Nice effort on the Patriot, rhans. I'm curious though. If that Patriot was fully immune, would you be able to get it out of the warehouse? And if you could get it out of the warehouse, could you get it off the island?

Thanks Orion! Yes, if I look away from a certain distance the gate of the warehouse will open, the same goes for the gate CJ jump over during the mission, it will also open when CJ is not looking. I also tried pushing the Mule to Emmet instead of Ryder house, thinking the ending cutscene (which I was planning to break with a phone call, similar to what is done with Smoke`s BF-400 or the FI Tanker) would start immediatly after CJ entered the Mule, but unfortunately CJ and Ryder must go through some dialogue first for that to happen (after that the proofings will be long gone). The main problem is stopping the script fast enough, if even that wasn`t I wonder if "Replay" button can be used or something else for starting the second instance before the proofing is lost. The wareshouse gate fortunately will open.

 

Oh yeah, I also tried doing exactly what I done in that video but also holding ESC, for pausing buffering or whatever, just "because", as I have no idea what exactly that does, but since I saw that in some of rtyuijhghff videos I thought this could maybe help me too here, but unfortunately it didn`t work as well.

This is related to Special Vehicles though. I want to make a list of ALL vehicles in the game where "Mutant" modifications can be applied, that can be handy for new Mutant vehicle discoveries.

Ok, from what I tested:

Mutant BF-400 can handle:

Hidraulics: Useless, but you can install it (also, does not disable horn, like it would do in a normal vehicle)

Wheels: Ok, everyone knows this.

Color1: Everyone knows this too.

Color2: Just available in cars that can have 2 colors modded, like Greenwood, Bullet, etc...

Car stereo (bass boost): You can install it and it seems have effect

 

Greenwood can handle:

Front bumper:

Rear bumper:

Roof:

Exhausts:

Wheels:

Spoilers:

Hood:

And the remaining will either crash or are useless since you can do anytime even after Reuniting the Families is done (like nitro, bass boost, hidraulics).

 

Sentinel can handle:

Secondary color: If you take a Broadway for example or other car that can have 2 colors modded to the Loco Low or Transfender, you can put a UC2 on your Sentinel

Front bumper:

Rear bumper:

Exhausts:

Spoilers:

Wheels:

And the remaining will either crash or are useless since you can do anytime even after Mountain Cloud Boys mission is done.

Edit: I got it quicker than expected. Last time it took me way longer to get. Surprisingly, this time making the Maverick land was the most difficult thing, unlike last time where alot of vehicles bumped into the Maverick :)

In which cutscene of Just Business is the BF-400 is AP? Also, can someone confirm if Smoke is BP when the bike is AP, sometimes characters have proofings just like vehicles do (like the Varios in HSLR or Ceasar in PO during the photography part).

Rekt, check out the Transfender Fix mod at GTAGarage. It's a modified version of carmods.dat (plain text) that can get you started. It will allow Transfender to accept more vehicles. I can't remember how complete it is. I remember trying to add stuff without success, but I may have added one or two that weren't already included. Most of the added vehicles have few option.

 

rhans. I must admit I'm still quite confused about how duping is effecting the mission. I tend to agree with Nick's assessment - these codes will execute so quickly that the vehicle will probably appear in the same frame as the driver, and by then it's too late. But you seem to be messing with the correct part of the mission. The Willowfield checkpoint is created and the "Head to the lock up in Willowfield" message is displayed immediately before the Patriots are created. In your video the army was driving, so it was obviously too late, but what happened to the other Patriot? Both Patriots are created and made immune before the script tries to add passenger, so it must have spawned. Did it disappear because it had no driver? If so, perhaps the 2nd Patriot was still immune. Can this vehicle be held in memory by viewing the docks - similar to viewing Tenpenny's firetruck during EoL.

 

I think the BF-400 is immune during the cut-scene where the Packer drops into the gully. I'm pretty sure I answered this question earlier in the topic, but maybe it was a different question. Sorry, I've been working a lot of overtime recently and I'm too tired to look it up or do any research.

To add to the mutant BF-400, it's possible to apply a paintjob in Loco, Low Co. as well, but nothing happens, and the bike will be stuck in a bridge if you mod in that garage. It's a shame, but maybe it could be impounded by some mission with huge impound radius? It would allow us to obtain some more special wheels, for example, didn't test any other mods, except a few which all crashed the game.

