Official General
I've played online in V, recently too, and The bottom line is that I think it's quite weak and boring. And, there you have it. My post obviously, doesn't apply to you, General. Just know that there's loads of "cool kids" bent on holding a grudge against Online just because the guy down the street's doing the same. I call them "the vocal minority". Others do, too. Sales and player activity are on my side, bro. I can't speak for others. All I know is that I just don't like it. My experience with V online just further cements my view that GTA is not suited to be a primarily online game. However money talks, the shareholders won't share my view and Rockstar will do as they say. Not only money talks, the consumer talks.Really ? Is that so ? Because I certainly don't remember anyone badly wanting empire building for online mode, nor do I remember any big campaign by fans for it But for SP ? Definitely. One of the most cited requests for SP additions in V was building a proper criminal empire and gang wars, not the half-hearted business crap we got. PatrickBateman
The thing I most hate is how every GTA trailer, dlc, promotion or what the f*ck else, always has the title GTA:Online. That says enough how R* supports the sp. Single player is over, and that's a f*cking sad thing. I bought GTA since I started (GTA 3 for me) because of the awesome story, same with GTA 5. And the only thing I see now is online this, and online that. f*ck online, it f*cking sucks, and is full of f*cking 5 year old retards. R* gives us, the single player gamers, the finger. Thanks R*. Batman, Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. Online fanboys have such a strong belief in MP games yet ignore the main reason people buy/bought the games. besides maybe COD and a few other FPS games people buy games for single player. gooeyhole
Sorry, internet lagged hard, quoted you 556357577 times. Canada has Somalian internet. Star Wars Battlefront debuted at number one in the UK for retail non-digital sales according to Chart-Track in its first week of release, and became the fourth fastest-selling title released in 2015. It marked the biggest launch of a video game in the Star Wars franchise, and exceeded the sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the previous record holder, by 117%. It was also the fastest-selling online PlayStation 4 video game, breaking the record previously held by Destiny.[67] Edited December 15, 2015 by Canadian Badass
.Smaher.
K, if the public thinks a game is sh*tty for whatever reason, most people will refuse to buy that it. That's a requirement. I don't know much about SWBF, but I'm fairly sure that if that game isn't deserving off an online player base that GTAO, including DLC, then people will be the one to decide. And once the money reels in, the business decides, too. Also, you referenced EA. Because Rockstar is definitely EA. Rockstar pumps out more free stuff than most companies combined. Shark cards are optional, you know. Edited December 15, 2015 by .Smaher.

The last time I checked, GTAOnline isn't a micro-transaction ridden game. GTA V is online focused now, yeah, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's doing something for the Online community. Doesn't mean it's comparable to a dogturd wrapped in plastic. Edited December 15, 2015 by .Smaher.

I don't think it's a micro-transaction ridden game, but it's possible in the next GTA or Rockstar title that micro-transactions are more numerous. BaxterJonez
This is getting wayyyyy blown out of proportion. You do everything in GTA - Storymode with much more on GTA - Online. For me. I prefer online. EVEN THOUGH I enjoy the SP alot. Why replay the story mode 1000x times? Like most single player games, The game is null and void after the story. Empty. Boring. There's so much to do with actual interactions with other players that really I couldn't see with if you didn't play online. I'm really starting to question if it's really the fact that people are assholes online for reason you guys won't play. I mean there can be varying reasons behind it, of course but some of you.... seems like you gotta break out your shells. Maybe. I mean. It's not like it's not GTA. It's the same game.
