YouOnMyBlockNow
I believe that there should be some realism incorporations that would really help GTA V. There are some mods that really get the job done, and of course you already need to install a combination of mods that would need to get anywhere close to realism accomplished in the current gameplay. -Peds react to you crashing into their car. (They don't just flip you off and drive away, they get out and whoop your ass. OR EVEN BETTER: Get out of their car stationary and start arguing with you, and/or call the police. [Additional arguing dialogue or VOX placement required] -No hud showing up when switching weapons (When HUD and/or Radar disabled) -Weapon and ammo carrying limit (Feature accompanied with a new hud of only 2 weapons [like an assault rifle and pistol] and a melee weapon) -Police don't shoot at you for doing minor crimes. -When you kill a lone police officer, the whole police force doesn't know right away and come after you. -Airbag implementations with physics. Not sure how it would work if you hijack a car with the airbag already deployed. (Difficult, but realistic!) There were a few really good mods that NEARLY touched on these issues, like: Stealth Fix by State_of_Mind (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/stealth-fix) - Allows you to kill peds without causing police attention unless witnessed. Ah! A Criminal! Mod 1.0 by mrgaboofox (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/ah-a-criminal-mod) - Peds run away when you draw your gun/weapon. Civilians Won't Leave Their Cars Anymore by ycdubs (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/civilians-won-t-leave-cars-anymore) - Peds drive away instead of leaving their car behind. bizzlezx10r
I think this is an amazing idea actually. Imagine rear ending somebody and they get out and start bitching only to get their block knocked off by you. I would also like to see more fast food joints other than the ONE Burger Shot - with working drive-thru! YouOnMyBlockNow
Awesome! Feel free to link that mod, InfamousSabre, if it's done/going to be done, I'll check it out! GTA Realism video updates have also gotten intense. They've been stepping it up, the combat system itself looks ridiculous. I cannot get GTA Realism to work though, as well as some other people, which sucks, I may have to reinstall GTA V. The installation and combination of multiple mods on GTA V is annoying, although now the new OpenIV has .oiv packages that the user can use (IF the developer/modder packages them) to install the mod packages instead of modifying/deleting many files. I found some realism mods that I will link down below for anyone looking for specific realism (like I am). The thing with GTA Realism and Real Life Mod is that they have multiple features and kind of turn the game into a total conversion or TC because of that reason; and in my opinion there should definitely be a single mod that addresses realism issues. I do think it's interesting how all these mods are getting upgraded, and it's interesting to see features be added through developers using their imagination and also collaborating on mods. More realism mods: GTA Realism [Multiple features] (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-realism) Real Life Mod [Multiple features] (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/real-life-mod) Real Weapon Names (https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/real-weapon-names-updated) Real Location Names (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/real-location-names) Real Car Names (https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/various-car-name-changes) Realistic Ammo And Clip Magazine (https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/realistic-ammo-max-and-clip-magazine) Real Paramedics (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/real-paramedics) A lot of mod developers usually recommend mods in the mod's summary section on the site, to use with their mod, and some mod developers will support other mods and most of the time will add different versions for compatibility for other mods (ex. A weapons.meta mod modifying weapons that supports a weapon sound mod, but will have another version for general compatibility without the sound mod). In some cases, you will find that some mods will conflict, say for instance, you overwrite a file that another mod used without realizing it, and the mod will not include all of its features for example, or have problems because it required that mod's WHATEVER file to function. THE SOLUTION: To achieve the type of gameplay that I MYSELF would find awesome, I have to combine a lot of mods together. This is either through OpenIV and combining various mod files alone, or using a hex editor manually to combine mod files into one, THEN using OpenIV to place the mod file(s) that I created FROM combining the mod information. First of all, some mods with few features that you're gonna wanna together probably will use the same file, and you will not be able to combine them to use in the same game. The two mods titled Real Weapon Names and Real Location Names, use the same global.oxt file. For example, if you want to use the two mods titled Real Weapon Names and Real Location Names, you're going to have to you have to use a hex editor with file comparison capabilities. Then, after comparing the file information, you need to then combine the file information into one file, hence merging separate global.oxt files into one file and save it. Then take the modified global.oxt file that you created and update it to OpenIV. ikt
You've got a lot of ideas, you could try merging mods into a package by yourself I'm sure you could get some cooperation from the mod authors if you ask them.
The_XXI
Crime & Police Rebalance and Enhancement is a way bettr stealth mod if you ask me. Add to that Refined Weapons, and Streets of Brawling, and you have a nice set of realistic vibes. Now the only thing that bugs me is police not climbing over fences, they only climb over in certain situations. I wish I'd know what file makes them climb over. EDIT: Just found out about this https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/realism-dispatch-enhanced Seems pretty tight. Yeah I keep posting on GTA5-mods.com to GTA Realism's page, but they don't respond. I'll figure something out, I do think if I knew how to mod, which I'm going to start to, I could make GTA V boss as f*ck. Yeah I've used RDE, they seem to climb fences and search for you way more. Depending on the custom script you choose in the scripts folder of the mod, they won't give up until they find you. In CPRE, like you said, I find they rarely do that. It's a good feature, it adds suspense. You'll be hiding in some random backyard and they're right there hopping the fence. Pretty awesome. There's tons of mods though and it's frustrating like I said, to sift through all of the ones with cool descriptions and the ones you have and try to see if they play well together. Most of the times when you combine mods yourself, you'll take out the natural vibe of the mod if you only replace certain files to make multiple mods work together. I just feel like GTA V was way too unrealistic "vanilla" mode or whatever they call it. When I play a game like Mafia II, and there are traffic laws and things like that, it just really amps up the game. I just don't understand why it's 2016 and a lot of people just don't care if the game they're playing is realistic or not. I know graphics and things like that aren't life-like yet in games, but they're getting there. Developers need to realize that they have the potential to make any game realistic in this age, and they're not even really doing it. That new SQUAD game and the ARMA Series which I haven't played, only saw gameplay footage, looks realistic. The only game I can really play anymore is Insurgency, and that game still isn't 100% realistic but it's pretty close. But there are close to no games that have that feeling. That doesn't mean that it can't be achieved through modding! Edited March 3, 2016 by YouOnMyBlockNow

YouOnMyBlockNow
InfamousSabre, uh-oh! I think GTA Realism's team beat you to it! They now have a weight system and weapon carrying limit! https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-realism I think this is due to the 2 new developers who recently joined, there's tons of new features in it too, you should definitely join the mod team, as they are looking for developers/modders. YouOnMyBlockNow
InfamousSabre, it isn't all that realistic! Your mod would help when it is released and I will include it with mine! - UPDATE! Also, I found a way to blend global.gxt files, so I will begin working on a mod which blends many mods together.
