f*ck it, lol...Maybe after I get this cursed EP/FP Hotring Racer in my VC Save (since it's the only Special Vehicle in VC's existence that I need and never obtained yet), I will do a PS2 Save for SA in Slot 3 and gather up everything else I need and never obtained on PS2 for SA. At this time, I can see about these PO Vehicles. I will tell you right now, if I can get them and all it adds is the blue dot on the Radar and no other side affects and can reach 100%, I will. I also will get the Unique Andromada, even though you can't take it out of the Hanger without the Health Cheat. Will get this DP Leviathan, try again for the DP/EP/FP/MP Police (now for the 5th time), the 3 EC Nebulas, etc, etc...

What I will probably do before this, though, is complete my 13.90% SA Starter Save. It's 13.90% for me since I did Big Smoke and got the EC Black Perennial and a Seasparrow for the Starter Save. Doing Big Smoke adds another .53%. Without Big Smoke, it's the usual 13.37%. I already have 8.02% of it done with since I started it when I did my current SA Save with the 61 Special Vehicles.

Getting an engineless proofed bike during just business mission without info pick up. To be able to do that you need to know how to"dupe" missions with 8-track, though you don`t actually dupe this mission. You will need 2 "spare" calls at the start of the process as you "spend" the first one when you start Just Business and then you need a second one to gain control over CJ during the cutscene. Patrick has sent me a video explaining how to use 8-track for duping, if he allows me I will post.

Also, I tried getting the FI Police Maverick from RtF, I was able to break free from autocontrol by dieing with OnMission=0, and then I went to the alley where the mission ends and desoyed the greenwood when it was about to clash with the Maverick, unfortunately the maverick vanish if the mission fails. Perhaps I should post a video of my failure? Might give people new ideas.

How to dupe with 【8-track】?

Hold the Tab all time while racing?

Depends. Go to your vehicle keyboard configuration and see which key is set to altfire. If is Tab yes, if it is some other key then you gotta hold this other key. When outsied of a car you hold tab.

So is this Duplication Method the only Method people are gonna use for all existing Vehicles that are unobtainable or too difficult now? Ever since the PO Vehicles, it's the ONLY way people are looking into using to obtain the unobtainable Vehicles. Every instance where it was used to obtain something, it had a negative side effect like blue dot in map for PO and yellow dot on map in that AP/EC Maverick Video. As you can see, it's quite common to have bad effects, yet, this is the only Method people are using for new Vehicles. You guys can discuss if you want and all, but using these Methods, I won't add anything into the Guide. I don't even like having the PO Vehicles in the Guide let alone anything else for that matter.

Strangely enough, there is an EP/EC Securicar in III. Guess what? You can get is using the SAME stuff you guys are into on PC. Try it on PS2? Game is broken. Point is, none of this stuff works on Console, like the BP/EP/FP Sanchez, Unique RC Baron, and EC Black Stretch in VC. All of these are using Mission Replay Feature and game breaking Methods in order to obtain them and only work on PC. Thus excluding HALF the player base. Thankfully Stea1thman found a LEGIT Method to get this EP/EC Securicar in III, just like he found legit ways in SA to pass some of the Missions for the Special Vehicles instead of failing.

I die on RtF and then get ability to move freely and go to that alley to wait for the Greenwood to arrive and the Maverick to appear. If at that point I explode the Greenwood with minigun, the mission fails and the Maverick vanishes as it is scripted to, but if I use explode all vehicles cheats the mission doesn`t fail and I get to push the Maverick wreck. It could probably be obtained, even without cheats, if I was able die, then get rid of autocontrol, then go to CJ home start a second instance and then go to the alley and destroy the greenwood. Unfortunately there is not enough time for that. If I die to the first biker the jumps on the car the game crashes for me, but if I die to the second there is no problem. If only there was a way to stop the Greenwood and not fail the mission other than using the blow up all cars cheat.

Sorry to say but on PS4 when i have running PO and trying to deactive it by driving school or Pool Game, game crashes as it does on PS2.

Enough for SA for a while im out of there, see you guys in other big discovery.

These things don't work on Console. I already know it. ANYTHING used like this in previous GTA's did the same thing. All of this stuff is exclusive to PC and always will be...

