@ ClareXoBearrx3R9: You should had answered me as well. If you don't wanna post about it here, can you send me a PM in which you elucidate me? Please.

I went ahead and replied to your PM since I saw that first. lol.

Anyhow, regarding the question(s) of bans in GTA Online, all bans are treated the same in GTA Online: the first ban is usually 2 weeks, the second ban is usually a month, and the third is typically permanent.

Xenox's comment about it "eventually being detected" is generally a blanket statement that many people assume. It is usually true for recognized cheats, but it isn't always true for other things. With this having been in use for 6 months without anyone who's used it attaining a ban, I'd presume it is AOK. But like I said in my previous (longer) post, as long as you inject via manual mapping, you'll be fine. The anti-cheat checks the module list and by manual mapping, the module won't show up in the module list. So, to those wondering "will I get banned?" the answer is: not likely. Like I mentioned above, I've been using it for over 6 months (I used it prior to when I released it) and have had no issues so far with getting banned. Further, my testing team of over 30 people haven't been banned from this either. Not to mention all the blatant cheats that are being used Online -- it's fairly evident that those people aren't getting banned.

One important thing to note is that most people are using things Online that have cheats. EIS software has absolutely no cheats that could be blatantly abused, such as money and invincibility cheats, or otherwise, so there's generally no need to worry about this causing a ban. But like I always say, using any unauthorized software always involves taking a risk. Hence, the reason for the disclaimer that someone brought up previously. I only care to be honest with you (and anyone else) -- so I am not going to say "you won't get banned" because I cannot make any guarantees with that. On the other hand, I am not saying "you will get banned", because again, from the technical perspective of things, if you're manual mapping, this won't show up in the module list and thus the anti-cheat won't see it. Even when it was using ScriptHookV in the past, it was never something that anyone was banned for.

Hope that helps to clarify things.

Ran into a lot of cheaters this evening.

*Finally buy a hydra and my first pegasus vehicle so I am happy. Within 2 minutes of flying it, I get launched out, I parachute, and I am frozen when I land. Then i just repeatedly blow up so I leave the session. I reported whom I thought it was though. Shame as I was first in the event.

*next when I am coming out of LSC after modding a car, some guy in a bike comes over and starts blowing everything up with explosive rounds, while still on his bike. I report him, although i said armor-piercing rounds in the report. Thankfully I was in passive. Even when NOOSE came he was continuing to just blow them up easily. Only other person in the session as well...

I downloaded Clare's hack utility. I'll look into how to use it tomorrow. Real pity it has come to this.

Extended information security is a good program, I tried it, it keeps you secure from the cheaters, but I noticed that my game crashes everytime while using EIS.

Im also using MSI afterburner overlay, but I dont think thats the problem...

Are you using the stock settings / INI? If the crash is random, it could be PSEC's Clone/Ped Protection. It currently quarantines nearby peds and clones although this tends to cause random crashes after at-length gaming periods. Because of this, it's disabled by default.

I will address in the next update, so that it doesn't do that and will improve accuracy and detection so that it more accurately only removes malicious peds/clones rather than harmless nearby ones. I'll probably release an update in a week or so.

I am using stock settings, but ingame, I enable all types of protection, so yeah, it should be PSEC's Clone/Ped Protection.

Ah, that's probably why then. The detection method used isn't accurate enough to pick out only malicious peds, so I'll address this in the next update, planned in the next week or so. Meanwhile, I'd recommend using Panic Mode when someone tries to crash you. It should take care of most of the crash attempts. :)

How do I get all the text stuff off the screen? I tried F10 + D and using F2 but that just starts the recorder.

F10+D is for toggling the Dashboard off the screen and F2 is for toggling hotkeys. So if you use F2 to turn off hotkeys, F10+D won't work. That said, are you using Windows 7? EIS unfortunately doesn't officially support Windows 7. The tasks will run in the background for the most part, but most hotkeys simply won't work.

That said, one fallback solution you may wish to use is just disabling the Dashboard on startup, via the INI. :)

First and foremost, Thank you so much for taking the initiative to come up with such a useful program for all the legit players out there!

I am using Windows 7 and running your software with GTA currently. I tried looking for ways to disable the Dashboard via the program used to administer the injection, but I can't seem to find it. Please assist in locating this function for Windows 7 users as I am unable to use the F10+D method. Much appreciated!

P.S. Pardon me if this is a stupid question.

Not a stupid question at all :) It's a shame I can't support Windows 7 anymore sadly. However, you can normally disable the Dashboard on-startup by editing the INI. Hope that helps :)

I've always been a "Die-Hard" when it comes to operating systems but i bit the bullet with Win10 and upgraded.

Still not sure on the complexities but GTA sure does run a whole lot better on 10 than it did 7.

