Criminal mastermind is the best way to get this boat. It is common knowledge that you have to capitalize on the money you already have. But since r* is keeping bawsaq for themselves its just grinding heist and missions. So yeah basically you're screwed.

this is all becoming rather tangential and hot

It doesn't really matter. You're on a boat, and they're not. Let's face it, women love long hair, guitars and boats and soft rock ballads and sitting on a bareskin rug by a fire, taking all your money. These are the things we're thinking about right now while we listen to this music.

It's hardly free though. I mean. It is in the sense that you don't really HAVE to spend real money on it. But you do have to spend an absurd amount of time if you take that route. The Shark Cards are just unbelievably stupid. There's no way Rockstar could get away with selling this DLC using the same model they do for the Shark Cards. Even just selling a yacht as a DLC on it's own in that case would add up to over $100. When it should be under $20 realistically.

That is exactly what I am talking about. You have to pay for DLCs one way or another. R* does not owe you several years worth of DLCs and service for no compensation whatsoever. A free DLC just lets you choose how to do it, either directly by paying for shark cards or indirectly by participating in the game and earning ingame money which keeps other players invested who in turn pay for shark cards. Arguing that free DLC is not free because you still have to do something is just confirmation that you do not understand how the deal works or are just not willing to uphold your part of the bargain. You want to save $100 in shark cards by getting paid for having fun for a couple of hours. You are not entitled to a yacht just because it was added as content. That is not how it works. That is not how it can work. Your "vigilante" money modders are actively harming the business model that lets us all enjoy GTA Online in the first place.

@OP

No one will disagree that the payouts we receive could not use a buff

But saving money is not that hard, It takes time and patience with added restraint not to buy everything at once

I have been playing since day 1, I have/had a total of 7 usernames on the PS3 and was able to transfer 5 of them to the PS4 the highest rank on any of the accounts are 160, 3 of the 5 usernames i play under on the PS4 can afford a yacht the 8mil one with 99% of the most expensive upgrades 1 of the other 2 has about 2 mil in the bank and the other has only 100k and is a lowly level 10 with just a ten car garage to live in

Use these forums to learn how to make money, (just like u have learned in this thread about the Blue sentinels, and there is a load of other cars that spawn that sell for double the price of a Baller, on the PS4 i keep a the cheap 10 car garage(south shambles) full of these type of vehicles just to sell every 45 minutes,

Create your second Character and use it to do Daily Objectives once you get to level 10 or 12 this can add quick 50k+ to your account as you can do them under both characters.....i am not sure about selling cars under both Usernames (the cool down timer got applied to both characters while i was still on the ps3 so i assumed it appplied to the ps4 as well), But i still can get double Simeon export lists

as you already know Rockets and insurgents pays well, But farming it over and over and over can get boring and mundane, so switch it up,

If you have 4 close friends start a private lobby with the 5 of you, you will get access to all of the free mode events that pays out ok, but be careful some of them can get costly to in ammo expenses

Once you get your cash to 1 mil register as a VIP and with your friends in a private lobby select a VIP job and do it, My wife and I both play together, Both of us registered as VIPs and would take the VIP jobs and we allowed the other to do the job unharmed and without delay ...it was quick easy money .......I know we can hire bodyguards and play as body guards....at this time i am not sure what this will offer in terms of money but you can bet i will keep an eye on it

Keep track of what pays well and how many players were with playing the job, For the Longest time i completely avoided DM/TDMs simply because at my age(53) i had a bitch of a time playing against younger players who could jump, then role and shoot the hair off a gnats ass, It was Rockets and Insurgents that got me into these, and i found if 8 or more are playing its a fun low cost way to make money, But watch out if the match is set to "Owned weapons" the ammo costs comes out of your payday (it did on the ps3 anyway)

Now I play a lot of TDMs and yes there are some trashy ones out there..remember those also...

