Lethal Vaccine

This is why these Methods are hit or miss. It all depends what Version and what Platform. PS2 isn't PS2 since there is many different VERSIONS. Just like PC isn't PC since there also is a few Versions, etc, etc...

I can never be CERTAIN if the ones I want to obtain on PS2 V1 will work. It's mostly still a mystery, I'm afraid.

Oh, I did a mistake, I wrote engineless, I think it is just no exhausts right?

I recorded on PC v1. I just held the aiming button, I never released it, and the opening cutscene just started by itself. Did you wait in the red sphere or close to the red shpere, I think you need to be waiting in the red sphere. Strangely for me, it worked every time I tried so far.

Hmmm, maybe it has to do with frames, I will try to get this with frame limiter on/off and see if both options work. If it only works with limiter off I am afraid this will only work on PC.

Well, good news, both options worked fine. But I can`t explain what may have happened to Mako, are you on another version maybe? If its not that I really would have no clue.

I did some further testing, it still is working every time. Also, those Sultans (they seem to be BP but not EP) parked there are not FI, but the Packer seems to be.

Maybe you can make a video that Obtain AP/NE BF-400、AP Packer (with BP Sultan) at one time

Thanks Supersisley, I could go for that obtaining the normal AP BF-400, but I don`t want to go for the NE again any time soon because I find luck based vehicles very annoying, specially ones that need info icon. So far the only vehicle that uses info icon that is not luck based is the Tanker because there is nothing random about the chase in Reuning the Families (unlike Smoke`s very unrealiable shooting).

Also, since the normal (not NE) AP BF-400 is so easy (when it works on the platform) I will try later on PS2 V1, and the V2 if I can find it, and let you guys know if that crashes or not the game and if the Bike will be where expected.

Lethal Vaccine

I finished III yesterday on PS2 and now in the process of doing VC, currently 55%. Once I finish off VC on PS2, I will actually go ahead and remake this Guide. I will re-write some of the Methods in this Guide and I will also include ALL Duplication/OM0 Special Vehicles in a separate post like I said I was gonna do before, but haven't got around to it yet. At that time, I will include the AP/NE BF-400 and regular AP BF-400 in the Post, etc...

The MAIN Guide 1.0. through whatever, will only include Special Vehicles that do NOT use such Methods to obtain them. It still won't have any of the inferior Special Vehicles included as those, with all the Duplication Vehicles, will be included underneath the MAIN Guide.

Doing this, we can separate the normal Special Vehicles from the Duplication Special Vehicles and really narrow it down as to what needs to be found of a better Method to obtain them, that is universal for everyone on all Platforms and Versions. That's what I liked about all the "normal" Special Vehicles since the beginning of time. They worked for everyone on all Platforms and Versions. Same goes for other GTA's, too. I made Guides for III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, and CW and there is not one single Special Vehicle that is listed that is inferior or using such Methods except this SA Guide, so I need to separate them from the main section. For instance, there is some Duplication Method to obtain the EP/EC Securicar in III on PC, but doesn't work anywhere else. THANKFULLY Stea1thman as well as Matt55 show a Method which works for ALL Platforms and doesn't use the Duplication Method at all. In VC, there is an EC Black Conversion Trick, but it uses Duplication while being on a Rampage while on the Mission "The Party." There is also an EC Black Stretch, Unique RC Baron, and BP/EP/FP Sanchez all exclusive to PC since it uses Replay Feature. SA....We all know there is now a good amount of Special Vehicles which also require Duplication/OM0 Methods and in LCS/VCS, there is none of those that exist...So yeah, I will fix up this Guide in the near future when I finish my VC Save to 100% with 90 Mission Attempts, 0 Deaths/Busted/Cheats, and 27 Special Vehicles + 4 NE Vehicles.

Mako, I tried FI BF-400 and I think I know what happened to you, because the same has happened to me. You probably cancelled the call too early, when the second cutscene began probably 20 seconds had already passed since you cancelled call so as soon as your aim would be stopped (when the cutscene where the bike is FI starts CJ will stop aimining, even if you are still holding the aim button) you would recive a call, which would set as OMF1, not allowing you to start the second instance as would happen otherwise would have happened. Is interesting to note that on the NE version video unlike the normal one I didn`t cancel a call at all, thats because I had no storyline calls available, unlike the normal FI video, the NE FI video was recorded on my main save which had no call availables, to start Just Business I was forced to use Denise`s call, on the other hand I didn`t need to worry about cancelling calls after jumping from the BF-400 during the chase.

