What do you do after creating a new character?

I created my second character today, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. There's no contact missions anywhere on the map and I can't request jobs from Gerald or Simeon.

 

What were you supposed to do again after creating a new character? I forgot.

Play the game. Join random mission invites and use thé "quick activity" option on your phone.

Tbh the first time I made a 2nd charter I just got in a jet and tried to kill as many players as I could without every dying , my KD got up to 132/0 cos I hadn't died from all the jet griefing , everyone thought I was a modder lol , and yeah

Did you do the tutorial? You do a race, buy some clothes, a deathmatch, missions for Simeon, Gerald, etc. It literally guides you through all of it.

 

You play the game as normal really. There is no super secret squirrel first starter mission.

 

Also you could have just requested to Rockstar Support that you wanted to redo your appearance. No need to start a new character.

tbf, the tutorial will get you to a respectable level so you can start playing, also try grinding a easy gerald mission a few times, you can get up to level 20 in no time at all

 

when i transfered, i altered the appearance on my main character as i didnt want to start again, but seeing as my second character looked like a guy, i deleted her and started fresh

if i remember correctly, if you dont skip the race tutorial.. when it finishs you and the players you raced against get the job to repossess a gang vehicle under that bridge near simeon.

I found a video on YouTube that shows how to glitch the game so you can change your appearance. That works too.

Alternate between first and second. I now have two level 650 characters.....

Spend time in free roam until you get contacts calling. Rob stores do gang attacks ask a friend to host some missions. Race parachute get to level 17 and you should have all the contacts unlocked. Remeber after completing the phones in missions to spend about ten minutes in free roam for the next call and DON'T HANG UP ON THEM.

I just started a second character last night. Got up to level 15 just doing quick activity (accessed through the main screen on your phone) and playing missions with random players...now that I've unlocked survivals I will probably keep playing them to level up my shooting stat. It really isn't hard to make progress once you get the ball rolling.
