I've put a note on the download that some people have been banned for it and to use it with caution. I'll be investigating what could have caused this.

 

Also. For all those who did use it, did you all inject with manual mapping? or just native injection? If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you probably used Native Injection, which is likely the reasoning for the ban. If you all could reply with that info, that'd be great-- as this will help me to narrow-down the problem that resulted in the bans.

And what could be possibly causing this? Do you remember the first GTA O ban wave? It was because of a FOV mod. A simple, innocent FOV mod. While I understand that your script have the best possible interests, by R* eyes (and detection routines) it's just another mod not different from the various cheats menus out there.

 

I don't play GTA O, it's a very unbalanced game and built in around the idea of microtransactions, and if you want my opinion, what you're offering with this script should be provided by default by R*

Yes, I am well aware of that.

 

However. The anti-cheat checks the process for hooked modules via the module list. If you manual map the module properly, it will not show up in the module list. People got banned from FOV because it showed up in the module list because they used dinput8.dll which used LoadLibraryA .... Which will result in the module showing up on the module list. Which is exactly what the anti-cheat checks. Hence, the ban.

 

If people were properly manually mapping this, they should have been fine. Because the anti-cheat wouldn't have seen it.

Most times it is reset to $ 20K

That's right, most I've heard is after bans, people get reset to $20,000. However, for most people who 'mod', they are cheating and some of it was not legit. There's a possibility that if it was all clean (every single bit of it) that you might be OK. But I cannot guarantee this.

 

Also so far, I can confirm that there is indeed no new anti-cheat in this regard, the bans were simply due to people not manual mapping, even if only once. Although I'm sure people will take a break from using this after their bans, I will continue to update it most likely and the next update (1.9), will have default settings to keep you as secure as possible from the anti-cheat, with manual mapping as a standard / default setting. So far, no one who has strictly manual mapped has been banned. And this is because the anti-cheat won't see it.

I think it's amazing that you stepped up to do this, @ClareXoBearrx3R9. I'm looking over what this can go in the limited time I'm able to, and this most certainly seems extensive. If Rockstar hasn't contacted you regarding this yet, then they're not a competent developer at all. And to be competent, you need to properly manage ALL components of your game, including security and anticheat.

 

I'm having some difficulty, however, and I'm hoping you can help.

In the end, I think alt-tabbing is the main cause for issues, Will PM you if I get more issues.

Yes, you will need to inject it each time you open the game. The most important thing, is to make sure you set the injection type to Manual map, otherwise it will show in the module list and risk a ban. that's wierd, because so far, guess many ppl use the fov mod online because R* still havent fixed the fov.

And i personaly use flawless widescreen ( because unlike the fov mod in do not create lttle bug when chanfinf 3rd perso fov, and no issue till there. )