Sorry but I still haven`t been able to test FI BF-400 on PS2, but now that I think I was able to pinpoint what was the problem Mako had I am more confident about the results I will have when I test there.

Also, I refined a bit my attempts on FI Patriot but still was not able to obtain it:

Very similar to attempt 1, but it turns out you can enter the Mule while holding a call and that will not trigger the message that comes when the Patriots are spawned, but both things will happen as soon as the hold call button is release if inside the Mule. So what I tried was release the hold call button just a little before exiting the Mule completely and starting a second instance (which should cancel the scripts of the first instance and hopefully prevent that the Patriot loses its proofings), so I was able to start the second instance much faster just a little after the Patriots were spawned, unfortunately even that wasn`t fast enough. Maybe this might be useful maybe not, who knows? What if I released the hold call button like 0,0000000001 second before CJ completely exits the Mule, would it work? Who knows? I really not sure what to expect.

Alright, it's possible that the phone started ringing just as the cutscene started, or I let go off RMB at the same time, thanks, I'll be more careful when attempting next time.

As for FI Patriot... As I has already written in this topic, Patriot is not immune even for a single frame. I've made a simple example that can help understand what I mean.
This is a stripped main.scm that I modified with lines from the mission (not the best of coding, but I hope you can understand what I mean):
http://pastebin.com/2hrqen33
You can compile it with Sanny Builder and start new game with this main. You can see that this contains a copy of mission Robbing Uncle Sam that involves creating Patriots. In fact, there is only one change: I deliberatly added meaningless arithmetic operations between adding immunities and removing them. This can create illusion that there is more time to deal with Patriot somehow, because there is more time "available" (indeed, it takes a few seconds for the game to perform the calculations). One may think that during this time player can destroy Patriot or check immunities or do something during those seconds. But if you test it yourself, you can see that game simply freezes during time of calculations. Illusion of extremely small time between adding and removing immunities is only illisuion, since game doesn't allow to do anything during this period of time as it can be seen from this example. When game finally unfreezes, Patriot spawns without immunities and has soldiers inside.

It may look like that duping can help with this issue, but unfortunately even this is not the case. Threads are processed sequentially. Second thread of the mission is only processed when first had already removed immunities. It may create second set of Patriots, but none of them will be immune.

The only way of dealing with this problem is interrupting script in the middle of process. I don't know any way of doing so other than memory corruption. Sure, I can tell you what addresses to change with, for example, Cheat Engine during the mission to prevent Patriot from losing immunities, but there is no difference between it and changing game script.

rhans, when you try it on PS2, let me know. I am still holding off on the 2nd Save File for quite some time. I still see no point in rushing into it right now before things are confirmed on PS2, etc...

Seriously Militia... you should make this guide complete, by adding in the UC2 vehicles.

Why make a guide if it is incomplete?

Damn, the game is giving me a hard time. Is there an easy way to flip a car with low ground clearance, like Bullet? Forklift doesn't work too well. I was thinking about using a Packer, but it would make things even more complicated.

Hey guys, this is not a method I would on any of my saves use but I decided to upload it anyway to help those who don`t really care about stats that much to get it faster and in a general way just helping understand better how the process of the NE FI BF-400 works ( either with or without suicide):

By using a phone call instead of the info icon you can also stop CJ from getting in the bike, however there will be no minimap available to help you get to sprunk the go back to Smoke, so you would either have to suicide or use replay feature (something which only PC platform has) just like done with the UC2 Washington here. But keep in mind this is very hard to do and that sprunk machine is a lot further than the Four Dragons Casino.
Oh lol, it seems he also used the replay feature in Just Business for the sprunk machine earlier today, I didn`t know about it. Well it is important to know that if you are not a PC user however you will need to suicide or to use info icon because there is no way to tell where you are if you don`t have the minimap nor the replay feature. The fact that rtyuijhghff did it proves that info icon is not needed for the NE version of FI BF-400 (on PC only), though he was not actually going for the same vehicle, the process is identical up until the chase.

Ok, I give up. I've been trying to destroy my car during the "coffee scene" but I failed. I've managed to get movement during the "coffee invitation" by using a phone call but I couldn't destroy the car when CJ was inside the house. The bomb got deactivated, flaming engine got extinguished and even flipped car didn't receive any damage. Dying with Om0 didn't help either.