On top of what MrTay said, Windows 7 is simply obsolete. It was released back in 2009 so it's over 6 years old. Microsoft even doesn't provide mainstream support for it and general software policy is that I don't support OS's if they are over 3 versions behind (right now the current is 10, so I suppose 10, 8.1, and 8, and since 7 is 4 behind, I don't support it). I did try to support it, but everything I did to support it was shot-down due to limitations of the operating system.

TL;DR: It's obsolete -- if Microsoft isn't providing mainstream support for it, no point in me wasting time trying to get something to work that works just fine on modern OS's. :)

Personally, I recommend Windows 8.1, since it appears to have a lot of improvements over 8 which already improved over 7. I notice that the main reason people tend not to like Windows 8 and/or 8.1 are simply due to the "Metro" look and feel to it, which I admit, I wasn't a fan of at first. But people just need to realize that (on general level), unless you're going to write your own operating system, you just have to deal with it. :p I hated the new Android 4.x because too many things were different than what I was used to but applications on my Android 3.x were just too damn buggy. Seeing as I have no time or patience to write my own mobile OS, I had two choices: "put up with it" and upgrade, or deal with the buggy applications. I chose to upgrade and although it took a while for me to get used to, it's something I eventually got used to. Eventually, this is the case for most people -- we just have to move on and leave the past in the past. Otherwise if we didn't, we'd still be stuck with using the super-small icons and boring themes from Windows 3.1 ;)

Anyhow, enough of my rant :D

I released an update to EIS, announcement and changelog here: https://www.teamofweaponsandtactics.com/index.php?/forums/topic/362-eis-2015-r2-itanium-x64-edition-version-140-released

I added a bunch of stuff, most notably anti-freeze and kick from vehicle, made the anti-crash much stronger and more accurate, and added over 60 objects to protect everyone from. I also revised the stock INI to be optimized for security and stability, so as long as you use the stock settings, you should be safe from most malicious stuff.

Hope it helps everyone who uses it :)

I liked XP too :D I actually did a lot of my development not long ago on a virtual machine running Windows Server 2003 (and ran XP Pro 64-bit before that). Which reminds me- there was Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, which didn't have the 4GB limitation xD but yeah, I eventually started using my main computer for development. XP was good, but it hung every so often lol, which got on my nerves :p

XP is a nice OS, I didn't recorded it didn't had the 4 gigs limitation, but it's still too outdated and MS doesn't even support it anymore :|

XP has more freedom on simple tasks than win 7 and 10 tho

How long playing before you guys crash? Also, did you try to kick or ban anyone without host?

Also, you may want to turn off TPS (F10+U) and see if that helps. With so many cheaters these days, it might be too resource intensive to have the system try to crash all the known threats/cheaters, which is what that does when you're not host.

it happens after around 30-45 minutes of gameplay. I also tried to kick a cheater.

Its also a shame that I lose 5-6 or more frames while using EIS, but thats the cost for this great tool...

R*'s report system is a joke. It isn't even possible to report all the cheaters since you're only able to report them once in a while. I got some footage of them. Any idea how i can report them besides ingame cause R* removed their banhammer a while ago?

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, kicking cheaters without Host privileges is something will be "buggy" in every tool out there, even the griefing cheats/menus. And doing it frequently may also result in random crashing like the issue you described. There's no way around it- crashing other people is just something the game wasn't designed to do, so it will always be buggy. I suggest doing it at your own peril/risk. Doing it more often tends to result in a higher chance of you crashing later. Otherwise, stick to doing it whenever you're the host- and you shouldn't have that issue.

As for the FPS loss, you can try disabling PSEC to see if that helps. I never had any FPS drops but more importantly, I had the QA Team test this build extensively for a few hours, with no drops in FPS. They ran it at a solid 60 FPS at 1900x1200 without any issues.

I had a friend report to me today that he was lagging with PSEC. He turned off PSEC's POP, PGOP, and PFP (all on the second line of the dashboard), and said everything fine after that, no FPS or performance issues.

I would just like to say that this tool does indeed work. I installed it last night and all was well. I did notice some FPS drop when in the city while there was an active hacker. It was no problem when i was in the surrounding county area. I'm guessing that was because of proximity to hacker.

I noticed several messages while playing last night where problems were corrected that before would have been a source of great frustration:

-removed object attached to you

-replaced weapons that were removed

-removed malicious object (this happend several times - once during an air race someone spawned a huge jumbo jet in my path while i was winning - would have been funny to see his face when it didn't work for him. he left right after)

R* should just pay you for this or pay you to keep developing it or something. This works quite well and should have been what R* did to mitigate this stuff. With their elevated access, they could have also built themselves a DB of who was cheating.