That Feltzer isn't special. Besides, you can get an AP Pink Feltzer from Millie as a Jealous Girlfriend, or an AP/EC2 Feltzer from End of the Line. Everything's been found for what Special Vehicles have immunities. You will have to look back some Pages though and sift through a lot to find what I copy/pasted from OrionSR TWICE in this Topic now. Nothing special about that Feltzer, though.

Just look on Page 1 of the Guide. You will only see two Feltzers listed in the entire thing as those are the only two...

It is your guide, Militia, so you are free to do the trade-off judgements yourself - version restrictions, ugly markers, deaths, complexity, etc. I hope you can understand, though, if people say "we want our results documented".

You are free to have your own guide but if you judge some strategies as too [any number of the things listed above] then the others will have to create their own guide.

I'd like to see the support for this, if you are in favor of having the "controversial" vehicles included even if that means creating a new "controversial vehicles" guide that includes a link to Militia's for the "non-controversial" ones, like this post.

I hope these likes don't give me any bonuses other than some text under my post and a notification because I do not want to benefit from this, I just want to know what people think.

The best solution would be that you include all things in the guide and let people decide for themselves. The worst way this could end is a bunch of stupid kids shouting at each other. :D

E: Creative ideas how to solve this problem in a different way are welcome.

Yeah as it wasnt on the list I thought it was a long shot. the special quality about the car I wanted to save was the actual guy on the bonnet, should have made that clear. Abit like the manana with body in trunk on gta 3

No, that can`t be saved, badnews, just like crates in Ryder Picador during Catalyst, or those thing in the plane during N.O.E. or the magnet in Up, Up, and Away.

This time, unlike the others, it wasn`t necessary to dupe, so no need to worry about blips. The mission is started only once and the game recognizes as you are not on a mission, which gives you the ability to recieve phone calls during it. It also gives ability to start a second instance if you want, but it would have no benefit and would leave a permanent(s) blip(s), so this should not be done. You go and proceed with the mission up until the part you need to get movement in a cutscene, instead of using the info icon, a phone call is used, after that the only instance that was started is failed, so all blips are gone and no risk of crashing, it should be pretty harmless. It should work on PS2 too but due to the controls holding phone calls is a bit more annoying. What crashes PS2 and not PC is starting 2 different missions at the same time (PO and driving school), something which may work or not depending on what missions and and which platfroms.

I agree with you about that, I would never recommend using dupe on a vehicle that can already be obtained, I would rather have no glitches, the UC FI Maverick was done just for the sake of testing, I put (not reccomended) on title of the video to not encourage people to attempt that on a serious file.

@Patrick1994,

I am pretty sure the Mods/Admins/Forum Leaders wouldn't like that. There is a reason you see a PAD LOCK on everything else dealing with Special Vehicles in the SA Section. There is no need for 10 Topics serving the SAME purpose.

There is a reason why Special Vehicles are unobtainable. Some will probably ALWAYS be unobtainable, too. If that's the case. I can live with it. Until a Method in which works for EVERYONE is found, I will always classify said Vehicles unobtainable.

Furthermore, it wasn't until I made this Guide was there a lot of discussion. Anybody could of did it themselves, yet, then waited until I did it and then say it's not good enough. If this is the case, Idk why anybody didn't take the initiative themselves all these years to do it. It took me a couple weeks...Anybody could of done it. 95% of the Methods in the Guide are also ones I done myself and can explain, since I obtained them all on PS2. All these new Methods, I don't write about since I didn't obtain them. When I do? I will edit the Guide and write it better. But still, anything that breaks the game won't be added into the Guide. Might as well add in the Cheating Vehicles, too. Nah, I won't.

No appreciation? Might as well close this entire Topic, too. Then someone else can make it and include what they want...

See HERE. What's the point of the same Topic copy/pasted? Hence why it was closed...

There is also PAGES to this Guide. If someone wants to sift through all of them, they can read about these things you guys are discussing. It doesn't need to be all on Page 1. Furthermore, the Forum has a limit. Hence why ALL the Guide isn't in ONE Post. I had to make multiple Posts for it all to fit...Even the way it is, it barely fits...

Thanks for the calm and reasonable reply. That there should not be millions of stickied topics makes sense. So there does not need to be another stickied thread, just a "normal" one. It would be nice if you linked to the other guide but there is no "moral law" forcing you.^^

I was worried that my post could have been understood as "kill Militia" bs and start drama - maybe some people got it that way, it seems you did not.