Yes I dropped almost 10 mil on a Yacht Last night and it damn near wiped me out of cash under that username, (just over 600k left) but i played for a couple of hours doing the things i enjoyed and my account was back to just over a mil,

I was surprised that the Yachts were priced as low as they were, since the game had been out 3 years and all of the hacks and glitches they we have seen, when saw the release trailer about the update i figured they would start off costing 10 to 15 mil and go up.........and i was really surprised when i saw what was included with the Yachts.......the 8mil yacht comes with other vehicles = Helicopter and watercraft that would cost you 5 mil if you purchased them separately

Again, I am not sure how long you have been playing, But these forums are a great way to learn money making tips, Yes there are some assholes here, but a lot of them know how to make money legit so be willing to read give it a try ......

modders can fast track your bank, Glitches can to, But as one of the first group of players to receive modded money (1 bil) it can take a lot of fun out of the game, the same with glitches.....

I will start working on the Money for Yachts or something else for my other user names and i can say for me, I have more fun earning the money and saving till i get what i want than i do using it over the long haul of the game........My Yacht last nigh was fun to goof around on (just figuring out how to get around on the damn thing) But i know it will soon become a item i own that i may just spawn in to go play the game

Just over a day of grinding for one of the most expensive things in game? Sounds pretty reasonable to me. OP must be part of the instant gratification generation. Damn kids don't understand working and saving for nice things.

So, in conclusion, if you save for a yacht legitimately, you're an idiot.

If you buy enough Shark Cards to afford one, you're an idiot.

In either scenario, you're a masochist.

So basically you`re a bitch... bitching.

Basically, you've made a thread calling anyone who's bought a yacht an idiot, right? Not sure this is going to go down well. *grabs popcorn*

I think i'm one of the idiots who is going to save for the most expensive yacht. Only have 420k right now! I could pay it with one day of my actual income, but where is the fun in that? You need to do hard work in getting a thing like that. ;-)

These are the the people that are bored 2 min after the DLC comes out... I have everything it's boring.... R* give us x, y ,z

I like the grind, I like the idea that I have to work for something in the game, it gives me a reason to play and that is actually what R* are aiming for not just profit from cards but a game that lasts and keeps people playing.

If you get your money illegitimately with mods, you're a vigilante and everyone should be more like you.

This has been Pleasance13 of the "Idiot" category. Take care, and Sagan be with you.

people had their own taste/choices . if they buy a golden jet , go ahead i don't mind

if they're planned/buying a expensive yacht , again go ahead ( even i planned to buy my own yacht because it's my money )

" Listen , should i buy megalodon cash card or not ? " again go ahead . it's your money , you do what you want in San Andreas

and for money-earning method , i don't mind with any method ( be it in-game , virtual currency purchase or unfair advantages ) . but in case for unfair advantage , you'll be taking responsibility for breaking rules

for legitimate way , it takes an effort to gain what you've desired in the game , so no pain no gain

...In my time playing Grand Theft Auto Online, I have found that a job such as "Insurgents vs RPGs" or similar player-made TDMs are one of the quickest, most low-effort ways of earning a decent amount of cash. Some jobs pay better, but the effort level is much higher, or the time required for is much longer...

You don't want to put forth the time or the effort, but you want the nicest things in the game... I can't tell if you're a troll or an entitlement kiddie that's salty about not getting his participation trophy.

you totally missed the point! this is not WoW! this is a ridicolous economy system.

everyone willing to defend rockstar with this sh*t deserves nothing but punishment and slavery from the ones they so blindly obey!

LOL. I play this game at my liesure. I do not grind and I spend way too much time in free roam defending myself and modding cars. Despite this, when this DLC dropped, I had enough money to buy three yachts. This "ridicolous economy system" is world renowned. Put forth the time and effort and reap rewards. The only people that have a problem with it are the people that are unwilling/unable to invest both.

I haven't played gta online in a long time.... so i don't know what the fastest method is for getting money. So i have to go along with the OP's 30 hour theory thingy. But I'm not surprised by this. Rockstar is out to get your money, and all these "free" updates are technically free, but they take up so much of your time if you're somebody who grinds for money to buy all the new stuff.... or is a lot of cases, people will buy shark cards... which is what R* is trying to entice out of players.

With that said, lets not forget the game has been out for over 2 years now. I don't think somebody having over $10,000,000 makes them an idiot.

