PS4 GTA riddled with tons of jaggies during the day

During daytime, when playing GTA online, I can see so many jaggies from a distance. There are so many that the jaggies flicker at a distance as I move my camera/drive. It isn't nearly as noticeable during the nighttime/dusk though.

I tried to take a video/picture but it's hard to see since videos compress the image quality, eliminating many jaggies.

Is it normal to have so many jaggies on the PS4?

I'm on 1080p and playing on a Samsung 32' hdtv too.

Here's a picture of the jaggies I'm seeing:

Here's a video showing the jaggies flickering when moving:

Well all ps4's are the same you can pretty much bet it's the same on any other except maybe your ps4 is dying? check some videos on youtube to see if it's the same? Obviously it's hard to give you an answer without seeing what you are seeing.

I had this PS4 for not even a week so I'm pretty sure it's not a fault with the system and its not like this on other games like BO3. But the thing is videos on YouTube compress image quality which eliminate many jaggies so it's really hard to see. I did see some jaggies though still in people's videos.

Well i'd say it's normal then, i personally don't own a PS4 but i do have an Xbone and while it looks a hell of a lot better than last gen it's got nothing on a decent PC. If your coming from PC your probably going to notice them way more than the average console gamer.

I actually managed to take a video and picture of the problem I'm having. In the picture you can see the jaggies and in the video you can see the jaggies flocking (if on mobile, flip your phone horizontally for better quality video).

Having seen the photo and video, I would say that it's 'normal' - or at least it has been in my experience (both on PS4 and PC).

Nah, I just sit close to my tv cause I'm near sighted (2-3 feet away) so I'm guessing that's why it's a lot more noticeable to me.

Hmm I guess it's just the game then, looks like I have to just get used to it.

Yes, it's unfortunately normal. This game was written for old gen and then ported to current gen. You don't see this in most other PS4 games.

Ah I see, guess that explains why BO3 and Destiny don't look anywhere near this bad with jaggies.

I was playing Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (PS3 port) and you could virtually walk up the jaggies like steps. These GTA ones are barely noticeable in comparison.

Do you know what really Riddles my Jaggies? :D

(Sorry for the useless post OP - but that's all I could think of when I read the title)

In that case your perspective is restricted. You should consider a scan angle magnification procedure.

Smear Vaseline on the screen.

Or his eyes.

Or both.

In past games on Xbox 360, and PC games as well, (and probably PS3), the white lines on the road smear into blurred white areas as the distance goes further out. This is alias filtering intended to remove the jaggies. I've seen it so much over the years, that I ignore it.

The question is, does the PS4 have any graphics settings to trade off sharp jaggies for blurred anti-alias filtering?