All I want is that people can decide for themselves what burdens they want to accept to get their vehicles. I accept that you, doing the work of documentation, can decide what is inside and what is not. That your guide is the only one, that I what I'd like to have changed.

E: I just read the edits. Whatever, I will not edit my post. ^^

One edit though: yeah, I did not appreciate your guide because it's a human stupidity to just take for granted what is there - and I share it. Now that you have raised my consciousness to it: thanks for taking weeks of your spare time to document the findings. It saves people a lot of work I imagine.

Plus, I already added in the useless Vehicles and even added in another one yesterday, the EP/EC2 Admiral from You've Had Your Chips. It's in the Guide on Page 1 in the Credits Section. I didn't see one person appreciate it. Only bitched about it not being there the first time around. That is why I didn't care to add it in the first place. Hardly anyone appreciates all the work. They just want it "done" and handed to them. I never take the easy way out and it goes in GTA, too. If something is hard and I don't have the ability to get it. I skip it and think to myself, maybe in the next playthrough I will get it, which usually happens. In regards to SA, I can get it all but the Police Car, basically...

Good new guys, I managed to get the FI Police Maverick from Reuniting the Families. It uses duping but this time leaves no glitches or anything permanent on the map. The only problem is that I am still a noob at duping, so 8-track and girlfriend calls (those calls are a bit more unrealiable, and require a bit more effort to predict when they occur) prooved too hard for me, but they are not impossible as there are people from speedrun forum that managed to that. So I was only able to pull that off using the program On Mission Changer. If you guys wan`t I can make an incomplete guide of how to obtain it that shows what to do after the setting up has been made, and that could be used as reference until someone better at duping than me complete what is missing in that guide, or maybe I will complete it myself later if I improve at duping, doing what Nick007J did to dupe with a girlfriend call.

So its up to you guys, should I make the video even if it is incomplete and uses help of a tool to "dupe"?

ANYTHING about Special Vehicles is good for the Guide, or the people reading it. Especially if it's for a once "Unobtainable" Special Vehicle.

This should work but to be honest I came to realize I do not know how gf calls work exactly... Here is a post by Nick with a save and description.

http://www.speedrun.com/post/6dvsu

He knows the time because he edited it with a save editor (don't ask me how^^). You can know it legitimately by saving, waiting for the call, noting down the time and then re-loading.

Edit: What was I thinking. :D For this save to be of any use, take note of when she calls, reload save three times and then see if she calls at 19:xx. If she does, re-load again and try starting 8-track at 19:xx - timed in a way that she calls during the fade.

This is how I use 8-track to set up a dupe. Notice that I hold shift from the moment it rings on until I want to have onmission = 0

https://www.dropbox.com/s/l5wow6nv3sv94ez/8-track.mp4?raw=1

So the steps are:
drive past her house to make the game schedule a call at ... a time it generates randomly and then "remembers" it
save
wait for the call
note down the time
re-load
You can set the time to your liking by using a mix of waiting and saving - make sure that the time is 1h or so before the call comes in.
start 8-track a bit before the call comes in and hold Esc (I do not know if the call is very consistent down to tenths of a second, check it using the recordings... if it is, no esc or lucky timing is required)
start Re-uniting with the call
wait for some minutes - away from her house, probably?
"You missed your date"
now there is a gap in my knowledge... will she recall after a random time when you pass her house after missing the date?
or: take the date, go away and come back to get the next call

now you hopefully have a call scheduled at a random time - you have no clue when. Just go to your homies that had to wait for you while you were doing/missing the date. Blow up the heli and wait for the next Denise call.
Profit

Ok, the video is done. The process is not too complicated, but involves lots of flying, walking and driving, so it was a long video, I had to cut in 2 parts. Also my internet is not so fasst, so it will take like 20 hours to upload.

How to get a FI Police Maverick on Reuniting the Families. For that you have to use the "duping" concept to be able to die during a mission and not get mission failed. Very important, during the chase you must always get killed by the second biker, not the first, also, do not save the game without doing part 2.

If you want to try before part 2 is uploaded I will explain a step by step, since part 2 is not too complicated to understand.

Part 1 steps:

Step 1: Use duping concept to start RtF with OnMission=0 (hard because only girlfriend calls available, and need to be done in 8-track).

