First off, no one claimed to be better than anyone else. If you're going to try to prove a point, don't make false and idiotic statements. That just makes you look like a complete dumbass.

There's a not so fine-line between Hacks and Helps.

It's not difficult to differentiate between the two.

One wrecks the game, the other stops the wreckers.

It's hugely unfortunate the lamer of the two options are rampant in the game. I used to play on PS3 because i couldn't wait for the PC version and it was so much fun before the idiots arrived.

Having these idiots on a grander scale on PC has almost completely ruined the gaming experience. At least with using EIS it goes some way to restoring the game as it's meant to be played so we can meet up, do missions, increase the bank balance and gain new friends who want to play properly.

 

For the record, "hacks" aren't a violation of the forums, piracy is.

So - i was playing today and somehow some of my ammo disappeared (for example: minigun went from 10,000 rounds to 1000 rounds). Fill up on ammo before job start was shown as $100k. I tried to fill up - it took my money, of course, and proceeded to not fill up my ammo (twice!). After restarting the game (and NOT loading EIS because I was going to just go to a private freemode) I was able to pay the $100k and get my ammo full which remained full then.

 

I would be tempted to blame this on EIS, except that it (or something very much like it) happened a few weeks ago before I discovered EIS.

That sounds like a bug in GTA V.

 

The version you guys have does nothing to (ever) remove your weapons or ammo. And someone asked a few pages ago (perhaps it was you ) to add a setting that prevents people from adding weapons to you, and although I wrote an algorithm for it and have yet to test it, I'm still a bit iffy on whether it be a good thing to add. It's difficult to determine when the player is purchasing weapons, especially if it isn't done through Ammu-Nation. So, I will definitely have to put it through some testing before I feel comfortable enough to add it as an actual feature. Last thing I want is a bug like that in EIS ... after all, it's supposed to help you, not hinder you

 

So yeah. Since EIS does nothing of that sort, I'd have to say that's likely a bug with the game

 

EDIT: I also vaguely remember some people complaining about an issue where they bought ammo in the in-game menu and it somehow not saving a while ago, either in the PC section or the GTA Online section ... so I'm not sure if it's the same thing you mentioned or not. xD

I never called you any names, so don't make sh*t up. I said don't be an idiot. I did not specifically call you or otherwise address you as "idiot". Big difference.

 

Also. The game allows you to kick people via voting, and every kick and ban event is logged. Banning is just preventing them from returning to the session while you're there, it isn't a GTA Online ban. I know people who get kicked on a daily basis by modders and legit people, so it's nothing new. But in fairness, I can see this being an issue with some people.

 

Lastly, there are - once again - no cheats in this tool. Unless you're referring to the "kick" ability which is debatable.

 

Hopefully staff can decide on it and let it be.

 

EDIT: Also. This isn't an exploit. You should learn the terminology before you start throwing that stuff around.

 

EDIT 2: I managed to successfully detect whether you're in a job, mission, or freemode. So, I'll include that detection along with other things in the next update. Since there's an update to GTA Online on Tuesday which is in a few days, I probably won't release an update until after that, so that everything can be tested and checked to make sure it's all 'safe' with their updates. Of course, if this thread gets locked or staff say to not discuss it, I won't mention it here any further.

That is good news ClareXoBearrx3R9 ... Now one other thing I noticed last night ... when going into a "every bullet counts" session, the first time i spawn i have all weapons and ammo. So, I have to restrict myself to 2 bullets etc... When I spawn the first time, I hit F10+S to turn off the PSEC. So then when the next round starts I only have the correct weapons+bullets.

 

What would be awesome would be a way to completely disable the EIS before we spawn. But I guess we will wait and see about the changes that you already mentioned.

 

To people bitching that this is cheat software, notice how I am discussing ways to have it behave more NOT as cheat software? Me thinks the people bitching are unhappy that their cheats are being countered.

I think that would solve the issue. Make it act less as a software. I am not trying to down this program at all. If it can stop and detect then I think it is great. HOWEVER, I think it is something the devs should institute into the game. I do not think a person has the right to make something and then TRY to justify the use of it. Again NO ONE should have the power to do a vote ban or a ban if it is not in the game. That would be no differenbt then these mods that allow people to boot everyone in the room in GTA we have now. I am surprised you never heard of it. They are the top company in the field. There program is 99.9% undetectable in all games and they usually have it running within hours of release of a game. maybe you never heard of them because they are that good. Granted I would never justify it but it is just like this thing. both are ment to modify the game from its original release.

Sounds good. I've taken note of this and will try to have this addressed in the next update. I'll most likely repress the next update after the GTA Online update since it's coming in only a few days.

Yes, both modify the game, but I specifically designed EIS so that it cannot be used to attain an unfair advantage over others. There are absolutely no cheats in the software- with the exception of a possible exploit like someone just explained, which I actively work to fix.

