GTA SA Special Vehicle Guide [2015]

I'm trying to follow this video and obtain the AP Berkley's RC Van

 

but there are have some problems now.

1) When I come back from hospital, sometimes I can not start the second instant because of no red circle to start with no "Z" mark on map

2) After the wreck falls down, the game crashes when I shoot.

3) After the wreck falls down, I get on a car at first (following what is done in video) and then shoot the wreck.

Although the game doesn't crash this time, but the wreck is stuck on the ground which is unlike in the video.

The only to move it is shoot, but the wreck is too heavy to move.

You are only allowed to shoot or aim after exploding the RC Baron, thats why he flips it over, if you don`t the game crashes. So thats the only way, as only bullets can move the wreck, other ways don`t work. Also, if you are lucky, the RC Van why fall upright and you won`t need to push no wreck, you can just enter it and drive to a garage, but it is really important to explode the RC Baron like he does in the video.

Beefy Baron Rally - SF Hospital or Katie's House to the Loco Low Rider mod garage in under 3 minutes

 

My magic Om0 button (cleo script) seems to working to simulate holding a call. Let me redefine some of the parameters of the challenge.

 

I have seen no vehicles outside of the area around Zero's shop, even force spawn parked cars. Garaged vehicles work, and as mentioned, the doors don't work but CJ can walk right through and use the cars. When I spawn vehicles with a trainer they vanish if CJ doesn't enter them right away. If CJ enters a vehicle he cannot exit using the normal controls, but he can exit a bike by crashing. Vending machines and cranes don't work, not sure what else to try. Enexes don't seem to work either so the radar map is distorted in interor mode, with interior icons (I think) so not everything is visible.

 

The airliner flights to other cities were functioning so my plan was: Run from the SF airport to an NRG in Paradiso, crash into the wall near the ticket marker at the SF airport, trip skip to LS and wait and wait and wait for the AT-400 to land, run to a Voodoo seeded in the El Corona garage since I'd be locked in the next vehicle entered and it needed to be a lowrider since the Savanna won't be parked down the road from Loco, and... time ran out when I entered the vehicle. I'm sure I could save a few seconds by running faster, driving better, and improving efficiency in menus or whatever, but that's not likely to even get CJ out of El Corona. I'm not sure what else to try.

If I were to do a BIG Save again, I wouldn't even get all 3 of these at the same time, but instead, get all 4 at the same time. It's rather easy. I watched rtyuijhggff's Video of obtaining all 4 at the same time the other night. I watched it a while ago and thought it was SO hard, but I think I could do it and fail Cut Throat Business once while obtaining the AP/EC Newsvan, both AP/EC Vortexes, and the EC BF Injection at the same time...

 

Obtaining the Unique/BP/FP S.W.A.T. and AP Greenwood at the same time, though....Now THAT is difficult and I doubt I could do that...

 

Guide Updated! I added in the EC Dark Grey Vincent to the Guide at the end. I also fixed the Legend. I changed Mutant to Exclusive Modification (EM) or Unique Modification (UM). It makes more sense to call it that so every time I am talking about "Mutant" or "UT" Vehicles, I will be calling them EM Vehicles...

Getting to El Corona in 3 minutes with all those limitations is pretty impressive. I am not sure what else could be done, considering the inability to exit vehicles. I wonder what makes CJ trapped in it however, even though I don`t understand it (I think is somehow related to the RC Baron) I will try to find a way around it.

 

How long does a "dropped" jetpack take to despawn? I wonder if it can be dropped near the hospital and quickly die at Beefy Baron and get it back. Also, during a normal run, the OMF0 would need to be started and the call held before "dopping" the jetpack at the desired place. Oh wait, a death will probably make it despawn anyway.

Yes, i was planning on doing that too, but there are 3 problems:

 

Impounding it, for some reason there are never any cars in the impounds, even ehen doing the same as jam8tone.

 

Triple driving them, for some reason one of the 3 vehicles get discarded around the bridge at Santa Maria Beach...

