Info needed re: Flapper haircut

Hi,

 

Just need some answers to these questions..

 

a) Does anyone still actually have the flapper haircut on PS4/next gen?

 

b) Has anyone had the flapper haircut restored/given to them/randomly appeared in their inventory on PS4/next gen? (If yes, give details.)

I lost my Flapper haircut ages ago - If I was being flippant I could say it was probably around about 1930

 

In all seriousness I wasn't even aware it was gone until it cropped up in conversation on here recently - I'm assuming it didn't transfer across from LG. I'd like it back though, so I too am interested to see if others have had it 'fixed' by R* on CG.

Support in general will be difficult to get items from these days especially Valentines Day and Beer Hats etc.

 

I think it depends on the person you get dealing with the ticket, some will give the items as a one time consideration, others will not.

 

I still have not checked my barber shop but I have a feeling I too lost that haircut upon transfer,. might try myself and report back.

Did they say why? Surely if they were able to give t-shirts to players who asked for them then it's no different, right? I'm assuming it's along the lines of a state change regarding player's profile and the availability of the asset.

I asked support if they could even let me have the chance to repurchase some of the V day content but they said no. Sigh. Didn't even ask them to GIVE me anything, just a chance to buy them again due to the lack of funds back then.

 

Dunno whether it's really impossible for them or they're under strict instructions not to entertain such requests at all.

It details my journey through R*'s support hell hole, and how I managed to get my items back. I was initially missing 3 Beer Hats, Please Stop Me mask, and High Flyer chutebag.

 

Beer Hats - returned 4 months ago after R* repeatedly telling me they have "No facility to gift the items back to me". I refused to let them close the ticket, and when Tier 1 support wouldn't help, I said "Ok, I guess this will have to be a formal complaint then, elevate this to Tier 2 support." Got 500k and my hats back.

 

Please Stop Me mask - Returned to me this week after I opened a new ticket concerning the mask and chutebag. Mask was returned (again, after repeatedly lying and saying it wasn't possible), along with 300k and an excuse about the chutebag.

 

I fully intend to open a separate ticket about the bag, and stamp my feet til I get it back. Full transcripts of my interaction with support are in my link. It's a long read, but it might help you get your stuff back. Also worth noting is that if your ticket isn't being answered, hit up the R* Support Twitter and spam it with your ticket number, gets sh*t done a lot faster.

I actually opened a ticket 3 weeks ago about this and it ended last week.

 

They asked me when, on which console, blablabla, to see if i actually owned it. Then i had 100K for the inconvenience, they told me they gave it back to me > ingame a pop up message on the bottom left of the screen saying R gave me clothes.

Nothing new on clothing or masks from VDM, and nothing in the barber shop. For some reason it doesn't show up. They kept trying and had the message pop up twice, still the same.

They finally gave me another 500k because they don't know and can't do anything else.

As it's french support not sure if they passed it upstairs so they could fix it as i asked and if i'll ever see that haircut again x)

A bit off topic but I am 75% certain we will see Valentines Day in 2016, I was really disappointed it never appeared this year but given all

the bugs in the code for those items I am certain they cancelled it to fix the items issues which makes me confident we will have the chance in 2016.

It takes a bit of perseverance, but it definitely works, I do it with all my tickets. If you leave it to languish, it can take weeks to get a response.

I opened a ticket about something, i can't remember what exactly. I know it was an issue that was resolved in the last update. But i also mentioned that i may be missing the valentines day content.

 

Neither character I use now was active at the time. My female character was started in May for petes sake.

 

The first issue was addressed with a non answer and $100,000. I answered not satisfied with answer to the survey and a second rep answered. Back and forth 3 times and bam, valentines content was unlocked. I should state that I had been an active member when the valentines content was released. Anyone who started after that date will probably have to work much harder to get the content.

 

I also sent a ticket about not getting the 25% rebate on my 4th property. They gave me a 100% rebate. They can be a pain to deal with, but if your request is reasonable and you stick to your guns, you will be happy with the results.

I raised a ticket after seeing that if you kept it through freeroam events you have it.

 

The first support rep said he had given it to me but when i responded inquiring as to why I still did not have it another agent told me they physically cannot give it as it isnt availiable. I even posted proof I had it along with SeaWallTx's information on the matter

I didnt get no monetary compensation like yall even though i kept stating ny displeasure. Guess im gonna raise another ticket

it's one thing to introduce new content on a specific day, but it's another to make the access to it time sensitive. not only is it a waste of time, effort, and resources... but now they've created an entire new problem with unintended consequences to deal with. and for WHAT!? i would say someone needs to fall on a sword for this, but thats far too honorable a death for such RSTARDED nonsense.

I kept mine for months after V. Day because I knew the second I changed to something else it'd be gone. Sure enough...I would really like the option to sport it ya know. Its the only other haircut I've ever rocked on my female character.

I imagine it'd be pretty easy for them to retroactively change how the game handles the Valentine's DLC content (since the content is obviously still there in the data) and make it so it works like the Independence Day and Halloween stuff in a coming update.

 

Have it so the Roosevelt shows up on the Legendary Motorsport site and the Flapper Bob in barber shops at least for people who bought them originally. Clearly they know who bought what.

 

How difficult could that possibly be? It'd be a hell of a lot easier to do that than having to handle it on a person to person basis sorting through two friggin' years worth of support tickets.

i just lost mine with the lowrider dlc. i went to switch to my female character and it asked if i wanted to remake her looks. the haircut was gone but at least my character looks almost female.

Originally the Flapper Bob was ONLY available during the Valentine's Day Massacre DLC, February 13 - March 3, 2014. However once the DLC was remove and the content was removed from the store, players that purchased Valentine's Day Massacre Content keep it in their inventory, everything that is except the Flapper Bob.

◆The Flapper Bob had to be kept as the Players Hairdo for the entire game, if you wanted to keep it(like I have, lol). But now that it, like the Mullet has been added to the Barbershops' List, you can simply purchase it for @$1,000, including Color and Highlights. Now if you later change you hairdo, OR if you STILL have the Flapper Bob and change it now you WILL be able to repurchase it at ANYTIME!
◆This MAY only apply to players that previously purchased it during the Valentine's Day Massacre DLC!
