GTA SA Special Vehicle Guide [2015]

Well those 'challenges' are the only ones I'm looking for. Well now I want dozer, thanks for offering. You can let me now about other challenging ones, I really appreciate them.

But why is it better to store road vehies onto a roof, not in a garage? If there is a seasparrow on a roof, then 3 cars should fit there. Or its just about fun maybe?

I used to store an EC Perennial, EC Mesa, BP Forklift, and EP/FP Seasparrow using Mulholland. Why store them up there? Did you even look at the Photos? I filled every space in the game other than the SF Impound, LV Impound and 1 Vehicle in the LS Impound, plus 1 spot free in LV Garage, but nothing fits. To maximize space and get all the Vehicles you will NEED to do something like this.

You do realize all these Rare Vehicles (Before EP/FP Conversion) need to be obtained early, like in a Starter Save and/or before Gray Imports. So at that time, what space do I have? LS, Doherty, and Impounds. When I left LS, everything was filled other than the SF Impound. 16 in the LS Garages, 4 in Doherty, and 6 in LS/LV Impounds combined.

So, why did I do this? Basically, cuz I HAD TO, if I wanted to fit all these Vehicles and be able to use them. Why jam them into a Garage and then never be able to get them out?

You try putting a Phoenix, Turismo, and Bullet into the Mulholland Garage and tell me what happens. It just won't work, if you want to ever get them out again. Mulholland Garage is bugged with a strange hitbox or something. The right side of the Garage when looking into it, you can't park a Vehicle against the wall. Half the SPACE you see in the Garage isn't even useable...

At best 2 Cars (as I said, Perennial and Mesa), and 2 Bikes or a Forklift and Bike, or Bike and Seasparrow, etc, etc. There is only so many combination of Vehicles that fit NICELY inside each Garage in this game. Look at the 69 Special Vehicles I obtained, all from Story and EP/FP Conversion and you will see, everything is stuffed, yet, being stuffed, I can still get everything out with ease.

Park 2 Vehicles inside Dillimore, all the way in the back of the Garage, need a Tractor/Tow Truck to get them out. In other words, Garage rendered useless. I park my Vehicles, so I can get them out with ease...

If anyone wants to obtain both FP/EP RC Baron and FI Berkley's Van, I recommend doing so in Supply Lines... instead if Air Raid (for the Baron). I regret wasting my time with Air Raid, because it was so incredibly luck based, probably the hardest vehicle I ever obtained, or maybe I was unlucky.

After that, I was obtaining FI Berkley's Van in Supply Lines... and i tried pushing the RC Baron wreck at the same time. It was much easier, but I just left Baron in front of my garage, because I already had one.

Push that Baron into the Garage. Your Game WILL crash. So it's good you didn't do that, or you would of had to REOBTAIN the AP Berkley's RC Van...

rtyuijhggff already said....10 months ago? That you can't get it from Supply Lines... If you do, game crashes when it closes down on wreck. This is the whole reason why everyone is getting it from Air Raid as it's the ONLY WAY TO GET IT AND NOT CRASH THE GAME....Plus it's EP/FP.

What about the Beefy Baron side-mission? Isn't it possible to get the Baron from it?

Hey Militia, sorry my bad, I've actually been way too ethusiastic about the progress of obtaining and haven't thought about the importance of getting vehicles out with ease. Of course I looked the pics, I'm reading everything carefully to avoid stupid questions, but like I saw, there's a room for deployment. Yea actually In Mulholland apart from invisible wall there, for some reason my UC2 Perennial and Mesa got stuck on the ground, basically like AP/UC2 Bravura, I can't get them out even with a towtruck. So now I'm smarter and can avoid such stupidities, cause its my first time playing SA and I don't yet well now what weird things garages hide. I don't wanna pick a fight with you, u like my mentor who is pro enough to help me in any case with Special Vehicles and hope our cooperation will remain friendly :)

toomuchinvigilation I think there is some weird way that noone uses, because it well is unique, but not special at all. MAYBE I don't know 100%

I think only Unique or Unique/FP in other Missions, anyways. I think it's only EP/FP in Air Raid, but I can't remember. I wrote it down somewhere in here. OrionSR wrote it down like 7 years ago somewhere.

Update:

Grove Street garage:

EP Mule

BP Fortklift

AP Tampa

AP PCJ-600

Mulholland Garage:

EC Black Pereniall

EC Green Mesa

The "Beach" garage:

EM Pony

I'm now trying to figure out if I should keep the EP Mule, or just destroy it (since there's the Gray imports trick)

Am I the only one who finds it really hard to destroy/abandon a Special vehicle? I mean, I know its inferior but still... It's hard to let it go...