 

And third, i don't care xD This save is HIGHLY inferior to my next save(s)

 

 

Also, i will propably make a save with the UC/UC2 Mesa, AP Tanker Trailer, UC2 Maverick and AP RC Raider, make a backup before MCB and make various different saves with different vehicles.

 

For example a Police Save with ALL Emergency vehicles made AP/UC/UC2/UT, a Plane save with all kinds of planes and choppers etc.

Probably doing something wrong cuz I was able to impound Vehicles in the Impounds on Mobile in my current Save with random AP Vehicles. On Mobile, like PC, the LS Impound is even easier compared to PS2. You just use Trucking or the Broadway to impound in Los Santos. Once they vanish, they automatically are put into the Impounds. You just run in, hugging the walls, and they are always there. If they aren't, you're entering it wrong. It's common sense. I remember when I got my AP Packer in the Impound and the AP Sultan with DP/EP/FP BF-400 inside Ganton and then saved my game, reloaded, and went to the Impound to find NOTHING there. Reason? I was entering it wrong. Once I figured out how to do that, the AP Packer was always there. If I took the camera off the Impound Zone for one second, it was gone. Like I said, if they aren't there, you're doing something wrong. It's a fact. Mobile is the same as PC when it comes to the Impounds and I can always use Impounds on both Mobile and PS2...

 

UM means Unique Model most of the time, so i recommend keeping it as UT not UM...

 

Tbh, the only "UM" terminology I heard was for the EP/FP Hotring Racer Version B or something in VC. I never heard any other Vehicle besides those Hotring Racers being called UM for Unique Model. Besides, there already is a term for these, simply called "Unique." The RC Raider, RC Baron, Andromada, and S.W.A.T. are Unique Vehicles in SA. UM for Unique Model, like I said, doesn't make sense to me and I only ever heard it being used to describe the different EP/FP Hotring Racer's in "Hotring" Side Mission in VC. Other than those, I never heard it used. Furthermore, the opponent EP/FP Hotring Racers can't be obtained anywhere, anyways, besides PC using Replay. I already tried on PS2. I sniped the driver out of the opponent's Hotring Racer and then got inside of it, but once you do that on PS2, it catches fire and if you stay inside, you obviously blow up with the Hotring Racer and are wasted. They all catch fire within 3 seconds of Tommy being inside them. Unobtainable, and UM doesn't make sense to me as Unique has been a term for years...

 

@toomuchinvigilation, thanks! I fixed the Guide. That happens a lot. I always have minor errors like that since it's difficult managing 6 Special Vehicle Guides with hundreds of posts combining them all and so many Vehicles. I looked at the EC Grey Club Post which was right above the EC Dark Grey Vincent Post and wrote Club and not Vincent, but it's fixed now...

 

It's EC says rtyuijhggff. fnxrak sometimes has errors...

Thanks. I experimented a little with trains and trip skip, but CJ can't exit the train. Didn't seem to save any time anyway.

 

The jetpack trick might help. CJ can exit the jetpack normally. A dropped jetpack that is quickly abandoned will remain active until CJ comes near and it bothers to figure out that it's timer has expired. But if you respawn right on top of it, outside of a safehouse for example, you can snag the jetpack before it expires. I just tested this at Katie's, I'll drop a jetpack at the SF hospital and seed a bike at Doherty, see how much time that saves.

 

Oh, wait. Time to get ready for work. Wanna give it a try?

 

Added: Bikes left at the hospital and Katie's aren't there after the death.

 

In case it wasn't clear from my description above, a jetpack can be saved at the SF hospital. The tricky part is finding the exact right location, but you can test this in your save before starting the missions. The jetpack will remain as long as CJ can avoid the area.

The Color doesn't appear in Transfender. This is one of the Vehicles that NEEDS to be obtained using the real way and not the Conversion Method...rtyuijhggff already made a list of what is truly EC at this point after the Conversion Trick was found...