If you move the car outside the marker before going into the house (by answering positively to the invitation), you spawn inside the (now gone) marker and the car or it's wreck is still there. The only problem is destroying it during the "coffee scene".

I didn't do it during the riots, but I don't think so. It seems that the street is pretty empty during the coffee invitation.

I'm thinking that it could be possible to drive on the hill that is next to the water, accept the invitation and let the car drive into the water during the cutscene, but it would probably be very difficult.

BTW: Sweet is fireproof during the final cutscene in Beat Down on B Dup, so using a flame-thrower to kill him is out of the question.

Yeah sinking it could work. Did you try parachute? I don't think it would work, but it's worth a try. One last thing that could possibly work is if you parked the car in a garage somehow, but that would be even harder than sinking it.

The car has to be destroyed when CJ is inside the house, not during the invitation scene.

After about six tries I've obtained AP Infernus for the second time. Once again I had unbelievable streak of bad luck. This vehicle is my arch-nemesis.

Things that went wrong when obtaining AP Infernus:

- accidentally hitting LMB during the cutscene, thus cancelling it
- accidentally entering the marker

- accidentally killing Sweet
- Sweet getting past parked cars that were blocking his way

- Sweet getting killed by drivers
- Sweet getting teleported to the Infernus
- Infernus getting teleported out of my field of view for some strange reason
- pedestrian jacking the Infernus

- getting killed by cops after successfully destroying the Infernus
- the game crashing for no reason

The wreck didn't disappear in front of the garage even once, though, which is very surprising.

rtyuijhggff's new Video uses Replay Feature (PC Exclusive) and also uses Just Business of course to get out of HS,LR, which again, PC Exclusive.

I am bored of everything done solely on PC Version...

HSLR + Just Business is indeed a problem, that also upsets me. He didn`t need to use "Replay", he could also have killed himself (bad for stats) or used info icon (luck based). Yeah, on another platform you would either have to settle between a lucky solution or a easy solution which makes your stats worse.

The Replay Feature to me is the same thing as Duplication/OM0. All of these sorts of Methods are dodgy and usually work for one Platform in the end. As I previously said, other than the Mutant Sentinel which was founded about 2-3 weeks ago, before that other than some NE BF-400's, there has been not ONE SINGLE NEW SPECIAL VEHICLE that uses traditional Methods. ALL of them use these new Methods which are broken depending on which Platform you play on and which Version of the game you have. I don't get how people actually find these things reliable and a good way of obtaining Vehicles. It's anything BUT reliable and it's proven time and time again.

Like I said, the Guide is gonna be morphed and completely redone basically, once I finish my VC playthrough in the coming days. I will for SURE be removing ALL Duplication/OM0/Replay Methods from the main Guide and including them in the Inferior/Credits Section. If and when a new, better, more reliable Method comes along that works for EVERYONE, then I will include each one, slowly but surely back into the Guide. But they will remain in the Inferior/Credits Section forever if no other Method comes about. That way, Collectors who just want to do things legit without any Methods in which are dodgy and exclusive to one Platform can see right before their eyes all the NORMAL Special Vehicles in the game. If they want to experiment with the other Methods on obtaining them, they can, and they can find all THOSE type of Vehicles and Methods below the main Guide...

Duplication/OM0/Replay is only a START to obtaining a Vehicle. It's not THE Method to use. It's only a start and a way to find a better, universal Method. But that's just the thing...All these Special Vehicles would otherwise be unobtainable if you don't go down the route of being on multiple Missions at the same time. If it wasn't for that, ALL of them would be unobtainable...ALL of them, literally. Special Vehicles that are unreliable like that shouldn't be said to be obtainable...

I think only vehicles using mission duplication like AP Majestic, Photo Opportunity cars or my method for AP Boxville can cause problems on other platforms. Om0 stuff should work everywhere, though it needs some further testing.

I guess that conventional methods of obtaining special vehicles have been done to death and have given no new discoveries (besides Mutant Sentinel). Finding out about getting Om0 and gaining movement during cutscenes has given us many new possibilities.