 

About the AP BF-400, it's AP twice, first in the cutscene where the AP Packer with AP Sultans spawn. In this cutscene, CJ is teleported on the bike when it starts. The bike is also AP during the second cutscene, where Smoke jumps with the bike, using the Packer as a ramp, and Sultans blocking your way (they're BP at this point, obtainable, but useless) explode. CJ isn't teleported on the bike during this cutscene. I tried starting another instance of Just Business just as the second cutscene started by walking onto the marker while aiming with a weapon, letting go off RMB once the screen went black, but nothing happened until the cutscene finished (and BF-400 wasn't AP anymore).

 

I'm not sure about actor immunities, they change a lot between FI an none during the mission, but I remember not being able to set CJ on fire just before he gets teleported onto the bike (I was hoping it would destroy the bike), so both actors are probably FI during the first cutscene, but it was a few months ago, so I might be wrong about this.

You have to show up to the top of the Mountain from the East or West or North or South, etc, etc. By coming to it a certain direction, it makes it spawn with or without a roof, or at least that is what all the talk was about some years ago. Not sure if it's exactly true, though. One time I had it withOUT a roof in 2014, but then every single other playthrough I did, it HAD the roof. Meanwhile, I did the SAME Method all times I obtained it, so I feel it's more random than anything...Just like the EC2 Mesa in Robbing Uncle Sam. Sometimes has a roof, sometimes not. Just reload until it does, basically. I've had the EC Camper from Jizzy like that, too. Sometimes had roof, sometimes didn't, even though I did the same thing to get it every time. EC White Camper is like that, too, in Riot. Sometimes with roof, sometimes without. Just reload until it happens in your favor of the one you want...

 

Personally, I prefer it withOUT the roof, but it's not like it's THAT bad in the end, I just prefer roofless.

Thanks Orion, after I ended recording I went to the other warehouse and had the Patriot as well, but it didn`t had any proofing as well.

 

Bender, I am not sure because I haven`t done myself (unlike other options which I have experimented a bit) but I think I have seen that in one of Bometer`s video on Tudou, but the quality was very low and everything confusing, so sorry if I am wrong. But what I think is that you have to open the color modding screens before CJ enters the Sentinel (and that happens quite fast) during the cutscene. At least thats what happen to BF-400, if you choose the color option before CJ enters the bike you get 2 options (on a Bullet, Greenwood, etc), if you choose color options after CJ is on the bike you only get 1 option even if the car can have 2 colors modded (maybe that is what happens to the Sentinel). Thats why in his video he had the colors mod screen before CJ is in the bike, when he opens again to put color 1 you can see the option for color 2 is gone:

 

On Tudou Bometer has 3 40 minute videos (take ages to load, I had to leave it loading and go do something else) and they have lots of failed attempts, some in which he tried both Transfender and others in Loco Low, there were many outcomes, for example, in one of them he exited the Loco Low so late that instead of appearing in Chinatown he appeared back in Loco Low, but was locked inside unable to get out

 

Thats a cool idea Mako, but is there enough time to reach Smoke house between 1st and second cutscene? I have been trying to break free during the first cutscene and kill Smoke but it seems very hard, if not impossible since Smoke will be driving at a quite fast speed and the cutscene is kinda short. I didn`t tried anything on the second cutscene since the camera is not in a good angle and would be very confusing moving, the one time I jumped from the bike during it I couldn`t even see CJ.

Idk why, but I am tired of SA at the present time. I've been doing III over and will be done later today with that and then I am re-doing VC over for better Stats and all the same Special Vehicles + some NE Vehicles since there is space to burn in VC unlike III, SA, LCS, and VCS.

 

I should do that 2nd Save File for SA on PS2, but I don't care at this point. I am just glad I got the 13.90% Starter Save done with + all those Rare Vehicles included so at anytime if I do a BIG Save or a small Save, I have these to make EP/FP which means I can get MORE Special Vehicles in the SAME Save if I wanted to. Probably like 66-71 Special Vehicles or so, but I don't even care to do that, tbh...

 

It's not like I can get any of the HS,LR Vehicles on PS2, so why should I even bother starting?

Ok, nevermind, I was able to get the FI BF-400, the video should be ready in 4 hours, and it is the easiest Duping/OMF0 vehicle that I have ever seen.

Ok, so here is how to get the FI BF-400:


This is actually very easy, just start the mission with OMF0, continue the mission, and go to the part where you have to kill the russians, kill the remaining with either satchels or let Smoke kill them and use the sprunk trick to be able to jump from the bike. Protect the bike and when you are close to Smoke`s house go there and hold you aim to not start the second instance and wait over the red sphere, the aim will be cancelled as the cutscene where the BF-400 is FI, now just go grab it and fail the mission.


