B_Smiles
Page updated (again) 30/03/2016 A couple of months back, I finally managed to track down a second-hand copy of the XBOX Double Pack, and ever since acquiring it I've been wanting to make a thread to show what it looks like in comparison to the original PS2 version as well as the PC release, even if it contains content people have already seen. Don't expect perfect quality as these were taken with a digital camera. Also, feel free to ask if you want any shots in particular, since I know I'm probably missing loads of things. Notes: - Flash FM does NOT have the Lionel Hutz Ritchie song 'Running With the Night' - 'Coming 'atcha Live!' is bugged on V-Rock (track stops, skips ahead slightly and then continues playing) - Issue with the mission complete sound. If you move around just as it plays, the game begins to stutter and lag to 1FPS - Game is a mix of PS2 / PC, and obvious XBOX enhancements - Radio station output sucks. Now, my PC surround sound which I thought would make it sound better. But no, even if you turn up the in-game volume AND your TV volume, IT.IS.STILL.INAUDIBLE. - There are minor bugs with some of the SFX, some play louder than they should or don't play at all - Lags when there is heavy traffic, lots of lag inside the mall as well - Delay in audio when Tommy crashes into car / takes money from dead pedestrians - Lots of FPS spikes at times - Pedestrians are VERY talkative - Freelook camera (think that's what you call it) DOES NOT return to the default view, meaning you don't have to hold down the thumbstick. It only goes back to the regular view when you move. On the PS2 / PC the view resets after a couple of seconds. - Game uses dynamic lighting and shadows, and while the particles almost look the same. The fire particle has been improved. Boot-up screen Loading screen (no character artwork, just this screen and a loading bar) EDIT: Fix'd Here's the revamped menu, with the various sub-sections underneath. Each ''tab'' is split into it's section for easy reading. The logo in the right hand corner is animated and shimmers every couple of minutes Map page Load / Start New Game page The mission 'Briefing' section Also notice the tutorial briefing sub-section, used for when you first start playing and getting used to the controls and such Stats / unlocked items pageStats Now, this is a neat little feature added to the game. The unlocked items section actually keeps track of your progress / collected major items, and unlocked outfits. This is also a permanent memory state, meaning it'll never go away. Controls Audio Display Disconnected controller warning You are also able to watch the credits within the menu. And now for the ingame stuff Splash screen #1 Splash screen #2 Interesting note, some of the vehicle horns are different to the PS2 / PC. And they alternate in pitch / tone - Also note the dynamic raindrops here and how they move across the screen when you're turning Unfortunately, the idle animations are broken like the PC version M60 - NoneFlamethrower - NoneRocket Launcher - NoneChainsaw - NoneRifles - None----------Howlin' Pete's Biker Emporium, Downtown Note the absent window logos. In my honest opinion, it looks much better like this. Mall roof is transparent like PS2, but there's something wrong with the alpha Missing mesh at Hyman Condo fixed Inside the mansion, a roof has now been added Upper floor of Mall car park PC bench advertisment Bunch of Tools with white greenwall Position of Skimmer rotated 1800 like on the PS2 The ammo count is outside of the icon box for all of the weapons The table in the upstairs office has no glass Greenwood with bugged red steering wheelInstead of the PS2 WFYG2 (groupie) the game uses the PC modelPC model of the 'Kruger' with shortened stock, barrel and non-wooden body.Entrance doors of the Malibu Club are pink, which is unusualHeading inside the North Point Mall, the walls above these stores have a mapping bug which is quite evident (also, Vice 'N' Easy?) Also, when you stand up there, the entire section is transparent.Washington spawns in this colour (you WILL see three or four vehicles with this colour) EDIT: This vehicle spawns ONLY in this colour. YOU HAD ONE JOB R*! ONE JOB!Inside Apartment 3C, the windows appear like on the PS2Also, the texture for the shower controls, which was missing on the PS2 / PC have now been fixed. Don't know why the blood is blue though..The property locked icon is blue when it should be redThe pharmacy in Vice Point now has windows Note: Mugetsuga confirmed that the PS4 port has added this window tooPS2 water (better shot) updated 26/11/15And lastly, the cornerstore in Vice point with windows from the PS2, yet missing Interior reflection Edited March 31, 2016 by BeckermannDewitt Masny, Darkdrium, thehambone and 7 others
B_Smiles
I like that unlocked iteams feature a lot. Wish it was in PC version too. Yeah same here. It would really help players who forget what they collect and who would need to refer to the menu. Changed like on PC too. Yep, that's right. The PS2 version is the only one with the windows intact. Wonder why they changed the hotel name for the PC / XBOX (copyright?) B_Smiles
I don't know if is the same as the stock PC port, but looks more broken than the PC lightbeam. It kinda looks like the PS2 port as the beam is modelled on both sides (backface culling), and the beam has a face. Maybe it's a mix. (but still broken)

Sorry, I seem to have completely forgotten about this thread Aaanyway, here's Rosenberg's admiral Front / side Back Engine block (mhmm details) And some new stuff Freight Terminal Should say Escobar instead of just Vice City HQ suit bag (lol) Jocksport store, Downtown Jocksport store, Vice Point Virtually untouched like on the PS2 Lighthouse Note the missing lens Seems like the 'Havana' outfit glitch has been stamped out. I didn't do the missions in order, and the pickup icon generated inside the doorway. This is also my third new game which yields the same results. Malibu club doors (closed) Golf club golf ball statues missing texture like on the PC Funeral parlour (Censored Bela Lugosi poster) Ocean View Research Centre, massive section of missing mesh from LOD Ammu-Nation, Downtown The windows look really nice here, you can actually see through them more Deli, Little Havana (Tomasak, is there ANY difference to the food here to what's on the PS2? Textures seem the same to me) Marina (should be Vice City Marina ffs) Closed down pharmacy, Prawn Island PC 'Ellee Chemists' sign instead of PS2 'Elbee' 1102 Washington Street Traffic light by laundromat Front facade of lawyer office with intact 'Hotel Harrison' od_bigshops02 (view #1) PC Hooker Inn sign od_bigshops2 (view #2) Edited March 29, 2016 by BeckermannDewitt xNCx

Have you noticed during gameplay added shadowing like on GTA3? here is comparison from gta3 Yeah, that appears to be a reoccurring thing here. What IS the deli food meant to be anyway? I'm looking at the PS2 file and I see absolutely no difference. Except the quality, of course I bought the double pack, so yep. Oh! The buildings! I see it now! Never noticed that actually