(This is also why I really dislike LBCS, because I just can't let go of the special cars)

That is EXACTLY the same setup like I used to have, but ain't you got nothing in El Corona garage? Parking 4 small vehicles sideways is possible and you can also get them out. I put all nebulas there. But I also DIDN'T destroy my special vehicles, that is not even an option, there is a posssiblity to abandon some of these, e.g I left AP/UC2 Bravura, AP Admiral, AP Sentinel and BP/FP Voodoo for my second save, even though I didn't obtain any EP/FP vehicle, there was no room anymore at this point of the game. And oh yea, also didn't fit EP Banshee in garages. Even my impound was full before coutryside, AP Packer and NE Coach, EP/FP/DP/MP Police were there. My point is, never destroy special vehicles, because if you obtained EP Mule, that shows us that you are also a great fanatic and wether you want or not, you need a second save anyways. Just obtain missing vehicles in there. Thats how I did. I also moved BP forklift to Mulholland, AP Sanchez was easier ro save in Ganton. It is a painful driving, yea I know, but be aware, possibly you have to move them pretty often around the world, some of them to countryside garages and AP Packer maybe to SF, DON'T keep vehicles in impound if they are not friendly with you. And in the end of the game, probably you have to move most of small vehicles to Las Venturas, since back in LS there is again many nice ones. I didn't move only EP Mule, and it didn't really bother. On page 107 I have my own save setup, you can check if you interested. Well, if you do not care, instead of invisible UC2 vehies, there is actually more room for visible-testable property vehicles.

I didn't even experience the hell, and I can already say, your hell is much less than my hell. I can feel it now how bad this is going to be....On PS2.

Everyone did it on PC. Nice, I guess I'll be the first to pull it off on Console....Without any Helicopter taking off faster due to PC Features, not on any Console. Even if it's luck based, and difficult, it's still much harder on PS2. I gotta get it, though, as it's the ONLY Special Vehicle I need from an actual Mission when I do my 2nd Save. The rest of the Special Vehicles it'll contain are just random sh*t using AP/EC/EM Conversions...

I won't get back to SA for another 2-3 months, though, and at that time, I am doing the new Starter Save before I do the 2nd 100% Save using OM0.

I've heard somewhere that the cars in "High Stakes, Low Riders" are EC/EC2 (atleast one of them is), I think it was from the Gta series video...

Is it true?

Actually, in the mission itself, you can only get AP lowriders using OM0. But, after you complete this mission, a guy spawns behind the fence nearby and you can take lowrider challenge missions. From THERE you can get several EC2 Emperors, yeah. Its doable after 100% completion.

I have a minor issue with safehouses whose garages are exactly next to the door (Santa Maria Beach, Paradiso, the three identical ones in Las Venturas etc.). Many a time, when I have more than one vehicle in these garages, and save the game in the respective safehouse, after reloading, all vehicles but one disappear. I know why this happens, but not how to fully counteract it. Of course, I countermeasure this by never saving there, but it's somewhat annoying.

This is the exact same case with the Hyman Condo's big garage in Vice City, but I counteract this by slowly approaching the Save icon from the side of the door that leads to the roof, thus not giving the garage a chance to open, and always saving the respective game in a backup slot. I can also fully handle the Doherty garage (although the reason this garage is unreliable is slightly different), especially on PC, but NOT those that are right next to the safehouse door. Is there any way to save in these safehouses and keep the vehicles 100% of the time?

Eeh what this problem is interesting. Well are you playing on PC? Me too, (high five when yes) but I have never had this issue. I'm pretty much always saving when garage door remains open with 4 vehicles in when I enter a safehouse. Lol I was actually scared at first because of the danger of something like that, but yea didn't occur even once during the whole 100% save. So I don't know what to do, saving somewhere else seems like the only way... :(

Lowrider Challenge Vehicles are AP and obtainable with OM0, too. rtyuijhggff has a Video. "AP Conversion for Lowriders" using Lowrider Challenge. Player's Vehicle is AP during this Mission and can be obtained with OM0, but a Suicide. This is why a lot of the AP Vehicles using OM0 are NOT worth it. Better to just convert them to AP if they require Failures/Suicides.

Some vehicles cannot be taken on the remastered version (like the Unique Andromada) but otherwise you can get all the vehicles without any problem.

@Lennart - Why Barbara? "8-Track"+"Pimping" with Denise works much better. You can have any % progress with Denise, and if the bitch asks for something like clubbing, you can turn it into a drive-by date, even if you have 100% of territories taken over, because she also shoots the Varrios Los Aztecas, so the risk of reloading is nullified. It's less trouble than keeping a low progress with any other girlfriend.

