Ender_the_Great
I find that most of my flying now a-days is in support of friends and crew members. My most rewarding experiences aren't kills I get with my own rockets or cannons, but kills my passengers achieve from the side of my helicopter or from the rooftops I insert them on top of. KAWASAKI KX 500
how do you deal with the homing launchers?
DentureDynamite
Love it--great flying! Dang though; just wish you were on the PC; would have a blast hanging out with you improving those (my) Buzzard skills. Am still secretly wishing for the Little Willie in GTA Online... just the FP view and smaller footprint would be so much fun in-game. Hunter
Picking up friends and putting them on roofs/structures is actually a hugely overlooked aspect of helicopters. You need to be doing it with people who understand what you're trying to do though, so they need to know how you play. Once you've got it down though, it can help turn free mode battles in your side's favour. This is also a big strength of the Buzzard's - it can land quicker, and in smaller places. So it can pick up/drop off friends more quickly, and in a bigger range of places. I still do it (if there's anyone to do it with) when I fly the Savage, but obviously the Buzzard beats it in that area. DentureDynamite
Ender_the_Great
I do roof top insertions quite often for my crew members. Nothing beats the 1st person visibility of the buzzard for this task, either. Dodging homing missiles is a whole post on its own. However, I'll say this... For dealing with homing launchers I avoid getting in the middle of big groups, and I typically always keep my potential attackers in one direction so I always know where the attack is coming from, which is paramount to avoiding rocket deaths. There is a great video posted here in the forum recently that walks you through the mechanics of dodging missiles, I found that we use the same methods. I'll try to link to it later. The Lone Wanderer
I enjoy both offensive and supportive flying to dodge homing missiles I just get sick of the bullsh*t and go passive when in a heli other than the buzzard tho \/ Hunter
