Skateboarding/ Surfing in Los Santos?

Would you guys like skateboards added to GTA V/ Online?

We could either have them in our inventory, like weapons or even parachutes or body armour......or in our garage like bicycles

I know there are only a few skate parks but skate culture is big on the west coast and the map is made for great lines, I'm not saying have a full range of tricks, but an Ollie, spins and maybe ability to grind would be awesome....(inb4 play tony Hawks or skate 3)

As for surfing, this would be wicked,,there are already a bunch of surf shops at the beach but it would be cool to drive to one of the many beaches along the coast with some friends and hit the waves or just paddle around on your board, any one who has taken a jet ski and drove into the oncoming waves knows you can get pretty good air and some decent waves...

What do you guys think? Beach Bum 2 DLC or something?

This would be superb. The whole map is like a big skate park when you start looking at it like that and surfing could be a lot of fun too, people often say (understandably) that there's nothing to do in the sea so a skill based sport like surfing would be perfect.

yh I played bully and tony hawks underground 1 on ps2 and skate 3 on my ps3 the other day and it got me thinking, especially since bully is a R* game..

It'd be cool if there were regular controls for BMX and skateboards, as in square to change weapon and shoulder buttons to aim and fire, and an alternate control system you could switch to in settings where square does tricks which can be modified by the shoulder buttons.

As for it being implemented, I think it would be cool. I actually have some ideas for how it and bmx'ing could be done (an idea I had for a DLC concept I put together in my head the other night

Can't charge $1,000,000 for a bike...

 

$10k for knee pads and such but not much else hmmm

I used to skate board years ago, like most things in game IRL its much more fun.....it just fits with the whole west coast culture imo

They could charge large for boards...and customization.

 

Either way its not always about making money. They need to keep playing playing.. They get people playing and they will spend money on other things.

It doesn't seem to me that adding in a few grabs and a Superman or two would take a lot of work but I know nothing about programming. We can already do rotations, front and back flips and at least three different types of grinds so they've already made a move of some sort in that direction.

 

If they did add a skateboarding update they could add a new mode where you earn points from doing tricks within a time limit, Tony Hawks style. I reckon that'd be popular, there must be a lot of skaters and bikers that play GTA as well as older gamers brought up on Tony Hawks but who no longer buy the specialised games.

Well, R* did make a highly underrated skateboarding game back in the 90's, so sure; I'm game.

I'm serious, I still have my copy from 1999. Got completely overshadowed by THPS mostly due to the game's stiff learning curve compared to THPS.
