I'm thankful to be alive and to celebrate the slaughter and destruction of native people's and their culture under the guise of family togetherness and materialism. Girl I devoted myself to for 6 years abandons me an gives me brain damage, then I'm watching my father suffer from bulbar als and eventually die, and a week later my home an investment burns down in the valley fire. sh*ttiest year of my life. But in all seriousness, I'm most grateful that I have a caring family. Ok, yeah, except for my brother, and my mother and I get into plenty of quarrels. But though I often resist her trying to change the way I do things (aka use the computer all day and get nothing done), I know she's that ultimately she's doing it for my benefit, and because she cares about me and my future.