I don't know when you can obtain the EC Vincent at the earliest time. Like fnxrak says, DON'T get it early or it will block all the Missions after Badlands. I would only get it after 100% since you need to lose all your money for it, anyways, and be in debt $100,000 or more...

 

He gets it in a 13.37% Starter Save when he says to NOT get it early, but if you get it AFTER you unlock The Country and even up to San Fierro, then I doubt it would be a problem since the problem only occurs if you obtain it BEFORE Badlands...

No glitches with the UC Vincent as long as it is collected after the Are You Going... mission is available.

 

Jetpack to Doherty get's in the Voodoo with only 15 seconds to spare. Jetpack to Paradiso is faster, but only saves about 5 more seconds. Adding another jetpack at the LS airport got me to the Voodoo with 30 seconds to work with, which got me close to the garage on time, but I was still on the bridge above.

Orion, I tried using the jetpack at the hospital and it worked, though I wasn`t able to skip the trip to Los Santos, even pressing the space bar, and it was saying, press space bar to skip trip, really strange. The lowrided in El Corona, which one are you using. Did you install nitros on it?

Off Topic, but I have a question @OrionSR:

 

What happened to Helena in my PS2 Save? Like, when I unlocked San Fierro and hit Pause today and went to Achievements, I noticed I had Helena at 55.00% Progress, yet, she was not my Girlfriend and I never took her out on a date. I got all 50 Oysters early, but not using the 49 Oysters Glitch and dropping all the Girlfriends to below 0%. Helena somehow went up to 55.00% automatically. However, when I actually went to Blueberry and got her as a Girlfriend, her progress dropped to 15.00% again and was not at 55.00% before I got her as a Girlfriend. Can you explain what happened? I know it has something to do with getting the Oysters early, but I thought that had something to do with Michelle and I thought it also had something to do with getting only 49, whereas I got all 50 right away. I was hoping that when I got her as my Girlfriend, she would of stayed at 55.00%, but it dropped to the usual 15.00% after I asked her to be CJ's Girlfriend...

 

No worries, though. I don't care about their Progress much. I also don't care about keeping two time dates enabled since for the AP Conversion to work on PS2, you can't have them enabled, anyways. I already dated Denise to 33.00% and disabled two time dates for this 2nd Save File. They are enabled in my Starter Save and 1st Save File with 61 Special Vehicles, though. I don't need them enabled for the 2nd Save File...

Yeah, although two-timing is not useful anymore you can still keep it for extra challenge. You need to complete the date when Quarry is almost failing, then you will fail it during "hot coffee" real quick and gain control of CJ and the camera and will be able to get as far as you want from the jealous GF fast enough without she reaching you, and you won`t "lose" the jealous GF, so it won`t disable two-timing.

No, it is actually easy:

 

In here I didn`t show getting the Ambulance at the end as it was taking too long, but once you get free from the "hot coffee" cutscene you are free to go as far as you want. You don`t even need to keep the camera on the jealous GF, you just can`t let her reach you.

What if im going to LS for a vehicle then ditch it in Glen Park pound for example, she will despawn by that time will it keep two timming then?

Once you get free of the "coffee" cutscene you are free to go anywhere, you don`t have to worry about "losing" her anymore, so yes you can go Glen Park, just don`t let her catch you as she will still try to catch you even after the "coffee" cutscene.

So there would be no such thing as an EC Phoenix, or EC Turismo, Bullet, Euros, etc, etc, etc with the EC and EM Conversion, right? Any Color applied to said Vehicles normally would be able to get those Colors while not on this Mission, right? Also, what EM features could Vehicles like these have that normally wouldn't be allowed to me modded onto them without this Mission?

 

I am still confused by what is TRULY special and good to make EC with this Mission as well as EM...Since I don't use the Mod Garages, I am not sure what can even go in there under normal circumstances and what can not go in there. For instance, it wasn't until July 2014 did I find out that Bikes weren't allowed to be modded in SA, period. That is why using MCB, to make Bikes EC and EM is absolutely amazing. I know you can't mod any Planes or Helicopters, either, so I know it would also be nice to make them EC and EM, too. But what other Vehicles besides the Bloodring Banger is good to make EC and EM? I wonder how a Hotring Racer would look in all Black. Is that even possible? How about a Dune? So what I am saying is besides for Motorcycles and Aircraft, what is good Vehicles to convert to EC and EM?

