happens to me and it totally sucks. It really honestly kinda makes me evaluate how I'm spending my time. If I play it all the time and I'm not kicking ass, what's the point, you know? GTA existentialism, maaannn

Double check your aim settings. Assisted aim partial is what the first part of your post sounds like. It's the f*ckin devil.

Yeah, that one setting usually resets after any maintenance or DLC update.

I usually start the game in Story Mode and then head to Online from there, so I always check my Aim Assist.

And it is on FULL.

Because exactly what you said, it feels like i'm using PARTIAL but its saying i'm still in FULL.

 

Same thing when you get that Social Club agreement page....always make sure you go put that aim back to Full.

Oh wait, you know what?

I think I read somewhere that lately it seems that if that all our aims are set to the same of the Mission "HOST".....like if you accept a job from someone in FREE AIM.

Before you join their session, it tells you, "Session you want to join is using a different aim, are you sure", blah blah blah.

 

Maybe the game is somehow glitching with that?

I'm sure they will fix it.

Take a break, play something else or shelve it for a few days. I stopped playing GTA for roughly a month due to Fallout4. Had a rusty first session a few days ago but I'm back in the groove now.

Lol OP reminds me of the other night. I've been playing Just Cause 3 with all my game time, and I haven't played GTAO since the end of November. Well the other night I hopped online, I almost IMMEDIATELY encountered 2 crew members using Marksmen rifles and doing the wiggle dance in first person! I literally ran away like a little beaotch.

 

I was like, HELL NO!! I was fumbling my controller my character punched the air instead of switching weapons lmao. So rusty.

 

And i'm no beginner, I have 2 separate accounts, one level 205 the other is 221.

I hate it when I drive up and move in for the kill and I get out, draw my weapon wheel only to throw punches in the air. Then the other player guns me down. He must be thinking what an idiot. lol, Im sure its happened to every one. though

Some day I win and then some day I lose a lot. When I have normal day I can do pretty well like over 400 level player should be doing. Those bad days can be so horrible, other players must be thinking this over 400 level guy sucks a lot in this game So much small and just basic mistakes that experienced player never should be doing. Lag causes a lot problems, but when I have bad gaming day I can feel everything isn't ok. No big deal because this is just a game, but it causes frustration while gaming when you constantly lose. Usually when I feel this is bad day I just concentrate to easy tasks and leave fighting for better days.

The level of your skills haven't decreased, it's the growing level of cheaters that has increased causing it.

everybody has bad days.

 

there are days i own full lobbies, there are days i cant move a block without getting killed by some low levels

A) hit a doobz, works wonders

 

B) no matter what someone will always be better, maybe them days you came across a few that were simply better

 

C) maybe connection issues

 

D) possible gameplay tweaks with updates, if so I can tell you nothing other than to adjust

 

E) we all have good days and bad days

 

F) could be combination of any of those above

I never had this much advise when I posted this months ago, however I do sympathise. I too have lost the ability of precision driving. I've been thrashing the T20 around the neighbourhoods of Rockford hills in Director mode, and I still manage to scratch the bustard and even produce spin-outs occurring under hard shoot braking and sudden cornering.

 

This never occurred in Last Gen. I maybe also losing my touch too...

I think the new cheat is having a 0.00 K/D level and barely any stat bars, yet he was a rank 310. It could have been rockstar glitch obviously too.

 

I decided this was still worth checking out. Hoping it was a fresh newbie who made up his rank. Well, he kicked my ass three times across the map .
