Rockstar policy on harmless glitches

Hey, I recall a period in which Rockstar stated they would not remove fun harmless glitches. Does anyone remember this post, or have a saved version of the post, or have a link to the post? Thank you very much!

Nope, it was literally just putting a crew color over whatever texture you wanted, it works on PC but has been patched on consoles since sometime last year I think? Since you had to buy the paint you wanted to overlap it was often very costly.

It was broken, not "patched" you can see how broken the crew paint code is in the race car +1 race glitch. They keep trying to fix the colours but seemingly have no real clue how to fix it. 18 months and still not fixed.

Obviously, I think the stuff like the invisible outfits are way worse. I don't equate all glitches. But I don't like any glitches at all. I thought they were cool for about 50 seconds back when I was 12, but I don't appreciate any glitches in any way whatsoever.

 

All that any of the popular glitches in GTAO are is a way for narcissistic, uncreative children and immature adults to call attention to themselves, annoy other players, and encourage others to break the game.

Lighten up, jeez! What's wrong with having a glitched paintjob on your car, or a transferred logo on a t-shirt? It's not making me invincible or giving me super speed. The only way it ruins your fun is that you are letting it ruin your fun.One last reply because I like you.

 

They don't ruin my fun. I play the game with these people all the time in long playlists. Sometimes, I don't even roll my eyes at them.

 

But when the topic comes up in the forum, I have a moral obligation to flame glitches and all who support glitching because the mentality behind it is cancerous to a game like GTAO.

 

Glitches weren't a big deal before online gaming.

 

In massive online games, they are like gateway drugs to the worst and most terrible forms of glitching and modding.

 

I hate them all.

 

If I am able to boss and be awesome and have endless fun without exploiting one single glitch, why do so many fools have to resort to using them?

 

It's plain and simple vanity and narcissism. Whenever I see somebody who enjoys using glitches, I instantly shelve them in the psychologically suspect bookcase along with the various other forms of weirdo GTAO players (modders, suicide griefers, jet griefers, etc.). Glitchers show evidence of the early beginnings of anti-social personality disorder. And I bet you think I am kidding.

 

It's one of the most toxic concepts in GTAO.

It's getting a bit heated. For anyone who doesn't understand why certain glitches were removed, here are a few examples:

 

#Gate Glitch: pinged across the map at 40,000 mph. it caused a problem because of the amount data that would need to be processed travelling at that speed.

 

#Wall Breaches: hiding behind solid walls and moronically killing people in freemode.

 

#Money glitching: destroying the GTA online economy.

 

Just some examples for you, but I agree, there are many glitches which surely don't impact the servers or abuse the GTA economy.