It seems you can install mods that the vehicle can handle + front/rear bumpers (mods available only at Loco Low and Wheels Arch Angels) in most cars, though it crashed when I tried on S.W.A.T. , so perhaps trucks or larger things don`t. Also, most sports car don`t have bass boost modding option, so its kind of unique too to have that in a sports car. Also, wheels will only be unique if you use wheels exclusive to the mod shop the current vehicle is not accepted, and wheels seem to be accepted by all vehicles, even planes and helicopters.

 

So what is unique is basically wheels, car stereo (in vehicles that don`t have this option), hidraulics in vehicles that are not accepted in any mod garage, colors in vehicles that also are not accepted in any garage and that can be colored, color 2 in vehicles that have it visible but can`t mod it under normal circunstances and nitros (on cars and vortex only, seems to crash in bikes and aircrafts). Front/rear bumpers and exhausts seem to work on most cars, but not for bikes and possibly not for some others vehicles (Bender showed that the Maverick accepts, so maybe other helicopters do too).

 

Also, if a car can normally mod roof, an unique mod it supports is a roof that is not available for it but it is for another car, then you can install it and it will not crash (the Greenwood only accepts a roof from Loco Low because at transfender it can have the roof modded). If you try to install a roof on a vehicle that normally doesn`t support roofs it will crash. Side skirts, lights, spoilers, hood and vents seem to follow the same logic as roof.

 

Also, from my experience, it seems mods that are exclusive only to Remington and Slamvan seem to not work on any other vehicle.

 

It would be nice to have a formal explanation from OrionSR, or people who really understand all of this, because all I know comes from trial and error, so its just experimenting, and may not be global, although the "logic" I used so far seems to be working.

Bullbars from Slamvan should work on Remington and vice versa. - Actually not, since Bullbars on Remington are in "Misc category" and Slamvan Bullbars are just in Main Menu as "Front Bullbar"
Alot of cars that have Roof options will accept big roofs like Hardtop Savanna etc.
I wanted to test more stuff but my game don't wanted me to do it, i redownloaded Steam version again yesterday night then today ill should test meybe more Helicopters if you interested in bumpers on them.

Cabbie will accept Tornado Bumpers very very nicely.

 

I can't really check Planes since they won't accept my modified file to support bumpers etc, so it has to be checked manually via MCB Mission. (All i know they all support colors, but most of them don't change it.)

Sorry, I have little experience with car mods of any sort. We experimented with mutant bikes and other custom rims but avoided most other sorts of car mods in the chain game saves. I suspect your question would be better answered in the modding forums. Vehicle modelers are much more likely to provide accurate answers. I suspect that modders probably asked and answered these same question years ago. Finding those answers might be tough without a guide.

 

But then again, old data isn't always accurate. And these new tricks make it easier to perform tests more quickly than I ever could with save editing or cleo scripts. And a lot of people are interested in testing right now. If someone was to organize the investigation I'm sure you could produce much better documentation than has ever been available. I'm considering strategies to make a simple cleo script that does the same thing without the hassle of a mission and also able to control the interior and exterior views. It looks like each mod shop uses a different heaven, that figures.

55% I can't explain. I would expect Helena's stats to remain 0 as long as she is inactive. But the global variable that controls her progress will be adjusted from 0 to 45 when the 50th oyster is collected if Helena is never CJ's girlfriend. However, whenever a girlfriend is met her progress is set to 15% and the stats are updated to match.

Strange. I'm using a gamepad control setup similar to PS2 controls. And I suppose I've got a trainer I could so without for a run or two. Tomorrow I want to see if I can't roll a lowrider with hydraulic over the rail of the bridge.
