GTA SA Special Vehicle Guide [2015]

You have to drive on Quad, when police cars ram to you all the time, its not easy trust me, quad is nightmare, other vehicles are very easy to get.

Police Maverick? SA News Maverick? you can store them in Santa Maria Beach Garage don't need to impound them at all...

Im using V1 US now so weird as i play on same version now and i can't spawn these, im hunting for BF-400, FCR-900 and of course NRG-500 all NE

Except for trash i spawned so far:

Euros x2

Hotknife x2

Turismo

Bullet

NE Slamvan

Phoenix

and Freeway and Wayfarer spawned ONCE, never again...

Run from SF Hospital to Paridiso garage and enter vehicle, 0:32

NRG from Paradiso to SF Shamal 1:38

SF Shamal to Savanna entering Loco 3:13

So close. I suppose I should set things up within the mission for further refinement. Maybe a faster Paradiso vehicle or reduced traffic will help a little.

If you say so, but I know myself and I know that I would have the ability to get a Quad in a Starter Save if I felt it necessary. Also, I don't think you exactly get it. Why would I or anyone else who assembles a LARGE collection put Helicopters in Santa Maria Beach? With all the Special Vehicles in the game and more importantly, which come up in Los Santos in the beginning, there obviously wouldn't be enough room. Two Helicopters in SMB would be tight and not allowing for anything else to be stored in there, basically. Thus, NOT maximizing storage space. Perhaps it's not of interest to YOU to go for ALL Special Vehicles in the game and have them all on ONE Save File like I do. Doing a BIG Save like that wouldn't allow for Helicopters to be stored in SMB as that Garage is essential for 4 other Special Vehicles during the Los Santos Story Missions. SMB is the LAST place I would want a Police Maverick and a News Chopper. They go in the Impound. Ever see fnxrak's Save or anyone else for that matter who uses Impounds? How about jam8tone? All of these people have an EP/FP Police Maverick, EP/FP News Chopper, and EP/FP Raindance in the LS Impound, an EP/FP Hydra, EP/FP Rustler, and EP/FP Leviathan in the SF Impound, and an EP/FP Barracks, EP/FP Enforcer in the LV Impound with still room for one extra EP/FP Vehicle in the LV Impound. Getting all of these in a Starter Save saves time in the long run of having to RE-OBTAIN them every time you want to do SA over. I mean, if you think finding Vigilante Rare Vehicles is fun, then by all means continue to be in agony trying to find things. All I know is I don't need to do any of the sort anymore since it's already obtained and inside my Starter Save and anytime I want to do a new playthrough, I have all the Vehicles already, thus no need to waste time doing the Vigilante hunting over and over, hours and hours go by...

Like I said, EVERY Special Vehicle listed in my SA Guide here on the Forum has been obtained and in my 61 Special Vehicles Save. The only ones in the Guide that I didn't obtain from the Story are: EC Nebula, EC Nebula, EC Nebula, DP/EP/FP/MP Police, DP Leviathan, and Unique Andromada.

Today, I've obtained the 3 EC Nebulas. Like seriously? Other than the Police, I don't think there is a Special Vehicle that I can't get in SA. This is the same for all GTA's, too. I can get all Special Vehicles, any GTA, any time I want...Just like Starter Saves. I have them for all GTA's and some of them on TWO Platforms. If you think you can do this stuff, then lets see it. If not, quit the criticism if you can't show anything for it...

There is no traffic during Beefy Baron, except if you get close to the RC Baron, which you probably won`t. Also, do you have minimum fat and minimum muscle? That helps you run faster.

Alright, I've been able to use both Wheel Arch Angels and TransFender with no problem. This EC/EC2/Mutant Conversion is really easy if you know what to do. Now I've got AP EC/EC2 Black Boxville with nitro and off-road wheels ^_^.

