Forty
People there are 100 threads in this forum alone about what certain people want in GTA4. Well stop doing that. Don't you think someone has made one before? Christ, everyone has made one before. I'm sure your idea is spectacular, and it would make the game a joy to play...but it's 95% likely that the same idea has been posted sometime between now and October of '02. Every couple of days there is a new one, and it gets one or two replies, and begins its way towards the bottom. It's cluttering the forums up with useless information. Find a related thread and mention your idea there if it's just killing you trying to keep it bottled up. If you must tell someone, do it there. A new thread is not necessary for every stroke of genius you are blessed with. That is all. Thank you, and happy hunting.

The forums are getting littered with wishlists for the 'New GTA'. I still don't think 'New GTA threads' will come to an end, though. The only thing that can be done is for the Mods to warn the offenders and even delete new topics. I'll just reitterate something: If you've got a new idea for the new gta..post it in the current topics..don't make a new topic! Later The Precinct - We're upping our standards, so up yours! Gr Moff Matt
Quote from me: And by popular demand (from one person), the new 'What do you think should' and 'What are you favorite' section! What Do You want in the next GTA... --- My Discovery Resource. Links to other discoveries and a new section about gta 4. If you want to add to a wishlist, add to the one linked on my Discovery Page! SolidCheat
The only thing I could think of is to make a sticky topic where people just keep pumping in ideas, or something along those lines.
Gr Moff Matt
I think the Discovery Page would make a better pinned topic. If all the ideas are already taken into one big topic, that belongs to someone else, the ppl will feel as if they are being ruled like a hierarchy. Even the n00b's like to stand back from a topic and go.. ahhh, that was all my own work and i'm proud of it, rather then someone else taking all the credit for starting the topic. Forty
Yes but personal fulfillment makes no nevermind to the bandwidth and traffic of these forums. If they want to feel like they've accomplished something original, they should post a discussion topic in the Debate forum, write a piece of work and put it in the Writer's Forum, tell a joke and post it in the Off-Topic thread. But redundance is part of what is killing this forum. When I come in here each day and see the same basic thread by some other Joe, it makes me not want to look in the forum again, and browse through another one. We want to keep all the subforums of this place in tip-top shape, seeing as how it's so massive and has so many thousands of members. I want newbies to feel welcome as well, but that doesn't mean they should be able to do as they wish, disregarding what was here before them. There shouldn't be a hierarchy, I agree...but there should definitely be some guidelines. You can't manage 28,000 people without any rules...it just doesn't happen. max_damage78
I wish people would stop complaining about too many wish lists. STOP YOUR WHINING YOU LITTLE GIRLIE MAN!!!! (this is meant to be read with the Dana Carvey Hanz&Franz character in mind, and is thus only in jest. I am NOT attempting to flame anyone.) If you don't like the topic, DON'T READ/POST IN IT! Sheesh.

Sheesh. Hey! Have you ever been in the forum one day, seen a post about it, then come in the next day and seen that a near identical topic being created. It happens quite a lot and that is what pisses ppl off. Calling ppl little girlie men won't help either.
Forty
I could care less what is in the thread itself, Max. It's the fact that so much space is wasted on redundancy. That is my whole point, which you missed completely.
