WARNING, Shady new trick Yacht Owners are doing...

@Music man, that's cool, reminds me of a Halloween house in a upper class neighborhood that went all out. they converted their entire driveway and garage (upper class home so this was impressively sized) to different themes (like mad scientist lab, pirate ship etc ) . and took them on tours on Halloween trick or treat night to all kids who came up to ask for candy. Many kids from poor neighborhoods caught on about this house and they would drive up to visit.

 

Their whole set up cost thousands of dollars and they all did it themselves. All the kids that visited got extra out of it. They really went out of their way to give the kids in the neighborhood and those outside their neighborhood a good time.

@Arachne, I get it, Im just jelly when I look back on it, I would've loved to attempt that trick before I fell for it.

Im a regular at gunning people down when they exit from apartment invites. I blow them up too. I only get about 3-4 kills per invite, one time 5

Wouldve loved to be the hot tub bomber, I never got 8 kills at once, At most Ive only done 6. I really should up my game. (making personal note to find and conspire with a yacht owner before most players catch on)

Heaven forbid people actually try to use yachts for fun instead of for K/D padding or for murdering people who don't expect it. Christ. You know, I got an invite to an Organization today and I joined the VIP's yacht only for a couple of the bodyguards to slice me with a helicopter's rotor blades for fun and send me spinning in the ocean.

 

It took me popping out of their Organization and spawnkilling them with a shotgun like half a dozen times apiece before they finally ran inside the yacht to hide.

 

 

on the plus side, I got a sweet snapmatic of me standing on top of their yacht like "hell yeah, I own this sh*t".

That's not really a new trick. I only accept apartment/garage invites from people I know. There have been glitches to slaughter people inside properties from time to time and some people are just... creepy.

@Captain, social experiment? I think so, this yacht has brought out so many emotions, so many players want it and associate it with being rich and superior.

Now Ive discovered others are using it to trick and to maim but all in pretend

 

But in both cases, whether you want it to show off or to kill, its all in our inner drive to one up eachother and climb up darwins ladder. Whether flaunting money or K/D, humanity is a competitive beast. Hence the popularity of PVP or role play gaming.

Someone should film it. My hot tub session was kinda sexy. Two pretty ladies in white bikinis and I had stag antler tattoos on my back and my chest. If I had my police cap on, I wouldve looked like a Village Man, lol . So I kept my eyes out for the other guys in the tub making sure none of them hit on me.

Sudden explosion, that bomb literally took my face off. My face was a blackened reddened mess and the two ladies next to me died. Im going to stop there, Glad this is just role play.

 

But yeah someone should film that.

I joined this dude's organisation as a bodyguard for the first time on Tuesday to see how the whole thing works.

 

So, we held back the attackers on the Yacht sucessfully but once we were done he does a bitch move on me and starts moving me down with his minigun, then his other friend does the same. Both got me a couple times until I got off radar, jumped ship and swam away. No point in even turning on passive mode or fighting back.

 

Got to get them cheap kills I guess, it's pathetic. But yeah, that pretty much sums up the way people been behaving since the update dropped.

 

First and obivously last time I joined a random VIP's activity.

Lol it goes both ways. I keep having to fend off idiots messing around on MY yacht. Even if I keep killing them they often respawn on my Yacht.

 

So hell yeah I use the the defense thing to troll them till they leave.

 

Oh and sometimes I invite people to my yacht only to have them try and kill me!

 

This update reminded me why I use to always shoot any random on sight. I'll prolly start doing that again

Same as it ever was then. Passive is necessary when introducing yourself to strangers.

 

Yachts are dangerous. I just got done doing that VIP job Piracy something or other for the first time. There were two randoms who had their hydras blown to smithereens a couple of times by my yacht's missles. They gave up and were relaxing in the hot tub with my bodyguard and me. I became bored and started the VIP job not knowing what would happen. Next thing I know the two randos are kicked out into the water, I gunned them down like fish in a barrel. They kept coming though, sniping from the beach, spawning in helicopters, more people from the lobby started attacking too. My bodyguard and I each died once, but we were still managing to hold these bastards off. But for how long? More were coming and sh*t was getting hairy. I decided to pull out my mini gun, which I rarely do, and then the server crashed...goddammit.

 

 

Still best update yet IMO.

Not my cup of tea some of these yacht types . My Yacht isn't open to the public, but if you ask me and want to check it out, I'll invite you. No bullsh*t, no lies, no treachery.

 

Just chill times with defenses always up. So you best depart by boat.

Similar thing happened to me. I was half expecting something but I wanted to see the yacht interior.

 

One of them had put a proxy on the exit doorway, so I got blown up as I was forced to leave. However, I didn't get the usual WASTED! screen (presumably because it happened during the exit door animation), and I don't think it counted as a death. I was MGed within half a second of exiting, and this time I did get the death screen.

Went on a yatch with my friend, we got out and the owner was still inside, We stayed near the seasharks because the AA was'nt on, to protect us and so he doesn't think we would kill him as he got out the door. Then he put the defense on, we chill, we go in the tub. He stayed like 10 seconds and i said to my friend "Hmm i just realized something, we actually know when the AA is put on but not when it's put... " PAN my friend is dead and i was kinda expecting it, i shotgun his face and we both died. No revange for my friend tho.

 

So R*, please, you could put a timing on the screen just like passive mode and/or let the people on the boat know when AA is disable