I am a bit confused right when the cutscene plays as you drive into Transfender with the MCB Conversion. Someone said I HAVE to pick Colors first or something, but Fooking Rekt says NOT to do that, and pick another Option, instead. Which is it for PS2? I'll have to keep pausing the Video and doing each thing step by step once I get to MCB and start making EC and Mutant Vehicles...

I reckon not tomorrow, but the following day, I will be up to MCB and ready for this stuff. I need to get the NE BF-400 and NE FCR-900 first, though. I also really need to sit down and think about what EC and Mutant Vehicles I want to have and the best ones to have, etc. I already said I will get all the Bikes in SA and make them AP/EC Black or AP/EC Pink as well as Mutant and for the NRG-500, FCR-900, and BF-400, they also will be NE...

Here are vehicles i was speaking about yesterday, they are not paintable by normal ways (you have to use MCB Glitch to do what i did)

Its just a proof/showcase how they look like when they are painted

Apparently on PC you need to select Colors, but when i select Colors it always prevents me from making Mavericks or other vehicles UC2.

@Fooking Rekt

I always use Car Stereo or Hydraulics on PC, and I can still use Secondary Color with no problems. I don't think it matters really, you probably just did something wrong... or it's a Mobile Exclusive problem, idk. I'd say use Car Stereo or Hydraulics like me to be safe.

So RIGHT when I enter Transfender, I should select Car Stereo or Hydraulics and then wait for Woozie's dialog and then quickly get out of the Vehicle and blow up the enemy Sentinels before making my way back to Doherty?

I know that the black Boxville (used in burglar side mission) is a different vehicle from the normal Boxville, although they have the exact same name. I wonder if the black Boxville supports everything the normal Boxville does and if it accepts colors.

Beefy Baron Exploit

I must be missing an important step. How do I avoid failing the mission when the death occurs? It would help a lot to have a text description that didn't make reference to other strategies that I've never tried or understood.

I don't expect sprint speed to be the make or break factor as long as CJ isn't using the fat man animations. If Katie's house has traffic or even the Romero (noon til midnight, normally) it might be faster than running to the Paradiso hideout. I tried dying again just offshore using the east SF Jetmax near the Bandito. CJ was within the San Andreas zone but CJ respawned at the SF hospital anyway.

Didn't someone mention a glitch allowing the free busted/wasted once feature of the Bloodbowl to persist after the mission? Respawning so far south and with the Banger available would make Loco a much more viable option.

You have to enter the marker, detonate the charges during the fading and when you see the Red Baron, release the "pick up the phone" button.

I think Romero actually spawned, but I'm not sure. No traffic at all, though.

About the Blood Bowl, you only keep your weapons after dying, you still appear in front of the hospital, not near the arena.

Yep. Just scroll down to Car Stereo or Hydraulics, press X twice and Triangle once the cutscene ends.

Also, during Beefy Baron you can go through garage doors (both from safe houses and mod garages), so you don`t have to wait for the door to open, although that shouldn`t save too much time.

About minimum fat/muscle being a decisive factor, I think it is, this guy is a really great speedrunner, and he said it helped him breaking the world record on both Beat the Cock challenges:

Let me rephrase: I am probably missing several important steps. This is the first time I've really become interested in trying these new methods. I'm all about a good rally race. I think I had Om0 once for the trucking mission because I was testing how to enable Kendl's Loser call, but it was the wrong sort of mission so I didn't do anything with it other than observer the Om0 icons on the map and wrestle with the cops. So anyway, the video I was watching started inside of an interior, so I'm confused about the call. This wouldn't come while inside, I assume, so must have been set up before entering. Is "call holding" part of the plan? Is that necessary inside? While using weapons? And, and... and? Sorry. I just want to do the race for real without mastering 60 pages of new content.

So, I can manage my garages, girlfriends, respawn locations and phone calls as needed. I've got End of the Line saves to play with and CJ saved right outside of Zero's shop. What do I do next?

