Regular 2X cash PVP Events - EVERY week

Rockstar should do more 2X extended PVP event weekends to break up the monotony of grinding heists and contact missions for cash.

I had really good fun last night doing the various adversary modes, walking away with 300 grand after various Slasher, Keep The Pace and Offence/Defence sessions. Yeah, driving around and getting bashed in offence/defence can be a bore after a while, just like hiding behind crates/tables/whatever in Slasher can get a bit tedious, but I'm just saying... Rockstar need to keep up the fun factor and let us get good cash while enjoying PVP events at the same time.

 

Don't get me wrong. Heists are a useful way of getting cash too, but the more organised you become at doing them the more join-the-dots and monotonous they are. Contact Missions are also a great way of making cash, but I spend half my time dicking around and AFK these days, just to increase the payouts.

 

I love GTA online but Rockstar should allow us to have more fun and give us more 2X cash PVP events.

Well I'm all for more 2x cash/rp events but NOT PVP as the amount of lag I experienced this weekend was horrible

and I ended up not really getting much cash out of the event at all, not to mention excessive amount of deaths.

 

These events were not really much fun in my eyes though I like Slasher but the others were yawn a minute and I

ended up not playing them after doing one of each event to say I'd played them all.

Should be more 2x cash for heists, i made a killing in those weeks it was insane! don't really play pvp especially since everyone is usually American which makes it laggy af :/

I want to see more variety in the game, and Rockstar could promote this by giving us regular 2X variety.

 

Seriously, if I have to do another Pacific Standard or 'Sinking Feeling' (which I really love btw) I might finally get Fallout 4, lol.

Contact missions need the 2x treatment.

 

Without the cap on payout which IIRC is 50% of the total.

Why don't you play missions instead of heists? You make more money on missions than heists plus its more variety and people can actually die without restarting the whole thing.

I'll take LG FR events with double pay, spawning every 10 minutes or regular pay, spawning every 5 minutes, over 2x cash of modes and events that require other players that couldn't care less.

Why can't they have 2 days per month, always spread out by 2 weeks, where all contact missions are double rp and money? Then have one day a month like that for heists too. That's not asking for a lot, right?

Or make it so the daily objectives are the same for everybody on the given day.

Everybody playing captures on monday, last team standing on tuesday, etc.

Those game modes can be fun to me, as long there are full lobbies.

Maybe a buff on almost all contact mission payout by 10 percent but thats it.

 

Edit: all those things are nothing compared with a true fix for matchmaking though....if all jobs woud in fact fill up completely under 60 minutes 90 percent of the time money woud be coming in hard for everyone

I agree fully about matchmaking problems. We've all played games like Halo and Destiny where getting into full lobbies takes little organisation and is really quick.

 

But even if Rockstar do fix matchmaking, what about all the hobbies and pastimes like Tennis, Golf, Shooting Range, Darts, Arm Wrestling, etc... that pay out NOTHING? Do you want to be in a full lobby for those, when GTA is based around a $$ economy?

 

Racing is another good example. I've made $60k+ from a single race in full lobbies, with careful betting, but how often have you won a race any only received $3920 or less? Or come in fifth and won a mere $500? People moaning on the mic, "five laps of that and only 2 grand"?

 

That's why I think the Adversary 2X events were really fun. I was walking away with 30-40 grand after a short session and mostly enjoying it.

 

I think Rockstar need to re-balance payments on PVP activities a bit more. Otherwise people will continue to grind NPC activities like heists and contact missions in small crews instead of exploring out into full PVP lobbies for real cash making opportunities.

People will hate me for it, but when is the last time survival mode got some love? They never use it for any events or anything. Say what you will, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it is the only mode that actually gets a full lobby together in under a minute (usually). A lot of people play it and it consistently gets ignored.

I used to love Survivals when I was a relative GTAO noob. One of my daily staples. But I hardly ever play them these days because they are balanced towards noobs. High level players can't pick up any of the weapons on the floor (because you have them already) and you end up carrying the noobs through the later levels with expensive shells, stickies, grenades, etc.. And they need to re-balance payouts too. Only 18k for completing level 9, but an extra 12k for completing the final level.

 

Rockstar have tweaked other things too. The AI on the NPCs is much more aggressive, and the MG and Combat MG now do serious damage.

We just do not need that level of 2x anything. It's already too easy and quick to level to 120 and have everything unlocked. Some people are so impatient lol.

 

I do think we could do with a little more variety, because 2x cash and RP on Gang Attacks is f*cking pathetic, and Heists (imo) are boring as sh*t these days. We could certainly do with bringing back Crate Drops to FR (really feels like radio shirt round 2 should be due soon), and a few other FR events would be nice. I'd appreciate them doing more things with contacts in Free Roam, like a weekend with no contact cooldown (like the good old days) and things like that. Ya know, proper variety.

 

Mix all that up with 100K+ bounties for the course of the event, and sh*t will get fun, fast.

I agree with you on this, the payout's were good but the need to sort out the matchmaking/lobbies and MOST importantly LAG issues when playing

PVP need to be sorted out in this game, it's driven me to other game as playing PVP in Star Wars Battlefront at the moment absolutely no issues

at all in that game.

 

When I go down or someone goes down from my gun they stay down, if R* could get the lag issues sorted out I would have no problem in PVP

and indeed a better payout system for such events.

At the end of the day, the best way of making cash in GTAO is grinding heists or contact missions against NPCs with a competent crew.

 

But there is only so much repeat grinding against NPCs I can take...

Well, I could suggest some contact missions getting a small temprary boost in payment, but it will probably end up sounding like "I want more money!"

I think tou shoud indeed put bets atleast on all competitive jobs.....but that thing on racing woud be solved if you always can race if a full lobby, the race is not to short and every person leaving during the race still being acounted for

Well, perhaps that truly means more stuff should be unlocked at higher levels. Basically agree on the remainder though!

R* did have notions of regular events and has been running an almost regular double money events with every update (which aren't quite regular). Also, if i'm not mistaken, there was a very brief mention a while ago of spot bonuses with certain missions and races. If R* would just commit a little to the notion and make a weekly or bi-weekly run of missions with double pay (such as Lamar or Gerald missions) as well as select PVP events.

Also, if i'm not mistaken, there was a very brief mention a while ago of spot bonuses with certain missions and races. They should just double the payouts on PVP jobs permanently. Most of them don't pay you jack sh*t so people don't really care to play them which makes it hard to find matches with a good amount of people(the matchmaking system itself is also pretty broken). I enjoy them more than co-op so I wish R* encouraged more players to engage in them.