If you want to get the NE (engineless) version of this bike will be a lot harder, because after starting it with OMF0 you will still need to go inside the Los Santons impound (to make the bike spawn NE) then grab an info icon pick up and hope you are lucky enough to prevent CJ of climbing the bike with Smoke during the cutscene, then go to a sprunk and go back to the bike (all of that with a locked screen, meaning you will need to move using the mini map), and then do the same as this video.

Nice one rhans. That does indeed look easy besides for the OM0 related stuff. It's cool that there is now another AP Bike and another one I can add to my list to obtain for the 2nd Save File. I don't even know if there is enough space in Los Santos even in THIS Save. There is just SO many that come up in LS early on...

 

Idk if this will work on PS2, though. Might crash the game...There is a LOT still unconfirmed on PS2...

 

I'll add this into the Guide, however, the Video isn't exactly "complete." Tomorrow, since it's late, I will add it...

I don`t know about the Packer and the Sultans, but I guess all of them are AP as well, and they shouldn`t vanish if the camera is facing them. I will be working on the NE FI BF-400 next, just hope it doesn`t take too long for me to be lucky with the info icon (the normal FI BF-400 is a lot easier because doesn`t require any luck nor the info icon, unlike the NE version). The other thing that makes the NE version harder is that you have to move with a locked screen to the sprunk machine and then back to the bike or to a mod garage to unlock the screen, having to rely only on your minimap. Fortunately, the OMF0 setup for Just Business is really easy, it is just like all normal missions, so all that is needed is to understand the 8-Track set up. The only ones harder to OMF0 are HSLR, which can take some tries, or Reuniting the Families as there are no storyline calls are available at that point and it forces you to use Denise`s annoying calls, that only happen once a in-game day.

 

Edit: I did some mistakes and realized I wasn`t recording until I kicked Smoke from his bike, and also the video surely wouldn`t need 2 parts but I was interrupted and forced to pause during the recording and I don`t know much about editing, but I managed to get the FI NE BF-400.

 

 

So basically I started the mission with OMF0 just like when I got the normal FI BF-400, but this time while Smoke was killing the russians I went to LS impound, grabbed a vehicle inside, exited it and grabbed the info icon, then I was lucky enough to gain movement during the cutscene and prevent CJ from getting in the bike, then with a locked screen but using the minimap I went to a sprunk machine, then to Loco Low, and finally went to Smoke and realized I wasn`t recording. What I did is basically start the mission with OMF0 and then do what rtyuijhghff did in this video up to 6:55, but after that, instead of going inside the LS Impound a second time I just go straight to Smoke kick him out of the bike and jack it.

 

Also, is important to note that is a lot harder protecting the bike without Smoke driving it, because the aim is simply horrible and keeps shaking like crazy (until the first cutscene, then it becomes normal, but surely I had taken a great deal ammount of damage I didn`t want to). I was really worried the russians would destroy the BF-400 before the cutscene where it is FI. While when I got the normal (not NE) BF-400 I reached the place I needed to jump with almost no damage, and the NE when I reached there the Bf-400 had below half health, but luckily (again) it survived long enough to reach the cutscene.

 

So if you want an easy FI bike just get the normal BF-400, but if you want a bit more challenge go for the NE version, as it will require a bit more skill, and will also require luck with the info icon.

Nice stuff! AP/NE BF-400 is sweet and probably the BEST Bike you want in NE Form, then. Either this, or the EC Mutant NE BF-400. Imo, if you're going for NE Versions, those are the 2 best.

 

Btw, when I was hunting for the NE NRG-500 in Vigilante, I found 2 NE FCR-900's and 1 NE BF-400, both Bikes had no Exhausts. I am wondering, though, why the NRG-500 also loses the entire Engine and Exhausts and not JUST the Exhausts. I am also wondering why the PCJ-600 can't be NE as I also saw it in Vigilante, and did the normal circumstance to get Bikes to spawn NE, but the PCJ-600 is always the same...I also saw the Sanchez in Vigilante, but I suppose it can't be NE, either. Seems just the NRG-500, FCR-900, and BF-400 can be NE...

Now I'm really confused, because I tried the exact same thing when trying to obtain it a few months ago, but nothing happened when the screen went black - I didn't start another instance like in the video, it started after the cutscene was over. What platform/version is this recorded on?
