Introduction:
It's 2018, the world is living on as normal, a few places aren't, like Greenfield. Full of drug trade and criminals, Greenfield is the criminal city of the United States. Located a few hundred miles west of Liberty City, it's quite enclosed from the outside world. Grand Theft Auto: Greenfield will dip players in to the dark and gloomy metropolitan area of Greenfield as James Roderick and his side-kick, Laura Hayden. Can players become a well known idle of the city, or will they just float to no where like nearly 85% of Greenfield.

Setting
Grand Theft Auto: Greenfield is not based on any particular city, however it's contents are inspired by cities such as St Louis, Detroit and several other American cities. Greenfield is the main metropolitan area, bordered by Yankerton, Roachville and Medwick.

Greenfield: Greenfield was founded by Arnold Greenfield in 1885. Greenfield greatly expanded throughout the 1900s with skyscrapers, factories and tourist attractions.
During the early 80s, Greenfield was thrown into the trash by high use of drugs such as meth and crack cocaine, and the rising population of gang members. By 1984, Greenfield was named as perhaps the worst place to stay in the United States.
1987 saw the rise of the Greenfield Gang, a bunch of gang lovers in their 20s and 30s hoping to make a change to Greenfield and make it even more dangerous than ever.
The 90s saw the never ending rise of the Greenfield Gang, they earned enemies as minor gangs emerged from the thick hard concrete streets, soon to fall to the Greenfield Gang.
2018, the streets are still thriving under rule of the Greenfield Gang, almost 40 years after the rise of it, however, the Greenfield Gang has earned many enemies over the past few years, and they're not stepping down, they want to clear Greenfield Gang off the face of the planet.

Yankerton: Yankerton is an area to the east of the metropolitan area of Greenfield, Yankerton is quite an escape from the violence and murder in Greenfield. Full of hills, warm log cabins and even a mountain, Yankerton is like a holiday at home!

Roachville: To the north east of Greenfield, lies Roachville, drive along the sandy beaches and meet a few girls at Roachville's many nightclubs. Roachville is full of residential areas, ready to rob!

Medwick: Medwick features a mainly industrial area with a dock yard and many factories, there's not much to see here, unless you want to bang up your buck by stealing a few shipments at the dock or just having a cruise across the coast.

GAMEPLAY + FEATURES

Phone: Your phone is where you keep in contact with friends, you can call, browse the web and change your wallpaper! Simple.

Robbery: The player can rob houses, shops and factories at the dockyard. The player has more than 35 homes he or she can rob and over 50 shops and dockyard factories. To rob a house, the player will need to break entry by either kicking down the door, gaining access with a crowbar or entering via an open window. Once the player is in, they will receive a noise bar, the owner of the home will get suspicious if the bar fills, so crouch and don't run so you don't get caught! The player can choose what they want to rob, players can rob things between kettles and televisions! If the player exits without being caught, the player will not receive a wanted level, take the stolen item to the Pawn Shop and sell it for cash, you'll usually earn between $15 and $800, depending on the item stolen.
To rob a shop, you can enter and attack items on shelves, you'll then alert the cashier, you'll have 2 options; light threat and a serious threat; the light threat would be 'Hand over the god damn money!', a serious threat would be 'Give me the f***ing cash, or you'll be dead!'. Once the player takes the money, they'll receive a 2 star wanted level, so you'll need to escape quickly! You can earn between $100-$4000, depending on the store.
To rob a factory, you'll need a gun, you can either sneak in or make a dramatic entrance! Making a dramatic entrance will alert the police straight away, so, not a good idea! To sneak in, you'll need to find an open door or window and exit, to make a dramatic entrance, kick down a door, smash in a window or shoot yourself in! The player will gain a 2 star wanted level when spotted or if the player held a dramatic entrance, you can steal items from the factory worth up to $18,000. Once you have escaped with the item, sell it at the Pawn Shop (items under $2,000) or find a buyer online for items over $2,000!

Gambling: The player can gamble at casinos, you have a choice of games including roulette, arcade, blackjack and horse betting.
You can gamble at:
Avalonia Casino - Greenfield
Winner Town Casino - Roachville
Sea Breeze Casino - Medwick
Wok and Wang - Yankerton
Elephant's Pension - Yankerton

Weapons:
Grand Theft Auto: Greenfield features a variety of weapons, many new weapons never seen before also make an appearance! You can purchase weapons from Ammunation, online or from street dealers.

Interesting. My main trope is with the radio stations. The problem is that they have too many easily recognizable song, and songs that were already featured in past titles. If you look at other GTAs, you're not going to know every single song (unless you've listened to the radio stations enough and memorized them all). Yankerton 101.2 is essentially what you'd hear if you turn on a pop station now. GTA stations aren't like that. Head over to the Create a Radio Station thread and they'll help you out a lot.

Other than that, I like how you put the history of Greenfield. If you did that for the rest of the locations, that would be great. I'm conflicted with the name Greenfield, though. It doesn't give off the impression of a criminal city, but at the same time I like how it pulls a "Greenland", if you will. It's the complete opposite on the name.

Waiting to see more. :^:

If you don't mind, I added spoiler tags so it didn't stretch your post ;)

Anyway, apart from Claudx's points, I feel the map could do with improving; the roads are pretty evenly spread out whereas normally they're much more dense in urban areas (i.e. the Greenfield area) whereas they should be a lot more spread out in rural areas (i.e. Yankterton). It also doesn't seem clear where the different levels of road are, it'd be helpful to separate motorways from main roads from dirt trails and so on. A bit of structure goes a long way!

That said, nice job so far :)

Are the vehicles just a copy-paste from GTA V without any changes? Also, the soundtrack seems to be pretty boring, since it's mostly about the stuff you can hear on Top 40 stations. Just like ClaudX said, go to the Create a Radio Station thread and someone may help you. :)

Fine with me! Yes I'll add different colours for different roads, maybe a lighter shade for motorways, etc. I'll also spread out rural roads

I wouldn't know how to show the levels in a map but I'll see. Thanks

Most, some have been removed. I'm working on improve radio stations. Also, I'm thinking of creating custom vehicles based off real cars to make a change

I like it. You've come up with some good ideas about selling stolen goods to pawn shops and buying weapons off the street that I'd like to see in the next GTA. The location reminds me of Liberty City in GTAIII which I don't mind at all. America is full of cities like this that have been left to go to sh*t and the death of the American Dream is a theme I would like to see explored in the next game.

Would enjoy seeing more mini-game and feature ideas soon, maybe something to do with the subways seeing as you've made the effort of mapping them out? :^:

Thank you! I'll be adding some mini games over the next few weeks, with one involving the subway! So hold on tight :D