Step 2: Do the mission as normal up until the part where you destroy the helicopter, and hurt yourself a bit before the chase, don`t have your health too high or the bikers mayy not be able to kill you.

Step 3: Let the second biker kill you not the first, the game does not handle if you are spawned too far from the Greenwood, since OnMission=0 you will not fail the mission and will get the ability to move around.

Step 4: Run to the alley where the mission ends, shoot the Greenwood a bit to decrease its health but don`t destroy it yet. Wait for it to drive to the red marked which will appear when the car gets close to the Helicopter and as soon as it enters it destroy the car. If you destroy too soon you will get mission failed and the Heli will just vanish.

Step 5: Steal the helicopter and fly it to a garage:

End of part 1 stets

Part 2 steps:

Step 1: Go back to Ganton and start a second instance of the mission. For some reason sometimes that doesn`t set your OnMission to 1(no idea why), so you will still see a red marker in front of Sweets house, if thats the case start the mission a third time, if you don`t great, just proceed to step 2. When there is no red sphere to start missions and no mission icons on the map then this step is done. (Really strange, but sometimes you only need to start a second instance, sometimes you have to start a third as well)

Step 2: Ignore sweets Greenwood and go to the garage where you put the heli and open and close it to save the heli, after that fail the mission by getting WASTED/BUSTED, don`t fail by destroying Sweet`s car as the only fails the instance that car belongs to, you need to fail all instances, so only BUSTED/WASTED works.

After that you can load save the game.

Step 1: Use duping concept to start RtF with OnMission=0 (hard because only girlfriend calls available, and need to be done in 8-track).

This is the video showing that such a trick is possible (also answering your question on speedrun.com forums). I used a save from GTASnP and slightly modified it. I have never tested how to set up all conditions for normal gameplay without modifying a save, but here are my thoughts and instructions:

1) If you have multiple girlfriends, have a date with Denise to set her as current girlfriend.

2) You need to find out time when Denise's call is scheduled to. Purely in-game way is to stand on the street for 24 minutes and wait for a phonecall. When it occurs, remember the time.

Slightly easier way is to use save game editor (without actually editing save). Use Japanese save editor (I have forgotten actual link but I'm sure someone can link it), load your save file. Open script section, choose "gfagnt" thread from middle list and find values of "@5" and "@6" of the opened local variables list to the right. @5 represents hours of call, @6 represents minutes. However, actual call occurs 4-5 seconds before "@5":"@6" (for example, in video above @5 = 22, @6 = 0, but call occurs on 21:56). Since you are using editor anyway, have a look on $389 and $393 in global variables list to the left, I think they both have to be set to 0 (maybe only one of them, not sure, but otherwise call won't happen).

3) Now knowing this, step to 8-Track marker just before the call has to happen. Probably pause buffering method works to make gap wider, but I didn't use it. You have to start keeping call immediately, so press action key while fading and don't release it until picking up RtF. Destroy your car, return to Sweet marker and start the mission. Phonecall will probably be answered after cutscene, but you will be with OMF=0 while on RtF.

The biggest problem of this explanation is setting Denise as current girlfriend. I am pretty sure that if Denise is your only GF, there will be no troubles with phonecall, However, if she isn't, you need to make her active. I guess dating her should deal with the problem.

At this point in the game Denise should be your only available girlfriend. However, I don't really like the idea of using her phonecall. Can't you use someone else's? How about Kendl's when you lose the lowrider race or Smoke's when you are fat and fail The Running Dog? They are both low priority phonecalls, so maybe they can be kept in memory all the way to Reuniting the Families?

As far as I know, you can start dating other girls before unlocking respective areas, so this is not necessarily the case.

Phonecalls you've mentioned are only available if you had failed the missions but still haven't passed them. RtF is only unlocked after completing Running Dog and High Stakes, Low Rider, so they can't be available.

Oh, what a pity. It seems that this AP Police Maverick is a royal pain to get because of these requirements (and getting 20% driving skill early in the game).

By the way, I think there is slightly easier way to fail the mission. After you restarted it, just destroy Greenwood. It will fail either both instances of RtF if it hadn't failed after restarting or only one if other one had failed already. I'm not sure if you can drive it to Doherty safely, but you can use remote explosives.
