What new yacht features would you like to see?

I'll preface this all by saying I am not complaining about this update. I think it's great. I just think this opens up opportunities for new features, as I am sure Rockstar will be rolling out new stuff in future releases.

 

I'll also say that while everyone wants to be able to drive the yacht, I doubt we will see that happen in GTA V. And I suspect that would open up entirely new levels of grieving, like players trying to beach their yachts to have their missile defense systems take out folks in the city.

 

But I have some ideas that I think would be cool to see:

 

The ability to remove the second helipad. Replace it with a pool or tennis court.

 

Mini games. There are a bunch in the game that no one bothers with, but why shouldn't we be able to play darts or arm wrestle on the yacht? People never play them now, but they might if they're the types to complain that there is nothing to do on their yacht.

 

Another game is some sort of driving range feature. Rich people hitting golf balls off the deck of their yacht is a cliché. Let's have a mini game to see who can drive theirs the furthest.

 

A bartender by the hot tub. Why not?

 

Fishing! I don't fish in real life. Video game fishing? Sign me up!

 

A small garage would be nice too, but it would of course require being close to land, so I'm meh about the idea.

* Yacht parties - DJ that takes requests, dancing NPC's that you can actually dance with (dance minigames etc), drinking games and game room(s). The dance floor is in front of the bar, with the floor temporarily turned into pulsating colourful squares (like in TBOGT). These only happen at night, and when your yacht 'hosts' a part every player in the session is given an automatic invite to join - no weapons allowed

 

* Ability to call a Pegasus vehicle (or any other air/water vehicle you own) and have it spawn on or next to your yacht

 

* As well as an air defence system, a proximity defence system to stop anyone approaching and boarding your yacht

 

* A dining room/galley so you can regenerate your health, or take snacks with you

 

* Helicopter pick up on land, that automatically flies you back to your yacht

 

* The ability to call in Merryweather support by boat, who will board and help you fight off invaders (assuming no proximity defence system is in place)

Seriously, bartender, captain that can move the thing for 25k, hot tub, helipads and pretty but useless rooms with showers, that's all we get.

I'm really dissapointed with lack of darts, bowling and pool (GTA IV had all that) it would suit just great on Yacht and give it's some more purpose.

In addition to what the others have mentioned, I'd like the ability to plan heists from the yacht so I can have five garages rather than four garages and an apartment.

Anti piracy fire hose like on freighters. Knocks people off of Seasharks and boats. Machine guns can work just as nicely, however.

A mini game called drunk shot roulette, where players take turns drinking while attempting to shoot someone (w/ the new revolver) with a target over their head. If they miss, they drink another shot (gets harder), move back further, and continue until there is only one winner left.

One problem I encountered today was getting stranded after I was invited aboard someone's yacht, once they left.

He had his vehicles locked.

So I pull out my phone, call the captain, he sends a boat, the icon appears on shore and from what I could see, a swim to my yacht would've been smarter.

So I try the helicopter, same thing, it's spawns next to the boat.

I just swam to shore instead.

Don't know that I will be accepting Yacht invites from randoms, if they leave me stranded and swimming for five minutes to reach the shore.

 

Then later on, I was in Banon Canyon area and I called the yacht-heli services and it spawned nowhere near me. It was a bit more inland but at that point, driving to Lesters airstrip would have saved driving time to the damn heli.

 

So yeah I'd prefer if the heli services worked more like the Pegasus delivery.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we cannot seem to remotely order the captain to move the ship to a new location, we have to be on the bridge. This blows and needs to be added.

Love the idea of mini games on the boat as well, and I honestly didn't realise that you couldn't plan heists on it until I just read a previous comment so that would be a useful feature to add too.

The only features I'd like to see are the ability to select certain Pegasus vehicles from it (air and sea craft)

And the ability to call the captain and get him to move it to another location if we're not on board
