I was going to grind for the yacht, then I got depressed when I realized how long that would take for me.

 

My suggestion is get a crew of reliable people and do the criminal mastermind challenge. Definitely worth the trouble.

Yeah the whole "reliable" part of reliable crew for CM is the hard part me n str33tjustus were trying to set somethin up but I couldn't get a hold of other members the day we planned for only str33t was on gta. So that day turned into fallout 4 marathon for me

You don't necessarily need that yacht.. I mean it's great and all if you have the extra $$$ lying around but, it getting it isn't really all that grand. I wish you much luck on your grind-A-Thon.

Gave up on the grind im just tryin to enjoy some of the new modes, cars, etc. Still happily run heists or w.e with you tho.

I'm making psj type money switching between my two characters. Both own yachts so I'm able to run piracy prevention twice in an hour and a handleful of sightseers. Making me about $150k an hour, minimum, with randoms as bodyguards. For me, this update now trumps the heist dlc. I'm able to stay very wealthy while pvp'ing in freeroam. The game is basically complete for me. Last thing i need is a sky update; blimps, more combat planes, etc.

I've done Criminal Mastermind twice now, you only get the payout the first time mind you, but second was helping someone. Its a whole lot easier than you might think, make sure everyone has mics and the heavy armor and helmet. First time around, we actually had three deaths, but they were all deaths we saw coming... for instance a jet got clipped on the hydra steal, and he knew he was going down, so he yelled at us to quit. The other two were complete freak occurrences involving NPC's doing something stupid, resulting in an on fire truck and someone getting stuck on a rock. In all instances we knew it was coming and could yell at the team to quit.

 

When it comes to that, on PS4.. you DO NOT need to unplug, or turn off the console. All you need to do is quit app. As soon as you see the death coming, exit to ps4 menu and quit the application. As long as you all get to it BEFORE it says you've failed, you're okay. You have a few seconds. So practice your exit routine, I had the button sequence down to a heartbeat haha.

 

Run through it twice now like I said. Barring stupid cosmic occurrences, it's nowhere near as hard as it sounds.

 

I don't get on as much as I used to these days but I'm always down to help out where I can when I am.

Didnt think this thread would end in a result. It was never easy to make 10mil in this game and unless you have 3 other organised friends its harder now than ever. If you did have those 3 friends youd have the money long ago during double rp.

Actually, making $$$ is easier as ever, and soloing it is the best way to do it...

 

Inv only > Register as VIP > Sightseer > Trash Talk > Sightseer > Trash Talk > Etc.

I'm on same grind (although the opposite way, I've bought the yacht and am now making the money back. Plus more as I plan on buying for other character!).

 

I've not done too bad since I started on my 10 million payback. 4 cleared already. I do my dailies every day (got my 500k bonus last week but I'm not counting that as I bought a car with it). Vip sightseeing and missions have been my main income. This works a treat. At this rate I'll have my money back pretty soon. I'm not in a rush mind you, I had one day of serious sightseer/mission/sightseer grinding and while it got me a fair amount I don't plan on doing that every day!

 

Regardless it will take less time than the last time I made 10 mill.

I have always spent most of my money...of the roundabout 7 millions I made within 2 years (fatherhood and a job don't let me grind) I spent like 5.5 millions or so. the only thing the executive update made me want is to get a boss-looking pyjama for myself, in real life.

 

the yacht, looks cool, but doesn't seem necessary to my style of play at all.

If you play GTA for the sandbox style free roam, grinding the same few dozen jobs for this long will make you tired of the game by the time you can afford everything you want.