Blood Bowl has an override_next_restart feature that spawns CJ outside of the area after a death, but I don't see how to avoid the cancellation that occurs if passed or failed, or ends in death. I think this glitch would have been noticed by now if it was easy. But it seems like the sort of thing that players might find a way to exploit if they know it's there.

Someone said that Catalina's crank calls don't work, but recently I read that Catalina's 100% call does work. What special notes apply to the mob_ran calls? In particular, Kendl's Loser call from the Lowrider mission, Toreno's calls to learn to fly, and Catalina's calls after her mission strand.

No weapons needed, if you don`t really mind just use Quarry, although you will have to hold TAB all the way from there (also make sure your alternate fire on vehicles is TAB), fail Quarry, and keep holding TAB, then you can start the desired mission with OMF0. Bloodowl is a lot closer, but requires a bit precise timinig, you need to start the mission when you are going to recieve the phone call, as you fail Bloodbowl you must keep holding TAB until you start the desired mission you want OMF0 in.

Some calls will always happen when CJ exit a vehicles provided he stayed inside it for more than 15/20/25 seconds, not really sure, that depends on the call. That is not true however for Debt calls or GF calls, so thats why storyline calls are a lot easier to use, specially in Quarry that you can just exit the vehicle next to the red sphere and start it with OMF0 if you have a storyline call available (Quarry takes 250ms to start or something, from what I read in the speedrunning forum).

Um... I'm still confused, and out of time. Two ideas that players that know what they are doing may want to try: Trip skipping an airline ride from SF to LS and parking a Hydra next to the SF hospital or Katie's house. If the easy solutions don't work out I'll give the rally option another shot when I finally get a little more time off from work.

Ooh! Katie's Romero to Juniper Bullet just might make the run with reduced traffic.

So..., if push my magic Om0 button after detonating the satchels I can run the rally without learning to hold calls from Quarry or Blood Bowl?

If you really want to skip all of that you can use a program to simulate a call being held. Is called gtaonmissionchanger, you get the call and hold TAB, then press F6, and you will be holding a call while having OMF0. Is exactly as starting Quarry get a call and failing while holding TAB, but less time consuming.

https://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/resources

You press the magic button before, but while holding TAB and recieving a call, then when you release TAB it will change OMF1( 1because of Beefy Baron) to OMF0. Or you start Beefy Baron and explode the satchels to die, then as soon as you see the RC Baron press the magic button, perhaps this is a bit easier and doesn`t involve TAB.

In particular, Kendl's Loser call from the Lowrider mission, Toreno's calls to learn to fly, and Catalina's calls after her mission strand.

I recommend reading these:

https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas/Game_Mechanics_and_Glitches/Duping

https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas/Game_Mechanics_and_Glitches/Phonecalls

In short, mob_ran calls have a recall delay of 60s and can be problematic when trying to use them with Quarry or Bike School because they have more delay when entering the marker, than high-priority calls.

On the Blood Bowl: "(...) however doing the duping <or Om0> setup doesn't properly clear up that "keep your weapons when dying" flag, which means you can die once after Blood Bowl and still keep all your weapons (but you still get warped to a hospital as usual)."

Here is what has to be done in "Beefy Baron":

1) If you want to hold calls inside vehicles, set your "Pick up the phone" button and "vehicle secondary fire" to one button, preferably LSHIFT

2) You must have an unanswered phone call, preferably a high-priority one.

3) Put a vehicle that you want to mod in Doherty garage. If you want to use Wheel Arch Angels, put a tuner car there as well (Sultan, Stratum, Uranus, Elegy, etc.).

4) If you have Katie as girlfriend, put a car in Paradiso garage as well (a tuner car if you want to use Wheel Arch Angels)

5) Get some satchel charges

6) Get to the Blood Bowl Arena, aim with your weapon, remember the time and shoot. The phone call will be postponed by 15 seconds (or 20 seconds if you are before the "Badlands" mission).

