The Safehouse? Certified Crew?

Hello there,

 

would anybody kindly explain me what the safe house is and how we get a certified crew in GTAForums? We are a Rockstar verified crew. Is that enough?

What are Certified Crews & Gangs?

Established groups that have kept themselves going through recruitment and dedication to staying active on the forums are sometimes awarded Certified status. This means they are recognised as an "official" group within the GTAForums community.

 

Certified Crews & Gangs receive the following:

• Their own member group
• Their own member group icon (pip)
• Access to The Safehouse, a shared private lounge

How does my crew or gang become Certified?

Certified status can be achieved and awarded at any given time. If you think your crew or gang deserves Certified status, an application must be sent to the Certified Commission, who will discuss and decide on your request.

 

Any group can apply, but there is an undisclosed criteria that need to be satisfied before being considered, and it can include, but is not limited to, any of the following:

• A minimum number of active forum members
• A minimum amount of time active on the forums
• Amount of members not already in other groups
• Behaviour and Warn Log history of founding and core group members
• Winning a Staff vote
• Winning a Community vote
• Winning a category in the Annual Awards
• Dedication to online gaming and GTA
• Being featured by Rockstar Games

What is the Certified Commission?

A group of members comprised of staff members, group leaders and forum representatives who decide on the day-to-day running and the future of Certified Crews & Gangs as a forum entity. A list can be found below.

 

i.e. being a Rockstar verified crew likely isn't enough, in general it's meant to be for crews with a strong forum presence as well.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Are there any more benefits in the safe house beside having a VIP-Status? We are currently thinking to create on own forum for our crew because it's very big and it's an effective way of discussing crew topics. Best way of doing that would be to have an own thread an a already active forum. We could do that on gtastunting.net because we have connections there and are known in the stunting community. But we are not mainly stunters and that would not match well in our opinion.

The only benefits you get are those listed above, really - the main part of it is the recognition, or as you put it VIP-status; though some people mostly like the pip beneath your username in posts

 

As for threads it's up to you, though if you want to be certified, as I said you'll need a forum presence here

I already told some of my crew members to make an account and they did. Would be aweseome to have a GTA Piloting thread where we could post multiple topics. Could this be possible? There are maaaany pilots on GTA and it has a big pro-scene but there is still no forum for it. I know many pilots who would support that project over YouTube (All of them have many subscribers (In total way more than 10k). We could make it work almost immediatly from the start.

You could create a separate thread for piloting, yes, but a separate section for threads is highly unlikely - those are only created if there's large demand for one. You should be fine with a piloting thread in the GTA V section, although that would need to be separate from a crew thread which should stay in the crews & gangs section.

Wewould need a seperated section though because piloting is very very complex and you can't discuss everything in one thread :0 There is demand for it. Would you please discuss it with the team? Piloting Community would apreciate it.

People have suggested new sections many times in the past, and the usual response is that if the thread(s) are becoming over-saturated with posts, or a lot of threads on a single subject are made, then there's the possibility of a new section being added - however before evidence of such activity can be seen there isn't really any reason to do so.

Thanks for the effort but that's not the type of thread we are searching for. We need a place where we can discuss Combat techniques, Jet Stunting like Hovering, Backwards flying and more. Some threads for the pros. I can make them visit the forums.

Sorry, I was responding to the person above me. If you want a thread for things like that, make your own - anyone can make a thread! If it's not exclusively for GTA:Online, throw it in the GTA V section.