Update: You can enter the Santa Maria Beach safehouse without opening the garage by hugging the wall and slowly approaching the door, just like the Hyman Condo. I also confirmed that this works with the Rockshore West safehouse, as well. Two more reliable safehouses. The ones I still have trouble with are:

Palomino Creek

Calton Heights

Paradiso

Prickle Pine

Whitewood Estates

Redlands West

Wow, that's still a lot. If you have more than one vehicle stored in any of the safehouses listed above, saving there is not really recommended.

Nice, copy/pasting what a PBM has said...

:^:

@RationalPsycho, no need to ask FR anything in my Topic. He's banned and will continuously be banned every time he makes a comment in the Guide and shows his face on this Forum. Get it? So why ask him anything? No worries, since his side kick Lennart will post FR's sh*t here.

There is a bunch of different setups you can use for all this stuff in SA. It's what YOU prefer and get used to. Since I am used to Quarry Missions for AP Conversion, that is what I do, even though you can do it with a whole bunch of other Side Missions like Trucking, Pimping, this, and that, etc.

And thanks to Tiger for removing the trash...

Does this guide work for PS3 remastered version?

You can get all the normal Special Vehicles, I'd imagine. But with OM0, I am pretty sure the PS3 Remaster Physical Version can't hold any Phone Calls, thus SOME of the OM0 Vehicles won't work for you. But what gives? There is plenty to obtain without OM0 and get experience from and tackle some monumental challenges. So I'd start there...

I just wait for about three seconds after entering a "dangerous" savehouse before saving. I think only Santa Maria's Beach garage ate my car twice, the rest didn't eat any of my vehicles.

The guy might be violating the rules (creating another account after the main one is banned), but his post wasn't trash. It was a legitimate reply that had to do with the video. The post in question itself was not infringing any rule, and, since you didn't exactly clarify what you were referring to as "trash", I assumed you meant the person himself. After all, there is a mutual hate going on between you two for some reason.

I just wait for about three seconds after entering a "dangerous" savehouse before saving. I think only Santa Maria's Beach garage ate my car twice, the rest didn't eat any of my vehicles.

Now it's confirmed to be possible to enter the Santa Maria Beach safehouse without opening the garage door. I will always be doing so from now on, because it's better to be safe than sorry.

But does the garage door close whilst inside the safehouse? I think this has to do with where the interiors are located. If a safehouse interior is located directly above the garage (no matter the height), the garage door won't close, and the vehicles inside will be deleted after saving and reloading. Keep in mind that just saving, exiting the safehouse without reloading, and subsequently saving somewhere else does NOT affect vehicles. Only if you save in one of the "dangerous" safehouses (the Santa Maria Beach isn't considered one anymore, but still requires some caution, like the Hyman Condo) and reload the Save File are they deleted.

New page. Better quote after all.

The only interior I can think of that is directly above a save garage (almost, the garage is offset a little) is the Johnson's garage on Grove Street. In the context of special vehicles, I am unaware of any issues with the Grove garage.

However, I have repaired a handful of legitimate saves over the years with very strange vehicles stuck in the Grove garage. Vehicles that couldn't possibly fit inside, and never spawned, and couldn't be removed by opening and closing or over-stuffing the garage.

I spent quite a bit of time observing the Hashbury garage from a remote camera I had placed below while CJ made flybys above with a Maverick or entered and exited the interior, I was trying to recreate a trick to transfer immunity flags from one vehicle to another without success - possibly because watching it changed the conditions. The door object gets removed when CJ is out of range, but that doesn't matter at all - it's just an object that the engine is manipulating. But the door sound continues for the standard time, the vehicles remain suspended in air as the exterior despawns, and the vehicles always get saved. The greatest risk of losing vehicles that fell through the low detail environment was when the door opened in a low LOD environment. And of course, saving before the door closes will empty the garage. My overall impression was that it's really tough to lose vehicles intentionally while they are being watched by a remote camera.

Clarification: If you think of the save garage door in the same way as an invisible impound garage door, the timing process of the save garage door is the same even when CJ isn't around.

We have enough of the SAME Videos already...

He does that, though. Instead of experiencing other GTA's and Special Vehicles, he just continues playing SA and RE-RECORDING the same Videos from months/years ago. Nothing new here, really, so there is no reason to keep posting what is ALREADY IN THE GUIDE...

Plenty of people shown these things already...

Isn't the one you can get on High Stakes, Low-Rider (Cesar's Savanna) AP too? I just got it and bullets won't work, don't know about fire-explosives though. Even then it should be included in this list.