7) Stop aiming your gun, start aiming your gun again and walk in the marker.

8) When 15 (or 20) seconds since your shot passed, stop aiming your gun. The phone should ring during the fading.

9) Try to move your car during the cutscene. If it moves, then all is good. You can skip the "cutscene" with LMB.

10) Before the timer runs out, press and hold your "pick up the phone" button (LSHIFT). You will be holding it for a while.

11) Travel to Zero's RC shop. Place a few satchel charges near the "Beefy Baron" mission marker (about 2-5 should be enough, it depends on having the body armour and the amount of health).

12) Select your detonator and prepare yourself, this part needs to be done rather quickly. Walk into the marker and use the detonator during the fading. When you see the Baron, release the "pick up the phone" button (LSHIFT). CJ will be wasted, but the mission should still go on.

13) After respawning near the hospital/Katie's house, run to your (tuner) car and drive it to the mod shop. At this moment I select the colour menu (the one with the palette), but I'm not sure if it's necessary. Wait until the timer runs out.

14) You will appear inside Zero's shop, but with a colour palette near you (if you selected it before). Get inside the vehicle that you want to mod (in Doherty).

15) When you are inside the vehicle, the controls change for some reason. Select stuff with arrow keys and accept it with "W", "F" exits the modding menu and makes CJ get out of the vehicle, so don't press it accidentally.

16a) For TransFender: Once you are satisfied, press "F" to get out of the vehicle and exit the modding menu at the same time. The camera will go crazy, but get back to your vehicle and drive out of the mod shop and everything will go back to normal. Well, except of your vehicle.

16b) For Wheel Arch Angels: After applying modifications, press "Return" (Enter) to get out of the vehicle. The modding menu will still be on. Blindly enter your nearby tuner car (press left/right/A/D and Enter) and press "F" to exit the car and the modding menu. You will be teleported to the modding shop. Drive out of it and get to your modded vehicle (in Doherty).

Note: It might be possible to mod multiple vehicles during one setup this way (blindly exiting and entering vehicles, then modding them).

Ok, speaking on the OMF0 exploit on Beefy Baron I used it again, but on another unique model vehicles this time, on the Andromada. Is really annoying going all the way to Verdant Meadows without closing the modding menu, you can either walk, which is safer, or use vehicles if you are careful, because accelerate is the key for accepting things on the mod menu. So the Andromada is really nice to mod, has 2 visible colors, and the wheels are visible too. Bass Boost works and hydraulics can be installed but seem to have no effect at all:

I used the Transfender because I don`t think any of the cars accepted on Wheels Arch Angels can have the color 2 modded.

Also, when modding the Andromada be careful not to press the accelerate button to hard or it may go though the wall like this:

At this point, I don't think the term "Mutant" really applies anymore. When talking about a Bike and having 4 Tires instead of 2 and how they look crazy, that is why I used to say Mutant, but all these random Vehicles being made using the Conversion, it's probably better to just say UT as Unique Tuning or ET as Exclusive Tuning. Or perhaps Unique Modification (UM) or Exclusive Modification (EM) as that what it really is. All the Modifications that can be put on Vehicles can be applied to Vehicles in which normally couldn't get said Modifications...

I will change the Legend tomorrow and put it as UT for now as that is terminology everyone seems to use, but it makes more sense to call it UM for Unique Modification or EM for Exclusive Modification. Just like Damage Proof. Some people rather say Crash Proof, but the thing is, that doesn't make sense to me, either, since you CAN crash your Vehicle at any time no questions asked. It's just not DAMAGING the Vehicle from crashing, thus Damage Proof. But if someone is stubborn over that one, then at the very least "Dent Proof," since it still shares the DP Letters and is more realistic as the Vehicle can NOT dent when it's DP...

