Is "The Job" the most underrated GTA heist ever?

If you think about it, it probably is, since no one talks about it. The GTA V heists and "Breaking the Bank At Caligula's" are everywhere now. What do you think?:blink::blink:

I love the whole bank robbery mission strand because of how ridiculous it is. It's basically Tommy deciding he wants to rob a bank and the extent of his planning is watching a couple of movies. The people he works with are hilarious. You're going in there with Gary Busey, a Kleptomaniac and a driver with abandonment issues. Don't get me wrong, how well-thought out the heists are in GTAV is amazing but there's just something enjoyable about The Job and how it doesn't take itself seriously.

I think a lot of why the mission is underrated is because it isn't really a standout mission in Vice City. When people think of VC they think of killing Diaz or the final mission. GTAV is all about heists and pretty much the only enjoyable mission in Las Venturas is the casino job so it comes to mind straight away.

Algonquin Assassin

"The Job" is my favourite heist just after Three Leaf Clover.

The most underrated has to be "The Getaway" in GTA III. Unlike other heists, we get stuck being the getaway driver, something we're not used to being. It's the opposite side of the spectrum. Depending on how many mobsters come out alive, which is another neat feature about it, the heist could've been clean-cut or something completely unexpected happened. We always know what happens, but this time it's left up to the imagination on how well it went and how exactly it went down.

That's true ClaudX, those gunman seemed professional. That mission was actually really well done. I showed up in a Pony, the two guys stormed out of the back and into the bank, you hear screams and gun fire, which makes me think they killed someone to make the teller think they're serious. Claude isn't the Claude of 92, he's a much better driver now, and shows it by getting the crew back to base. ;)

The Job is a bitch because of the preparation, especially on mobile devices. Phil's hard to impress in the shooting range. Breaking the safecracker out of prison was difficult as a kid, not so much now. :p

The actual mission is fantastic though. I can see why you'd think it's underrated.

Back in the day I hated the missions leading up to it (The Driver and The Shootist) but now I can breeze through them fine and it's quite a fun time although the whole situation is pretty comical; psychopathic killer teams up with moonshine drinking war veteran, overweight neurotic driver with mommy issues and a kleptomaniac safe cracker to rob the SWAT retirement fund armed with nothing more than MP5's and a taxi. Also Rosenberg:

"Tommy this stuff keeps you sharp man! woooooo! Hey I could be your stick up man! Stick em' up stick em' up!"

"You ain't a stick up man you're an idiot!"

I showed up in a Pony,

This is another great detail in the mission. All that's left for the set-up is up to us. We aren't required to choose a certain vehicle, or given one, so we have to use our imagination. You have to decide, can you see the gunmen using a van or a car?

Although, you are limited somewhat, as you can't use the Coach. "Find something more inconspicuous", my arse. That would've made it the heist of the century.

Pffft, the most underrated heists are the 2D Universe heists. No one remembers jacksh*t about them.

Basically because they were just pick up and drop off missions with a four-head wanted level. Intense, sure, but that all came from the possibility of running into a police roadblock with machine guns. There was never any set-up; indeed you were generally just randomly told that someone needed to be picked up NOW and get your ass over there. You were never even told there was a heist going on.

It was a nice mission. I loved all the preparations by getting the crew together and i also loved that you can decide if Cam Jones survives or not.

But it really didn't felt like a heist, it was way to fast and the cop chase didn't last too long.

Yeah, I liked it a lot. It also was the first one with the concept of "Setups".

Ma-mothers-Ma-Sister

It was very random but funny. "Cam Jones I'm busting you out!"

"Whatever you say" 😂 epic lines leading upto the heist.