 

On top of all that, the software has a built-in anti-cheat that will specifically disallow usage of EIS and gameplay if it detects cheats to be used. People who repeatedly cheat with EIS will be automatically banned from EISS, so they will not be able to use it ever again.

 

The only questionable thing IMHO is the kick ability. However, that is monitored automatically by a server and if someone spams it, they will be caught and again, banned from EISS. Keep in mind, the situation with other mods is far worse. You piss off someone with a mod and the end result is usually you getting framed into killing lobby, loads of money getting spawned on you to try and get you banned, and them crashing your game. Personally, I'd rather be kicked from a game than be banned from GTA Online altogether all because I was flagged sure to picking up money that some asshole dropped on me.

 

And if you're getting kicked from a lobby, then perhaps you should be griefing on others who don't appreciate it. Doing that is bound time get you vote kicked anyway in only a matter of time. Killing people in freemode raises your mental state for a reason, so don't claim to me it's part of the game. This isn't really my point anyhow, since like I said, the kick stuff is monitored.

Common bug. I have experienced that as far back as September when I purchased the game on steam. Make your large ammo purchases in ammu-nation to avoid it.

You just said we are not better than the rest of the cheaters. The only reason I downloaded this is to be able to have some enjoyment out of the game and to protect myself, as the cheating is so bad the game has become unplayable. Please be quiet as you have no idea what you are talking about.

I guess there is more to this than just the common bug of ammo purchases not being saved...

 

This hapened again last night. I did not buy any ammo after having experienced this the first time. What I noticed was that my minigun at some point went from 10,000 rounds to 1,000 rounds. Right before it happened , I killed someone, in free mode, who had killed me previously. Shot them through the front window of their karuma with minigun - very few rounds ... just quick burst and he was dead. Right after that he (I assume) froze me out of my karuma and started making me explode. I quickly changed to a different server. It was right after that when I noticed that my minigun rounds had decreased.

 

So ... I'm wondering if there is hack to steal ammo as well as guns or if it just some side affect to folks stealing your guns and having them returned ie: they are returned but the ammo is gone.... That would make some sense as the minigun is the only one that doesn't seem to share some common ammo with other weapons in that wheel spot.

I've made adjustments to address this, and will include them in the next release. Since this new update has "improved anti-cheat" (lol), I will postpone the release by a couple of days probably to test the new anti-cheat and ensure it doesn't flag EIS or otherwise impose a danger. Better safe than sorry.

 

I also find it worthy to let the griefing skiddos secretly be my guinea pigs. They'll surely download the latest cheats when they can without hesitation, and what better way to test the all-new improved anti-cheat than to have a bunch of 'em blatantly cheating? If the anti-cheat works, let them get banned and not the honest people.

I've noticed buying car upgrades isn't an immediate thing now. Each upgrade takes a few seconds to confirm.

Be interesting to see what the new anti-cheat methods are.

So after doing some research on their "improved anti-cheat", it appears that it is - at least so far as I can see - mostly transaction/money related. It I haven't been Online yet (been busy reversing their new system and preparing for an internal test release), but I heard that some people have gotten Online without issues and also people who have been fiddling around with modifying memory regions haven't been banned... so looks like we might be back to square one fairly soon.

I am currently preparing for an internal test release, which will be tested by a few people for 24 hours at minimum, just to ensure that there are no obvious conflicts with the new "improved" anti-cheat. I customarily do that because it's a security system and I personally would find it stupid for a security system to cause people to get banned.

 

So that being said, I should have an update released in the next day or two.

I am currently working on a program that will kick people or allow a kick vote on people who are connected to the online server for more then 30 minutes.

 

I justify it because there are alot of us who can not get the money to buy fast cars because hackers are killing us or are cheating. So this will makie it fair by giving us fair players more time to play.

 

I know there will be people who will get mad at me for doing this but its for the best.

Do that with my software and you will get a swift ban from it. As previously mentioned, all such activity with the tool is logged and abuse will not be tolerated.

The same can be said with any software you download. The only people who need to worry are those who don't know sh*t. I do not do virus scans myself nor on my network because virus scans are inaccurate and further, I control all the uploads to the network, thus I am aware they are safe. Further, the DLL file is hashed to the server before I release it and the file has is checked at runtime while the injector loads the file -- a file with an unauthorized hash will not be permitted to be used by the provided injection utility and in such a case, will notify the user that the file might be damaged or otherwise tampered with.

 

As for people who download it, they have the right to perform their own preferred best practices on downloading files from the Internet. If you believe it might not be safe, then by all means analyze the file yourself or - if you feel comfortable with an inaccurate tool - scan it with a anti-virus scanner. It might have some flags since it's a DLL that is being injected into another process and is partially obfuscated, but like I said, if you don't trust it, reverse it and you will see it's harmless and doesn't have anything "sneaky" or otherwise harmful.