Just some suggestions on terminology. It's funny since about 50% say UC and the other 50% say EC. Just like some say CP as Crash Proof, but some say DP as Damage Proof. Some said Mutant and some said Unique Tuning, etc, etc...

Oh, I also will add in the EC Vincent from the Mafia Goons at the Casino. I'll add it at the end of the Guide sometime tomorrow...

I tried making the UT Greenwood using Wheels Arch Angels because I already knew how it looks when done at Loco Low instead, so I could compare. What I have to say is that the roof from Loco Low gives a much more unique look than the one from Arch Angels, while the Front Bumper , Rear Bumper and exhausts from Arch Angels look much more unique than the ones from Loco Low, wheels are almost the same, the only exclusive to Arch Angels is Shadow, which doesn`t look all that unique:

https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipMy-v_TEMaohb0ppY0cya7T7vlP0lP7apIXq8tD

In there photos all mods are Alien, I havent tried the X-Flow mods yet.

I also tested Beefy Baron exploit with GF calls, and it worked, so it really means that it is a method that is available forever, even if the game is 100% completed and all storyline calls are already gone, although it would be much better if a method that doesn`t require death nor OMF0 was discovered, that also allowed to use Wheel Arch Angels, and mod vehicles only unlocked later in the game, but unfortunately I can`t think of another mission that you can just wait for it to progress/fail and that teleports CJ to some place after that.

How about Burglary? It'll kick CJ out of the interior in the morning and then provide some time to arrive at the lockup. But I get the impression that R3 missions are not a good option.

Little fun fact: Even if you were to use all Nitro on a UT vehicle, the bottles of Nitro will stay in the car, even after putting it in a garage. So you actually would have a kind of different model vehicle :p

Today, I will do 17 Story Missions (Finish LS and all Country Story Missions), buy all Country Safehouses, buy all San Fierro Safehouses, and learn the SF Gym Moves. After I do that, I will make a backup of my Save. I also will be getting the EC2 Black ZR-350 from Farewell, My Love and saving it in a Garage after passing the Race/Mission. After today, I won't move on until I use Vigilante and find the NE BF-400 and NE FCR-900. At that time, I am all set for the SF Story Missions and working up to Mountain Cloud Boys to start making EC and UT Vehicles! :)

Getting closer and closer. Game goes so quick with the Starter Save...Should be around 45% Completion after today, too...

Since I was at it, I decided to take Photos of some Stats of mine in my Starter Save as well as my Rare Vehicle Collection. The "R" on the Map is indicating Ryder's House in Ganton for the Mission "Ryder." I only did Big Smoke and acquired the EC2 Black Perennial for my Starter Save, as well as doing all required tasks for 100% to reach 13.90%. Plus, obtaining 9 Rare Vehicles found in Vigilante, Locked Territory Spawn Points, or Locked Territory Found in Traffic (Turismo).

Good stuff. We go for different stuff in GTA's and care about different things, but in my saves I keep vehicle resprays to a minimum and savehouse visits too, but I end up with more playing time because I don't care about so much about doing everything as fast as possible, but rather just having the most fun with the save. For example, one thing I like to do in a starter save is trying to get the highest Vigilante level possible, with only being able to go around and pick up ammo at this stage of the game and no Rhino or Hunter to make for a super easy Vigilante run, I like to see how high I can get Vigilante at the start. My highest is around 56 iirc in a starter save. The Criminal rating, money boost and weapon skills boost that come from going on a long Vigilante run makes it fun too. And I think its a nice stat to have in a starter save. The only boring thing is going around collecting the extra ammo needed to achieve a longer Vigilante run..

What I like about your save is the vehicle collection, ''no meals eaten'' stat lol (I want to try this) and the 13.90 progress with Big Smoke completed (I've only done a 13.37 starter save before).

You mentioned the NE NRG-500 was easy/quick to obtain, how quick?

