It appears to be moving fairly quickly in that video. It also seems it under steers a little bit too. I'd place it under the top 6 muscle cars I think. Idk what the order for best muscle cars is. I think it's Dominator, Gauntlet, Blackfin, Dukes(?) and Sabre(?)

No.

It's Dominator,Blackfin,Dukes I think. The Gauntlet isn't so competitive since it has no spoiler.

This is all "best case scenario". Yeah, Dukes is fast, but it also has f*cked up physics so if you hit traffic for example the car basically stands on its nose every time, taking way longer to recover from a crash than most other cars. Racing without traffic is a good solution, but it also likes to flip wildly over lamp posts instead of just jumping them like most cars do.

Lap times in a vacuum mean nothing. How the car behaves fender to fender is what really matters most.

Broughy makes his stats based on timing of his driving always on same track?

Yes, it's modified version of Cutting Corners he made called Cutting Corners GP, it has a little bit of everything, short straights, long straights, fast corners, slow corners, a hairpin corner, he test each vehicle there under the exact same conditions.

I think he does a good number of fast laps on it, and then picks out the one that pretty much dead center in his testing as the average time for that car.

Note that he does mention that some cars are better for some circuits and others better for others, so circuits with a lot of long straights for instance vs circuits with a lot of short straights and slow corners.

For instance for city circuits in the Sports classics class he will always recommend the Stirling GT, for long straight circuits like airport circuits or freeway only point to point races he will recommend the Z-type, in other classes if the top 3 or top 5 are pretty close together he will mention that it doesn't really matter which one of those you choose that much, and you have to test out for yourself which one suits you best.

Yes, so you only know which car is best on that, or similar tracks. But usually he mentions the pros and cons for each car, along with a spreadsheet of the game codes, so it gives you an idea which tracks a certain car favours.

While I appreciate Broughy's effort, his results are anecdotal as best due to the nature of this game.

Going by Broughy's data, I should get wrecked in my Entity every time, seeing as how most players use Zentornos, Osirises or T20's now.

In reality, I can control the Entity well, better than I can control any other car, so I do quite well with it, beating out the "better" cars often.

In a race against someone with equal driving skill driving a better car? Well, the faster car would probably win...

...but that's the nature of racing.

You drive a car you're good with, not the best, fastest car available. You may get beaten sometimes by good drivers in faster cars, but NOBODY is going to win them all.

Besides, racing in this game is hard to take seriously. Most race hosts leave traffic turned on and you can never prevent assholes from ramming and spinning. Besides, lamp posts laying in the road can ruin anyone's perfect run.

@Caranage It's a shame that opinion is often invalidated by the multiple over the top opinions of fans of B. It's one I share with you, but even before when I explained that I was shouted down by no less than 4 or 5 people.

GTA isn't a serious racing game. You don't have to race against the self proclaimed best racers in the game to be considered a good racer yourself. If you go out and win almost every race you play... You're probably pretty good. So race what car you like and have fun. Their version of a perfect race seems boring if everyone has the exact same car every time.

He always calls his series a guide, not a cold hard law of the land, people should always make up their minds on which car they prefer themselves.

And you got to remember that a lot of his audience is either part of his crew, Nonchalant Dominance (NoDo), or in similar crews, which observe clean racing rules between their members, which means:

- no ramming other drivers to gain or defend a position

- if there's no room there's no room, don't force your way through, just wait for a gap

- stay till the end and keep racing even if you've been lapped several times by the leader

- no driving backwards and ramming other cars

- don't "shut the door" when turning into a corner if there a car on your inside attempting an overtake

- If you are knocked off the track, by accident, or by your own fault don't try to get back onto the track ASAP, wait for a good gap so other cars behind you don't ram you when you drive back onto the road

- if you do hit someone by accident, back off and wait till that person passes you again, even if it means letting other racers behind you pass you before that happens.

- blue flag rule, if the leader or other racers are going to lap you, move off the line as soon as possible and don't hinder them.

I've rarely seen NoDo racers in random races, often they either leave after one race or even during, getting fed up with the incessant ramming quite quick.

