WeaponApe
Sorry if this is a topic that comes up often, but I've downloaded GTA2 from two sources (don't want to name the one if it's illegal) and the other one being vike's enhanced GTA2. Both of them cause constant flashing/screen tearing issues on my Windows 7 64-bit pc. I've tried all combinations I can think of before running the game: Setting the compability mode to Win XP/98, running as administrator, checking/unchecking "special recognition", 16-bit colours, you name it. And I seem to get no results for this when searching for it, as if I'm the only one having the problem.
Sektor
What hardware? Tearing is usually a vsync issue but GTA2 doesn't have an option for that. Maybe a glide wrapper could help.
WeaponApe
Okay so I just pulled this from MSINFO32: Windows 7 UltimateIntel® Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors8 GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M I don't know what a glide wrapper is, but I seem to gotten it fixed by running it in window mode (requiring the patch to be installed in the 'original' GTA2 folder). BBBean
Have you tried to turn off desktop compositing when you play GTA2?