As someone that has earned his way, I don't feel bad for you OP.

I can enjoy the spoils of blowing millions on a yacht because unlike you, I played the countless hours required.

You break it down with math as if you expect everything that entertains you to "pay you the maximum per hour of your time".

When you watch sports, do you also break down how much an hour the sports team values you?

Should I go to the Destiny forums and tell the guys that have been playing the game from day one that I should get the same benefits they have in a fraction of the time?

I'd expect them to laugh real hard at me.

If you think a video game company isn't fair, well wait until you get a load of the real world.

You think you are being devalued for you time? Wait until you grow up.

That's the problem. Said player would have had to actually play the game for more than a couple of hours. That player's gratification was not instantaneous. That is completely unacceptable. Everyone should have equal access to everything the game has to offer regardless of how much time and effort they've invested. Barring that, R* needs to make everything easier, make everything cheaper, or increase payouts so that everyone can obtain everything with minimal effort.

This is stupid I already work & grind my ass off to get real money in the real world & now I'm forced to do it on a videogame as well.

I'm not going to waste my time staring at some clouds waiting for a dumb Snipers vs Aliens Death Match to start just so I can afford an overly priced yacht. 3million$ max would have been at least a bit more sensible imo

the OP is 100% right and his thinking applies to real life too. just the other day i saw an item i wanted to purchase but couldn't afford. obviously my first thought was "i'll have to save for a while and maybe do without a few everyday luxuries in order to save the money more quickly." how gald i am that instead of this i just stole the wallet of every senior citizen i saw coming out of a nearby post office. loving my new diamond encrusted keyfob btw.

attempts at joking aside we don't have to buy everything in the game. some sh*t is expensive, that is what it costs. the value of an item is determined by the purchaser. cheaters are cheaters, regardless of half assed justifications for their "me me me, me first, i want it now now Now NOW." attitude. cheat if you want but don't come round here expecting an "attaboy".

Exactly. I mean, I don't care that the OP wants to buy his way to opulence, I think its cool that R* gives you that option through their Shark Cards system.

Is it a rip-off, real money for fake money? Sure, but if its not my money, do whatever you want with yours. My issue is having to whine and doing math and all that dumb sh!t.

I saved my money or became frugal in the hopes they would someday release Mansions.

Didn't get a "mansion" but did get a cool yacht, (I wasn't even excited about until I saw the R* trailer), lets say we wouldnt have gotten anything I liked in this DLC, i would've been disappointed but then just set my sights on making another 10M.

Which would mean more of the same, Heists, Mission grinding...fun? Not all the time.

But at least I'd be prepared.

Now if you just picked the game up, lucky you, the DLC wont go away and you can get that $10M quicker than when I had to back in 2013-2014. You know before there were these things called Heists which can make you a lot of money with some effort and great teammates.

A lot of us were millionaires before Heists because we dumped hours into playing it.

Good luck, earning or paying your way to the top.

I dunno, I'm trying to be chilled about the whole yacht buying thing.

What everyone should do is keep a minimum amount of GTA$ in their bank account for whatever Rockstar throw at us in the future. My minimum limit is about 4 million. So, if I ever have 12 million in the bank I'll consider buying the 8 million dollar yacht, simple as that.

Telling everyone they're "idiots" for buying a yacht is very immature. Mature adults can buy GTA dollars with micro-transactions if they want something that bad.

So the life lesson today Is that we are all idiots because we make money without the use of glitches? or maybe Its all about the modder master race?

Or OP just joined 2 weeks ago and already made the typical newfag topic that might be locked within 24 hours?

Friends are finaly pulling their sh*t together instead of farting around and were going to do Criminal Mastermind Challenge on the heists which requires no one dying. completing with same team, 10 million dollar payout.

Even then I doubt I want the yacht cause hype will die down and Ill be all alone on it, But for those that need the money, where theres a will theres a way

Last I checked the only thing you can buy with real money in Destiny is cosmetic emotes. I haven't played since the Sparrow Racing though, so maybe they're selling exotics for all I f*cking know.
