GTA V (PC) is the worst game of the year

This is going to be a topic that will warn you what you're getting in to.

Unless you plan to play with friends only, this topic is useless to you. If you want to meet new friends on the PC version, don't buy the game.

 

You are better off buying Battlefield 4 with Premium if you want to have fun to the max. This game has been in development for 7 years (counting PC) and it's broken more than Battlefield 4 was on launch.

 

OR buy Minecraft, that game is a loooooot more fun even without friends.

 

This game cost me 80 euros, and I guess I had about 5 euros worth of fun. So let's say it like this: You buy an apartment worth $500,000 and a Karin Sultan and tune it. Then you buy more vehicles and bikes and things. What can you do now (without friends)? You can race! No, you cannot. Joining a Super-car race is broken.

I'll explain.

 

SUPER-CAR RACING - SOMETHING YOU WOULDN'T EXPECT TO BE SO BROKEN

 

No one knows how to drive one. Trust me. If you ever heard anyone say "I'm pro at driving a super-car" he's lying. NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO.

The race will be normal for 15 seconds and then it goes mad. Everyone crashes and you will end up in the last place by flying somewhere from the impacts.

 

First Place Starting

 

You probably think this is good, right? You can keep that place easier, right? NO! There is 99% of chance that someone will crash into you and you will fly away or just crash.

 

BIKE RACING - IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL, RIGHT?

 

This is something we like in San Andreas more than anything else. Then GTA V comes... The bikes are more "crash resistant" than trucks.

Try it like this, get in a bike race, and just drive, there is a 100% someone will drive u into a rock / car / anything he sees.

 

HEISTS - Battlefield Hardline at its best

You probably bought this game mostly for the heists. We waited for a long time for them, and when they came... they were ending up more off a COD game than a heist. Team mates have no idea what they even need to do... not to mention the fact they are playing in English and they don't know english (Polish players have invaded fun).

 

HACKERS - MODDERS

 

No, GTA V doesn't feature an Anti-Hack cuz Rockstar doesn't care. There are ton of hackers and I don't mean Russians. Russians are hacking but not that high.

Look at this, Russians hack aiming and that, but non-russians can blow all players up in the same time. Yes, this actually happened and I have recorded it.

No matter how much you report the players, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN! The feature doesn't even work.

 

RATING

 

You can't rate this game over 4/10 or maybe even 5/10. It simply doesn't go over 5/10 even if you ignore hackers and characters. This game is worth about 15-20 euros and that's how much you should actually pay for it.

 

CHARACTERS

 

I understand single-player is dying, but man! We want characters we will like or hate, love or kill. Not..... what's the FIB agent you need to kill again? (I seriously forgot).

 

AI

 

7 years. Millions spent. And they still don't work.

AI is 3rd most broken part of the game. (Maybe even 2nd, too bored to think right now)

AI's are glitchy, and not just that.

They often do things no one would even think of doing even while smoking weed all day.

AI is turning even if it knows that you will pass him in about 2 seconds. He just doesn't @*%@&@%( @%&*.

AI just doesn't work. Why? Cuz why not.

Try it like this. Go to the prison break out. U will be the prisoner, tell the guy thats the officer to horn the cop on the entrance to the jail. 5/6 times you will be the one shot.

 

FINAL VERDICT

 

3/10

Over hyped, over priced, over bugged and so on.

The game tries to be "Hey! I'm finally on PC! Play me" but it soon says "OR ELSE".

The single-player has been saved by Trevor while the multiplayer is saved by Passive Mode and friends.

 

I understand that Rockstar didn't want to do this game for PC because they are a Console-Only developer now. But why... why in the name of Trevor Philips did you have to make THIS.

 

If you're buying the game because you wan't TPS Fun better go buy ARMA 3 for 20 Euros less. If you want heists, better buy Payday 2 (I know it's a P2W now but it's still a good game), if you want driving better get Project CARS or something like it. Want a shooter? Get Battlefield 4. If you want GTA, don't bother buying this game.

Here's an even better way to have fun in some GTA Multiplayer.

 

Get San Andreas and download SA-MP mod. I bet you will have more fun there than GTA Online.

 

Actually buy this game, you have to know how bad it is. I was once told by a school mate that a book is the worst ever, I didn't believe so I bought it for my self and it turned out it was worse than he said. (School? I'm in high school - Mathematical Gymnasium)

I agree regarding the SP portion of the game.

The vanilla game is the worst GTA Experience I ever had the misfortune to play.

Thanks to the mods out there that brought a lot of freshness into this boring title.

Regarding the Online, I don't care.

 

As a #trueGTAFan I am glad it sucks. The more online becomes sh*t, the more people will realise the importance of having the good old awesome single player experiences!!!

 

So yeah, hackers are doing a great job!

Rockstar spent too much time creating the 'tiny little details' and making the game a 'technical masterpiece'. I'm sure that unless your a game developer or modder, you won't care how to game works and no one has time to pay attention to the variations in peds, engine cooling noises etc.

 

I would pretty much accept these things, if the overall game was good, but it wasn't. I'll have to agree with you for the 'over-hyped' and 'over-bugged' part, but I think the game was still worth the money and all new AAA titles are priced around $60.

The game needs more SP stuff. The map is huge and gorgeous but the ratio fun/size is very far from being 1:1 (size>>>> fun, when it should be size = fun. We need more missions, more vehicles, etc).

first off the Singleplayer is worth way more than 60 dollars providing more playtime than most AAA games only in the MAIN STORY, with a bunch of stuff to do afterwards.

 

Second off you have a f*cking NON CONTACT option for races.

 

Regarding Heists, you know you are supposed to them with FRIENDS....

50 million overall succesfull sales say otherwise, in addition to the fact the game sold STILL on PC and Next Gen 2 years after its original release

Porting more things from GTA online to SP is a start (it can be done), a new story dlc would be great. This game (V) looks stunning but it's basic content was meant for consoles: PCs are capable of much more.

There were alot of sh*tty games released this year, but GTA5 is not between them. Even MP is broken as f*ck. SP part of game is really fun. Gameplay is good, graphics is truly nextgen, optimized, lot of settings.

Creating thread to basically say game is s*itty is useless.

totaly agree on that.

The SP totaly need

- online garage system + Mors Insurance

- Online heist vehicle + a way to control ourself the vehicle gun ( valkyrie heli copilot gun / insurgent pick up / karin gun )

- Benny motor

- ( we dont even have chromed rim in SP.... )

 

And a lot of "procedural" activity like some mod offer

taxi

fire department

rescue

assassination

car stealing

Military mission

Cops mission

going to prison if arrested, and need to escapte

Having access to the carrier and get mission..

More racing with better AI ( the actual AI while racing in sp is pretty crap )

etc....

 

There is clearly room for a tons of stuff in a such amazing map.. but no they only take care about the Online

 

after its CLEARLY NOT the worst game of the year, that game is still amazing and very fun, its for me nearly the best game i played since a long time
