BUT THE BENZ Posted December 6, 2015 Share Posted December 6, 2015 All 3 games are out, I'm waiting for screens and videos to see how it looks in 1080p . awesome "choice", probably gonna buy all 3 aswell! some may think it is overpriced, but, the music....oh god the music alone is well worth the money! and OH the gameplay....OH DAMN SON! also, look how it's 3 games and not even a total of 8 gigabytes....and now think how much fun/time you can have/spend with (especially) those 3 games - compared to the 20+ gigabytes crap games you get shoved down your throat as NEXT GEN these days....*sigh* I'm gonna gift this triple delight to myself for christmas Eh, you know what? Nihilanth1982 Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) pros: - opportunity to play them again - trophies for all of them! - good graphics, nearly as good as the pc cons: - song removals - no 100% trophy for san andreas - price they just need to get LCS and VCS on there to complete the 3 series, and perhaps try and make it possible to get the GTA4 series on there as well - thus completing the package! edit: and RDR.. I don't remember the PS2 version being so bad, but I played SA almost on PC only. The graphics feel like the drunk filter has been added. Everything is blurry as f*ck. It's dropping frames, even in cutscenes, it's dark, NPCs move like sh*t, the sunlight looks like it is a Mad Max game for C64. Mobile version sells for 5 bucks, this one for 15... My old laptop that runs SA smooth is worth about 15 euro.. The only positive thing about it: If you think the GTAV graphics aren't that good on console, switch over for 10 minutes to this version of SA and you'll enjoy V again. If IV comes out for PS4 one day, it would be possible to have all 3D games on one platform. Liked the idea. But this...this is just not the game i loved 10 years ago. I simply expected something different for that pricetag. Just had a look at some comparism videos and obviously SA always looked like this on PS2. I was expecting a port from the mobile version, because if I got it correct, that was what PS3 has gotten. I paid 3x the price that the mobile version costs and get the most crappy version available? Liked the idea. Been there done that since 2008. The PS3 is the best console to ever exist. Not just any PS3, the backward compatible PS3 from 2008 that they don't make anymore. This PS3 can play I, II, III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and V. That is 11 GTA's out of 13 in the Series. My BC PS3 can play all of these except Advance and Chinatown Wars. I have CW for iOS, though and I never played Advance. So yeah, I already own the Golden Era 3D GTA's for PS2 (III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS) and play the physical V1 Discs on my PS3. Then I own IV on a separate Disc and TLaD/TBoGT (EfLC) on another disc, and then I got GTA V for PS3. There is no PC and there is no Console other than the BC PS3 that can play this many GTA's. Sure, PC can emulate LCS/VCS and CW, but there was no "true" release for that Platform. Everything is on PS1/2/3 and that is why it's the best Console to exist since it can play everything on it. All the PS4 has is III, VC, SA, and V. The III, VC, and SA Versions are Digital and I never been a fan of that, either. I like Physical Versions of the Discs. I even went ahead 4 months ago and bought a brand new PS2 Slim just in case my BC PS3 ever dies on me and have all my Saves backed up and what not so I will never lose out and I will ALWAYS be able to play the Classics. A lot of people either are too young, or got rid of their old Consoles and didn't think twice about it. So all in all, nothing comes close to the BC PS3 for playing GTA on... If PS4 was able to do what PS3 could do, I'd own a PS4. But because it can't do half of what PS3 can do in terms of how many GTA's are available, I just stick to the best Console where I can play everything on. Furthermore, I already own III, VC, and SA for iOS including CW. So these new III, VC, and SA Ports aren't anything special to me as I had them for iOS a good year now and am comfortable playing there and PS2/3. Many younger generation gamers have not played SA before, and its the chance to play such a legendary title. 2. Its now apparent and clear that V was missing so many good things that SA still has and more. So many GTA fans have no issue going back to playing SA, and a proper HD remaster on the PS4 is the best reason to do so, even this late. 3. SA was so ahead of its time, its so huge a game with so much great things to offer that time is really not an issue. Considering getting this and just playing III/VC on mobile. GTA SA was a horrible mobile port, that Xbox 360 disaster was somehow worse, lol. Its good news then. Though - GTA San Andreas PS2 vs PS4 Graphics Comparison shows the PS4 version much cleaner over PS2, except that the PS3 remasters for PS2 games that were released at retail were far better than this. The difference is definitely there - it¡¯s just nothing special. I wonder why did they sell the crap mobile port for Xbox users than keep it original? Not a good move by Rockstar for the Xbox owners. Sony seems to have done the right thing bystaying true to the original, and asking for the price of "not a remaster" doesn't seem that disappointing to pay now. Its still high, and one should better wait for the prices to drop, but the fact that its not a sh*tty mobile port as a remaster is a good relief.