Pay and Spray Visits is only something NEW I just got into a couple months back, but just because I look at it NOW, doesn't mean I looked at it in the past when I made some of my Starter Saves a while back. I wouldn't re-do them just for less Pay and Spray Visits, though. The other stuff I achieved within is far greater than this ONE single Stat...Like in VC, I have 16 Pay and Spray Visits just in the Starter Save. This is because of trying to do 100 Taxi Fares in a row. I managed 95 in a row, AFTER finish the first 5...But because I was trying this type of task than trying to find a new Taxi every time mine went to sh*t and going quick as possible I used the Pay and Spray. Again, when was the Starter Save created? Last summer 2015...Again, when I didn't care about Pay and Spray Visits. I still don't care much, tbh. I care more for Deaths/Busted/Cheats/Mission Failures/Safehouse Visits/Total Playing Time out of all that exists in the Stat Menus...

Yeah, but think about it. Without Big Smoke passed, thus not obtaining the EC2 Black Perennial? -1 Safehouse Visit. Also, -20 minutes of Total Playing Time. Furthermore, if I didn't get these Rare Vehicles (9 of them), then -9 Safehouse Visits. I have 40 in total, but without Big Smoke passed and the EC2 Black Perennial obtained as well as NO Rare Vehicles obtained, I could of had -10 Safehouse Visits, thus only 30. If I had Safehouse Visits in mind a while back when I started it, I would of been able to shave off MORE Safehouse Visits. Like, I could of did NRG-500 Challenge and Blood Bowl back to back passing both BEFORE going back to Los Santos to save the game, etc. I could of also got some Oysters or Horseshoes, etc, etc, etc WHILE doing other stuff, like Burger Shot Courier, Stadium Events, etc, etc, etc. This would of saved me from saving so often, too. I only did such things because I thought this stuff would be extremely hard to pull off and plus, it was my first time and didn't know what to expect. If I did it over, I know I could have 20-25 Safehouse Visits instead of 40 I currently have. I also know I could have less Pay and Spray Visits AND probably 2 hours quicker Total Playing Time. Something around 12:30 or 13:00 would be nice for a Starter Save. People who do all 69/70 Stunt Jumps, Burglary, Max Respect, 9999 Rounds of Ammo in the beginning, etc, etc, are just jacking the Total Playing Time up tremendously. Also from doing a Starter Save, the game behaves strange and traffic crazy. I've seen Vehicles already turn off the road and drive off a bridge, through the barriers and everything. Instead of turning on the actual street that is coming up ahead of them, they turn early and drive through the concrete barriers on the bridge and fall down below. I never seen such crazy traffic problems in a Save and that was only 15:09 Total Playing Time which isn't high. I think the game gets glitchy if you do a Starter Save in full lol...Still worth it, though...

Yeah, it took about 25 minutes of reloading and I had to get it twice, technically. First time I got it to spawn within 15 minutes, I fell off my Police Bike and the NE NRG-500 got away and despawned. Then 10 minutes later, I got it to spawn again and that is the one I obtained. I saw 2 of them in 25 minutes. I saw 2 Turismos in Vigilante as well back to back within 5 minutes of each other. 5 minutes after those Turismos spawned, when I reloaded, the Phoenix spawned. I've seen plenty of NE BF-400's and NE FCR-900's spawn on the first go in Vigilante, too. I don't even do it from Santa Maria Beach and I do NOT have many Police Bikes or ANY Vehicles for that matter in my Garage. I have NOTHING in my Garage when I activate Vigilante and I did it from Ganton...Simple to find some of these Bikes in Vigilante. The Cars are a bigger problem for me, but even those took little time. The Turismo all together wasn't obtained from Vigilante, but from traffic in LV and on PS2, there is big problems with things spawning while on a 4 star wanted level, so take the 5 star difficulty and now just double it since nothing spawns. With nothing spawning, the chance of a TURISMO spawning is lower than it could ever be, yet I got it and obtained it...That's what I like, difficult tasks that pay off in the end...