NoDo organized races from what I've seen on his stream and his video's always have traffic, catch up and slipstream turned off.

Oh, the hopeless narcissism of modders and try-hards. The car doesn't even look special compared to other muscle cars.

Sigh.

I don't care about top end so much as I do a car's handling. I think it'll be a fun car to drive, plus it'll look good beside my nightshade and blackfin. Really hoping we don't have to wait for the 25th, but I have a feeling we will.

Thought fun said to wait until this morning?

He didn't say anything. He just said to see what happens the next day, at the time tunables are usually updated. He did not reveal any solid time the Tampa would be released.

Not specifically referring to you, but the reason leakers don't bother with the community is because of people twisting their words and creating some speculations that was never mentioned by the leaker. Then when they're wrong, they'll start bashing the leaker, create a whole army, until the leaker is nowhere is be seen.

It happened with the leaker that leaked all the Executive DLC stuff, and the Festive Surprise. Everyone thought he was nuts! They berated him and that was that. Now that the DLC was released, he was being praised.

All of that is true. People are just too dumb to understand that Broughys videos are just to let everyone know what a car is capable of under ideal conditions. Which ones have to potential to be the quiclkest.

There will always be a certain car best for a driver/track/situation.

For example I tend to do better with cars with high speed/high acceration as apposed to high traction/good handling. Like the Dominator. Unless it is a flat track with 90* corners at the docks/sandy shores, then I do better with a Blade.

I would say that time to recover from a crash isnt a relevant senario to take into consideration however. If you are with a good group of racers, if you crash, you probably just lost the race anyways. IMO anyways.

Good stuff in this thread guys.

Cant wait for the Tampa!

Yep, definitely this. If you take the Schafter V12 for example, it came in around 9th place or something? It wasn't top 3 for sure in his test track. However, in his DLC analysis video, the Schafter was demolishing the other cars because the track had lots of straights and long smooth curves, allowing the Schafter to keep its high top speed. It was able to reach world records on that track.

The majority of random GTA races cam be won in alot of the slower cars simply because most randoms don't know how to drive. They miss braking points, ram, and dont take racing lines. Broughy's videos are a guide and in a serious racing crew the testing is important whe you are racing top level skill racers who are like minded. Every MDSB every curb boost everty corner matters along with skill and base performance of a car

I'm of the mind that until GTA has proper mirrors, it can't be taken seriously as a racer. I don't want to be punished because I "closed the door" on an overtaking car when I just didn't see him.

In circle track racing, you let other drivers know you're trying to get by by giving them a little tap. Can't do that in this game, because:

A) They don't notice a gentle nudge, or assume you're trying to wreck them

B) A gentle nudge intended is interpreted by the game as the force of a thousand wrecking balls and sends the recipient careening over a concrete barrier to an explosive death

Or C) All of the physics are imparted onto your car alone causing you to spin out even though you nudged with the front of your car

I'd love to race with people who have a bit of honor. Hard to find, and I'm not experienced enough wth clean racing to not piss off a crew.

I am heavily into pro touring muscle cars, and based on that sexy ass silver one posted earlier, I am inclined to do this one with larger rims as well.

Maybe buy two, one as a drag style car and one as a pro tourer.

I see a whole debate here about broughty video. Basically If you have slipstream and catchup ON, doesnt really matter which car you are choosing. I see the point of slipstream and catchup but they went over the top with them and they are awful in my opinion. Slipstream is literally the equivalent of a NOS boost and catchup makes your car going so slow when in first place. If you turn these off, you can still win a comet or a obey 9f for exemple in the sport class. But if you are racing against someone as good as you in a massacro or jester you will lose and broughty is just showing and testing that. Sometime he says that even though a car as a good ranking he does mention its harder to control.

I hope it´s not time limited. As pretty the most people I will be busy these days. It could be time limited if it was some kind of special christmas vehicle, the popemobile for example.

Why the hell would you want that?
Better question, who the hell made that?
Mercedes

and thats why, i hate Mercedes.

No offence but why is everyone crapping their pants over a crappy muscle car? We already have more than enough muscle cars and we need more super cars instead
