Is it possible to replace audio files (i.e. radio stations)? I know the station files are MP3s, but has anyone tried replacing a radio station with some other MP3 file?

It seems to use the same format as III/VC/CTW (some kind of special MP3 file; regular MP3's won't work). I ended up copying over the GTA III version of K-JAH and it worked perfectly fine. As for your own MP3 files, I believe there is a program that converts MP3's to the correct format for the mobile GTA's, but I don't remember where to find it.

I remember SpooferJahk did MSX FM for GTA 3D once, and I got it in GTA 3 Mobile with no problems.

I've just put an Avicii mp3 in it (VC) and worked just fine. Probably it has something to do with the bitrate.

I am not sure if someone posted or mentioned this, but... the iOS files DO have the infamous Mini Cooper model!

I have used The Hero's Amazing RW File Converter. I keep looking at the game files in case I find something else. There is bullion.DFF, but it is empty (only has a dummy) :panic:

Exactly, I didn't notice it was also mentioned and shown in another thread about LCS Beta. I have now posted there aswell - http://gtaforums.com/topic/696980-the-beta-topic/page-8?do=findComment&comment=1068371593

 

It's really a shame that it looks so atrocious :cry: And no sign of another beta vehicles so far.

It would have been looking better if it was a pickup, in my opinion. Anyways probably that's why R* didn't use it.

Holy crap, it's ugly as a sin. :OHis exist only means that is leftover of beta project, not a big deal, but maybe digg up deeper for more expierience; ) The same names you can researching in PS2 files, if you dont believe it, check yourself Edited by denis1379

I've been digging through .pvr files and I found something very interesting. Developers who ported this game to mobile devices "borrowed" some textures from GTA3 Xbox mod. Back in 2009, pearcyp (GTA3 HD project founder) has sent me a big collection of high quality textures that he made from scratch, so that I could use them for my Xbox mod. Turns out, a lot of his work ended up in LCS. I even found some textures that I've made myself!

 

Here's one example. I find it very funny that developers didn't even bother to change the date at the bottom of the poster. As you know, Liberty City Stories events take place in 1999, therefore "2009 July" doesn't make any sense.

Nah, this is where you send a few PIs to Dan and Sam's houses with the C&D letter and then sue them before they have a chance to fix things. ;)

That's.. nasty. They basically stole mods for use in a game being sold..

 

Oh well. Not to mention the carcols.dat still has this:

Reminds me of when Vice City and San Andreas finally got officially localized in Russia, it was right before IV got released on PC, IIRC. Those guys responsible for the translation simply took the fonts textures from the fan-made localization project. They even didn't remove the translators team logo in the corner.
