Spent a thousand to buy fake bullsh*t in a gaming mode that will be cut off within the next 5-10 years.

See here's the thing--whatever discretionary income one has should be spent in a manner that makes said person happy. What this guy did, wouldn't be the way you'd roll. Cool. For him, it was worth it.

Good for you OP. People always gonna judge. I'm surprised this thread isn't worse. Personally I wouldve advised spending it a bit slower, maybe one megladon at a time but hey power to you man.

Meanwhile, there are starving children in distant countries

There are starving children in this country. And kids who wont get a Christmas present this year.

Glad OP has his priorities straight.

Totally b.s. response. Trillons of dollars each year are spent on non-essentials but this is where you get sanctimonious and draw the line?

There's starving men, women, and children in many countries, regardless of distance. What's your point?

My point is he should donate to charities instead of buying shark cards. Just because it's his money doesn't mean he's allowed to spend it on things he wants, duh. Haven't you even heard of an appeal to emotion?

Who are you to judge what he does with his money? What is this relative to? With this philosophy, especially regarding a small amount of money such as this, literally ANYTHING in excess should be voided and donated to charity.

"You have a gaming console and play GTA.... How dare you! You should have donated this to charity!"

"You bought a new stock $10,000 car instead of a $7,000 used car... How dare you! You should have donated this to charity!"

"You paid thousands of dollars for college tuition.... How dare you! You should have donated this to charity!"

"You're going on vacation.... How dare you! You should have donated this to charity!"

"You pay for hot water... How dare you! You should have donated this to charity!"

We all spend our money on different things to different extremes. His purchase is irrelevant to his morales and ethics. Your comments are ignorant and most likely hypocritical.

I rarely comment on things unrelated to GTA on these forums, but dumb comments posted by idiots like yourselves annoy the hell out of me.

OT: enjoy your new money!

Seriously, people spend their money and time on all sorts of various bs. Many people would say playing GTA and posting on a video game forum is a waste of time and money as well which makes it kinda ironic to me that he's judging this kid but I'm sure society would judge him as well.

How the hell did you get an Xbox One for 100?

Yeah this is the sticking point. You're enough of a bargain hunter to get an XB1 for $100 but you either rich or stupid enough to blow $1000 on shark cards? These two do not add up.

while i do think it's weird as all hell that he spent that much on shark cards (as you can see from my first post in this thread), it's still his money

like, if he wants to blow it all on shark cards, then that's on him.

all the people losing their sh*t about it are just morons trying to dictate what somebody do with their own money, really

......but damn tho OP, you could'a bought a TV

Commerce flows.

The $1,000 went to R*. It will be disbursed and continue flowing, some of it likely ending up in charities.

OP, thank you for supporting future DLC, and your likely donation to charities via the flow of commerce.

Keeping money in a mattress is the only surefire way to prevent it from going to any charities. Invest !

while OP already spent big buck , suggestion : do not " burn " all of your cash too quick , you might need at least few million for the future

Ok let me explain this again I went on criaglist bought 100$ Xbox one plus shipping fee LAST month this month my mom called me telling me she will send 500$ to me for Christmas for I. Had already 500$ in my account(which was a surprise)other family members had already sent me gifts like clothes and other stuff so I had contemplated going back in to online last time my bank account (online) only had 100,000$ I was bad at money making

It doesn't make sense to be frugal with one thing and go all out in another.

The fact that you mentioned the xbox is beyond believe.

Only time I used a cash card was when I won one off of 4chan...

...For that money you could've bought a PS3/360, found a modder to give you hundreds of millions, and then transfered to PS4/XBOX ONE and still have $750 left...

...Or even spent that money on a PC and directly cheated yourself some mad $$$.

Don't get me wrong, I'm maniac when it comes to spending money on sh*t I like too (budget for my next PC is into four figures in US dollars, so go figure), but you done f*cked up this time. At least a part of that money went to the devs to make a new DLC, so congrats.

Also

>you live in US

Your English f*cking horrible for someone who lives in the US.

If it had been me, I would've contacted Rockstar first to see if they could make a special deal. Each larger Shark Card gets you proportionately more GTA$ for your dollar, so if you were willing to spend $1,000 at once, I feel you should've gotten more than $80mil GTA$.

In fact, you should contact them now and see if they can still do it. They can probably credit the bonus amount to your account.

Damn, spending 1k on sharkcards? Im sure Rockstar will be happy to make an update just for you

(If they do tell them to add a DMC-12 or a CLK GTR styled car)

Lol the jetpack in san andreas was $60 million. Based on gta online inflation it would be $600 million congrats you have just over 1/10 of the amount for it. XD

So I been inactive in online since it came out on Xbox one and PS4 because I didn't have a either but I did have a 360 I recently bought an Xbox one for 100$ and GTA5 for 20$ my mom give me 500$ For Christmas and i added mine and overall I feel empty still I'm a "low" level(95) it's like I miss a big part of the fun have bought anything yet with it

This is the prime example of people I have decided to avoid by not playing this game. And this game is becoming more and more oriented toward this audience with every new update.

Underage squeakers, big time lunch-money spenders, mom-bangers, street-raised gangsters. Bad sport from 2013 is the new regular in 2015.
