Time Trial #14 "Coast to Coast"

New Time Trial is now up. Starting at Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness, you need to drive to the east coast of the map, just south of Mount Gordo.

This route is pretty easy, but you should definitely attack the first corner and the corners when you come off the Highway, as this is where most time is gained or lost.

It's funny how the pic shows a Vacca,a car that is unlikely to be used in time trials

Haha, the ending is the best on this! Managed to fly past the final checkpoint two times. On the third try I crashed on the pole there but still under the par with 02:24.945.

Is there a way to check your time? I was going to record my first run but figured it would probably take me a couple tries so of course I ended up finishing on that first run at around 2:21 but I'm curious of what the exact time was.

It may tell you when you hover over it on the map - I can't remember for sure. If not then it definitely tells you if you go and sit back in the start point.

Nice, easy time trial. That 52k will come in handy for Tuesday...probably buy me a t-shirt or pair of jeans with that!

Took me about six goes (including hitting the telephone pole right at the end and taking too long to get back to my bike),

Had enough time up my sleeve to cruise along at the end, 2.25 with my Hakuchou.

Just start it again, it'll show your best time in bottom right corner.

I once saw two dogs mate. During the (very brief) act of love, female dog sounded very much like that.

I'm pretty sure it's Uninterested Iguana. If not then it'll be Uncle Ian.

John The Grudge

I suspect when Rockstar conceived of the time trials they didn't bank on whoever sets the time using a method that more or less forces players to wheely a fully modified motorcycle most of the way. They probably initially intended for people to be able to use cars. I think the wheely boost feature is bad for the game and should be patched out.

they probably didn't foresee the speed cap and the crappy patch that f*cked double clutching that f*cks your cars speed around corners

That timeline doesn't add up though.

You don't have to take the highway. The description even gives you the option. I'm gonna try the fun way, I've driven those roads hundreds of times.

I love it when butt-hurts come in these threads and say things like this. Get better at driving, like the guys that finish every single one of these trials in cars.

Also, the "wheely [sic] boost feature" that you speak of is nothing of the sort. It's incorrect physics, yes, but it was removed and then put back in the game because of a much more important aspect of it. Just learn to drive a car.

After last week's toughie, i was glad to get an easy trial this time round. My run was very far from perfect and the wet conditions made me crash more than I should have. In the end I was glad to beat it, might try again later when weather conditions are better.

I am looking forward to some of your canyon route videos.

I managed to crash in a rock near the finish checkpoint but I still made it in the time.

2:29:218 in my Hakuchou.