I disagree. It wasn't until a few years ago when the Parachute Trick to destroy AP Vehicles came to play and because of this, it made some Special Vehicles EASIER to obtain OR obtainable and off the unobtainable list. The AP/EC2 Bravura for instance is relatively new. It wasn't until 2012 or so when the Parachute Trick was founded, which granted us access to many more Special Vehicles that were previously unobtainable. Then there is the Info Icon Method which again, granted us access to nearly ALL the Special Vehicles in Just Business as well as the Satchel Charge Method and/or the Vending Machine Method, etc, etc. THESE are the Methods, despite how tedious or time consuming or luck based they are, they are still THE Methods to use and which work for EVERYONE on EVERY Platform, EVERY Version.

OM0 does indeed give new possibilities, but that doesn't mean it's THE Method to use and now that the Vehicles have been obtained using such Methods, doesn't mean people should STOP looking for BETTER, UNIVERSAL Methods like the ones I explained above. You can't deny the problems with Duplication/Om0 and all the differences between Platforms and Versions. You can't. If you do, then you're clearly in denial. It's common sense and all the discussion over the last 3-4 months proved it...

Maybe you disagree cuz you CAN go about obtaining all these Vehicles, since you, like 95% of the rest of the population, plays on PC. If you played anything other than PC, you'd probably have a better understanding of the frustration I find, or anyone else for that matter has with these hit or miss Methods. I have the Mobile Version and CAN make any AP Vehicle I want, but does that mean I will quit obtaining Special Vehicles on PS2 and just use Mobile to make any AP Vehicle I want and say "I obtained it." Hell no. The Mobile AP Conversion is just as cheap as the Duplication/OM0/Replay Features are...

Any EP/FP Vehicle obtained legit through Vigilante and/or their spawn points/traffic on the Map is GREATER THAN (>) taking the easy way out and getting said Vehicle later in the game without a 4 star wanted level, without tremendous luck in Vigilante, etc, etc, etc, and making it AP. As I also previously said on a past Page, I rather have an EP/FP Phoenix on PS2 obtained legit, than an AP Phoenix on Mobile NOT obtained legit. Legit, meaning, taking the time and effort to find it in Vigilante. Taking it from the San Fierro Race and making it AP is the easy way out. It's given to you. There is nothing special about it in the end. An AP Phoenix isn't that cool if you didn't take the time to get it from Vigilante. Just like an AP Turismo isn't that cool if you wait until LV is unlocked and find one on the street and make it AP with the Girlfriend Conversion. There is cheap tricks and then there is legit tricks. I rather take the time and agony to get a Turismo to spawn in LV at the beginning of the game and bring it back to Los Santos to make EP/FP with Gray Imports than getting a Turismo with ease later on without the 4 star wanted level or needing to bring it back to Los Santos and making it AP.

Like the AP Boxville...People have been doing the same Method since 2012-2013-ish. It's WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET IT. Myself, nor anyone else wanted to take an easy way out to get it. We just "took it," and said "this is what has to be done to get it and if we can't get it, we move on or try again tomorrow." We don't need every Vehicle to be given to us with ease...Then there is OVERACHIEVERS, like Stea1thman who takes the time to find Methods (usually harder and even MORE time consuming) which involve PASSING the Mission for said difficult Special Vehicle. See? He took the Mission Failure Method and evolved it into a passing of the Mission Method and didn't use any cheap tricks. He didn't think to himself, "how can I break the Mission so I can obtain this Vehicle easier." Just hard work, dedication, persistence, etc, etc. That's what Special Vehicles has always been about. It's not about "having the Vehicle." It's about obtaining it and the journey in which you took to get it without using any dirty tricks along the way. In fact, the LONGER it takes to obtain a Special Vehicle in the end, is probably a better feeling since you finally overcame something extremely difficult. In the end, it'll pay off to you more when you get something difficult that took you a long time, etc.

Now, I am not saying some of the Duplication/OM0 Methods are easy. SOME of them are really hard, but still, at the end of the day, if this wasn't capable of being used, ALL those Vehicles would be UNOBTAINABLE like they should be. It's equal to cheating. You can obtain some Vehicles with Cheat Codes, that can't be obtained without Cheats, but it's still obtaining it. Then there is Special Vehicles which can't be obtained without Duplication/OM0. But just because it doesn't record in the Stats as "Times Cheated: 1," doesn't mean you still didn't cheat, or break the game to get what you wanted.

OM0 doesn't want to work for me on Mobile, when ever bloodring ends, and i press "No" on Replay mission screen gets locked and can't do anything after, when i press start or resume button it will resume to normal game.