And yeah, it's a shame that they haven't put much effort into minimizing the prevalence of all the malicious modders, even by just disabling some of the functions themselves, or monitoring them at the bare minimum. My tool by no means can take care of everything, but I'm definitely glad it's able to deal with most of the issues brought upon people by those malicious players.

With the upcoming update to GTA Online which will no doubt be expensive, there might be some desperate cheaters out there that will try to spawn themselves money so that they afford the stuff. As malicious as this may sound, perhaps it's a good thing they do that, they'll more likely get banned if they go ham with it.

I've noticed that money is sadly nearly the only thing these days that will get anyone banned, if even. For the most part, they added some basic/generic checks to check the value of spawned money bags and whatnot, so they could have easily put in a similar check for often explosion natives were called within a timeframe or something... but anywho...

Whoa! Waht a tool :) i have to give it a try!

But:

1) can it be injected only when i need it? I mean i can play all day on closed friends session where i dont need this utility, but then minimize gta, inject it, and go to cheaters lobby? :D

2) is it safe enough? I mean i dont want to get banned online for winter holydays ;P

3) do i need to do any actions to protect myself? Or this utility will auto list cheaters, delete spawned objects, protect me from being thrown out of car?

Thanks.

1. Yes

2. Yes, as long as you manual map it :)

3. Yes, though to get the most out from it, I suggest skimming through the manual or the INI ;)

I have found one problem with the tool. As part of daily objective, I went into last team standing job last night. I assume it was the tool that did this, but it gave me all of the weapons. I believe I was supposed to have a ball bat + 5 proximity mine, but can't confirm. The LTS job was RPGS vs Vindicators. It was one of those where one team is on top of some cargo containers and the other team has to jump at them. At one point I threw some C4 at the guy on top of the container and he accused me of being a hacker as I should not have had c4. Having played these types of missions before I know that I probably should not have had a full weapon wheel (which I did no matter which side i was on).

Also I did a deathmatch with fighter jets (don't recall the name). As I spawned into the mission an EIS message appeared about re-adding weapons that had been removed. I doubt I was supposed to have weapons as it was impossible to exit the plane, but can't confirm. Also prevented me from seeing what weapons (if any) I had.

Let me know if you have questions or the above makes no sense or something :)

PS: Some hacker last night in freemode began ejecting everyone from their vehicles, freezing them, causing them to explode. This happened to me as well. What I did notice, however, was that the explosions did not kill me (as if I was in passive mode, which I wasn't). I was able to just calmly hit the menu and find new session. Is that the expected behavior?

That is expected :) You had explosion protection on, which was set in the INI. In the next update, I'll add a toggle for it and make it as part of PSEC. If you fire a weapon, it disables itself for a cool-down period.

As for the weapons, unfortunately, I cannot detect whether in freemode or a job with limited weapons, so sadly I can't do anything there. Best you can do is PSEC before joining jobs :)

Also, Manual Mapping is a method of injection. You can select it from the Itanium Initializer, the injector that comes with EIS. :)

I tried disabling PSEC before I went into capture + contend (again for daily objective) ... weapon wheel was full - was supposed to be UZI + pickups. I used only UZI so as not to be cheating ... I'll try a couple more times at some point and make double sure that PSEC is disabled. PSEC doesn't turn back on by itself does it? It seemed like it was back on when I went back to freemode. If not, then maybe i was unsuccessful at turning it off

ClareXoBearrx3R9

All right, thanks for testing it and reporting back :)

The PSEC toggle thing is slightly tricky, basically because the game does some weird stuff sometimes. For instance, the game actually gives you all weapons in the game when you first start loading GTA Online and by the time you spawn in, it takes away whatever weapons you didn't purchase or pick up. So when I first programmed programmed the weapon protection, people ended-up spawning in a game and despite being a rank 30 or something and just loading the game, they would have rocket launchers and miniguns... lol. Also back in the day when all the PSEC subsystems were enabled by default, like Clone Protection and Generalized Object Protection, EIS would detect your clone when entering a cutscene (like changing from your your apartment to your garage or going outside) since the game clones your ped for things like cutscenes and when you're changing clothes, and would delete the clone, resulting in getting stalled and permanently stuck in the cutscene. The Generalized Object Protection also caused issues when loading Online because the game would load the objects and assets for your apartment or garage and EIS would instantly detect and delete all of them. The game is designed to stall until the assets have all loaded, which resulted in people getting stalled with the camera outside their garage or apartment until they turned off PSEC.

So long ago, I had to add a Delay Timer to work around all this and if PSEC is turned on in the INI, it remembers this, automatically turns off PSEC on startup, and turns it on after the Delay Time. I believe I forgot to consider one of the cases of people manually shutting it off, so I'll try to fix this in the next update. :)

I will also *try* to look into a possible automatic solution to disabling Weapon Protection when on missions and jobs, but I can't make any guarantees. :)
