It's amazing how many of these monkey mask idiots will keep trying to fly over or swim onto the yacht. I like to wait until they are almost aboard before sniping. It's also fun to lean on the rail and watch their corpses fly after repeatedly walking into the same proximity trap.

This almost happened to me today... a random guy invited me to his yacht and I joined along with another person. Then he forced us out while the defences were up. I went up to the middle level and the other guy and the owner were in the hot tub. Then suddenly the owner turned off the defences, shot him and then turned defences back on. He was then going to come for me but I went running to the other end of the yacht. The other guy then respawned on the beach and started trying to snipe us (he somehow thought I was in on it). I ended up going into passive and the other guy managed to kill the owner.

OMG just play the f'ing game. If someone figures something out, rather than coming on here to whine to people, how about dealing with it or at least not acting like it's the end of the world?

 

It's ridiculous how much people come on here to complain. If you don't want to use every play in the playbook, that's fine but don't come on here and be all upset when someone does. OMG, the AA cannons on the yacht are overpowered and I'm going to throw a temper tantrum because I can't grief boat owners in my hydra, omg someone fooled me when they gave me a yacht invite, omg someone went passive when they got the HPV so I couldn't troll them, omg I was annoying the F out of someone in passive and they came out of passive and wasted me, omg the homing launcher is OP, omg blahblahblahblahblah etc etc etc.

I'm sure the yacht will be nerfed because of all the crying to R*. If you try to come on my boat that I worked hard for without asking and enjoy that experience for free, you're damn right that if I feel like it I might just be an:

2. Why would that offend anyone? Two random men getting into a hot tub together can been seen as homosexual (gay). Same as if a man and a female got into a hot tub could been seen as heterosexual (straight). You are over reacting, poppafewpills shown no signs of being a homophobe.

the guy who originally posted was expressing unpopular old world ideas. Things that aren't usually said in public anymore. No idea where he is from, but in the area of the world in which I reside, he would be shouted down early and loudly as has happened here.

 

also - not sure how getting into a hottub with people has anything to do with sex. Many hotels i've been to have them right by the pool. All manner of people get in them including children. If there is someting sexual about the hottub then we have a problem here...

Im sure the homosexual comment was tongue in cheek , done out of humor, It didn't bother me.

In GTAO, if there is any doubt there is no doubt, kill or be killed, accept a random invite, expect it to be hostile.

Agreed, I would've done it too. I made this post cause Im pissed that I get harassed on this forum for working on my K/D ratio and I read post after post how everyone should be more friendly and how great this yacht is for getting players together on a friendly level

 

For five minutes Im talked against my senses and lost two lives of mine that I have to make up for. I got killed in the hot tub and I got killed when I had to get my ass back to shore

 

Stealthflight is right all along, Ive been telling you guys/gals this the whole time that this game will never be Second Life but many wont listen, I hope this post convinces

 

This trick will work for awhile but people will catch on and then soon no one wil accept the yacht invites anymore

You don't have to make up those lives, that toxic K/D mentality is, in that case Im glad you got trolled and hope it happens more

I watched someone do something similar on their yacht last night when they had a couple people on board... followed by me sniping him a couple times from the beach until he turned the defenses back on. He ended up leaving the session after a couple of us barricades him on his yacht with Hydras just outside the no-fly zone.

 

I never trust anyone who send invites to apartments. I remember the first invite I accepted the guy got a good chunk of the lobby in and kicked us all out where we walked into the waiting arms of a firetruck cannon, killing everyone (this was back in the day where passive mode players could die by a firetruck). Now whenever I accept an apartment or yacht invite, I go into passive and just chill. If not on passive, you have to be on your guards and makes having a good time impossible.

I honestly question when I can ditch passive mode completely and not get gunned down for no reason. I doubt it's going to be anytime soon.

This. Always turn on passive before starting a heist finale or accepting invites to properties or anything else involving otherwise relying on the goodwill of random people. One can never be too careful.

WARNING ! theres a shady new trick yacht owners are doing. They give out invites to the whole lobby. Once players are in they ask everyone to leave the yacht where they are forced to walk outside onto deck.

 

Defenses are down/ weapon wheels are disabled on every player so everyone is friendly and chill, We all get into the hot tub and have fun

 

Yacht owner suddenly takes defenses down and a friend of his bombs the whole hot tub killing everyone in there instantly. At least 8 of us died, Others around the pool were gunned down. Yacht owner then puts defenses back up so no one can take revenge.

 

I took the chance to trust and chill and be friendly for the first time from everyone here encouraging me to try it out and that's what I get, lol

 

Time to go back and treat the whole map like a death match, Im done with being lured in for friendly role play. Im done, ill never be convinced this game can have friendly get togethers , no way, no how, nor ever.
